>Well i hope they can get jaleel white to do the voice of genesis sonic this time
because that worked so well last time
Dreamcast Sonic looked great. Sonic's looked pretty derpy ever since Sonic 06.
fuck this guy.
i need to get back into 3DS Max
Would be cool if they made a playable Never Lake in Generations 2.
how the fuck is he doing this? fucking asshole
this guy is good
Dreamcast Sonic is actually slightly different, though it's not pictured well here.
Dreamcast Sonic has the green eyes, and the longer spikes, but he's also still pretty chubby compared to Modern Sonic, at least in SA1, he is.
"Modern" is the most autistic/perverted.
The old looks very inhuman, and the latest has morphed into something completely different, but it no longer has the bare arms and the belly patch, the nastiest part of Sonic, is reduced.
The difference between Dreamcast Sonic and Modern Sonic is that the former was made for lower quality Dreamcast/XBox/PS2/GameCube/Wii consoles while the latter was made for higher quality 360/PS3/Wii U consoles. It's just an update for graphical quality, not a conscious effort to change the over look like the initial jump to Adventure and Boom were. The biggest difference between the two is gameplay (platforming vs. boost) instead of appearance.
>"Modern" is the most autistic/perverted.
They said that they are quite happy with Boom and that it's sticking around. They are even making the comics take a detour from their arcs to into making side stories for this year and since the Megaman comic got canceled, Boom's comic is likely to resume production.
>SEGA wants to do an honest-to-goodness classic Sonic game
>Can't do Sonic 5 because Sonic has already "grown" in to Modern Sonic at that point
>The solution is obvious
Sonic & Knuckles 2
What's your reaction?
considering how much they're pushing "& Knuckles" I can see this happening
I fucking love that Sonic & Knuckles logo
Subjective now, buddy, and here's why:
Modern's spikes only look like Classic from the side, and otherwise look like dick,
Modern's nose has a goofy curvature which makes it unfitting of the overall sporty character design (that looks like Banjo's nose, FFS),
The shadows under the eyes are FAR too heavy and noticeable,
And Sonic's legs are already too long (the increased body size does help with the proportions of the head, quills, hands, and eyes, but sadly the hands are enlarged, so that's already screwed up).
Modern is shit.
I wonder if sega will acknowledge his brother and sister again.
This is what happens when you get famous, And then they try and hide your ugly relatives.
He's slowly going from a cute/cool hedgehog to a weird blue cat furry person
fuck this, why am I getting excited for Sonic again
I know I'm just gonna be disappointed
Was Generations a fluke? I was thinking they had a competent dev team again, but then Lost World and Boom happened. Was it just one of those "infinite monkeys with typewriters" scenarios?
As much as I adored Generations, I'm not hopeful for what a sequel would turn out like
The white part of Sonic's face is white fur. Only the "pupil" part are his eyes.
>SEGA will keep making bargain bin tier budget shit sonic games till the Sol dies out
>every five years makes a best of sonic collection with actual budget in it and great level design and gameplay to keep people still into sonic
>YFC this becomes the new Sonic Cycle
Generations was literally slapped together at the last minute when an intern pointed out that the 20th anniversary is coming up. The short dev team means less opportunities for Iizuka and Pontac/Graff's incompetence to be noticeable.
Lost World was competently made on the dev team's fault, but too much executive meddling and throwing gimmicks at the wall hurt it.
Boom was made by a third-party team who had to switch platforms and engines because Sega signed the Nintendo exclusivity agreement halfway through Boom's dev period.
>Do you spend too much time on your PC? Are you good at the Internets? Do you have an eye for the Photoshops and skills with MS paint? Would you like to help us take over the world?
>If you answered Yes to all of the above, and you live in or near Los Angeles, you might be who we’re looking for. We (SEGA of America) are seeking an organized, well-spoken, mostly-normal fan to join our Social Media Team as part of our new initiative to meme up the internet and make Sonic The Hedgehog more fun than it’s ever been. Throughout this process, the Intern would learn and assist with all social media channels, as well as help create original content that we’ll post on a day-to-day basis.
>Assists in the day-to-day running of the Social Media Channels, working directly with the Community Manager. Strong knowledge of Sonic fanbase and lore is a must.
>Works with the Community Manager in leading efforts to oversee, maintain, and grow corporate and brand profiles on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
>Interact closely with the PR and Marketing Team to coordinate and promote content via Social channels.
>Build and implement content calendars based on marketing messaging and goals, and source the assets needed to fulfill them. Oversee creation of content native to social media platforms.
>Build a relationship of trust between the company and the community on every channel, evaluating audience sentiment, responding to community messages, etc.
>Investigate new social and community channels and evaluate their value to the marketing goals.
>Measure and communicate with the team on the impact of social media on the overall marketing efforts.
>Generate engaging content strategy for Sonic, with focus on unique content per social media platform.
>Continuously offer fresh ideas to the team about creative ways to engage with the community beyond the product, capitalizing on current events, trends, holidays, etc.
>tfw I unironically enjoy the Sonic vocal songs
They are great cheesy rock songs, fuck.
Yes, it was a fluke in the sense that it was one of the very few times Sonic Team continued to build off a working gameplay style AND actually improve it. That hasn't happened since the classics.
and I suppose everything is going swimmingly for you m8, as you go through life not enjoying anything because "well what if /v/ accuses me of being autisitc?"
That was fucking gold
>shows up out of fucking nowhere
>"SSSONIC, your friends makes you WEAK!"
>challenges them despite being outnumbered
>gets his ass handed to him
>"HOW COULD I LOSE..!"
I sure fucking hope this happens. We get classic sonic era gameplay and dank
trapmusic variations for Knuckles' gameplay.
Why does Unleashed still look and feel bigger? Was the B+ team working on Gens?
Then shouldn't there have been more levels in Gens? There's barely a hub world there and even if you threw day Sonic in a night time stage in Unleashed it still would've been fairly long.
I guess the day levels of Unleashed and the entirety of Colors was a fluke as well. They are all the same fun. Sega had something that worked really well and instead of expanding upon it they went with something way worse and way slower.
They some how managed to make Shadow Boom into the exact stereotype a lot of people make him out to be.
Fortunately the cartoon version was more like the original Shadow. Fuck, he was the only one that looked like he was straight out of the original video games.
I would like to see a Sonic title where just like Black Knight Sonic uses a sword again.
But this time paying homage to Skies of Arcadia while speeding through Skies of Arcadia locale while combating Monsters from said game.
Imagine Sonic and his friends going up against the Gigas.
>They some how managed to make Shadow Boom into the exact stereotype a lot of people make him out to be.
He was supposed to be mind-controlled like in the 3DS version. Cut lines in the Wii U version indicate that.
I genuinely like the GOOD ones. When Crush 40 took a back seat, and let others make music.
The themes to Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 are alright. But that may be my nostalgia speaking.
Is the reason why they're calling Classic Sonic, "Pixel Sonic" now because Generations 2 has something to with Robotnik turning everything into "pixels"?
Those are samples. it's like you only learned about house music and hip-hop through sega games. Sampled sound bites being repeated aren't the same as whole vocal tracks.
Also, I wasn't saying anything about JSR's soundtrack. I was specifically targeting Sonic Rush 1's soundtrack.
Classic Sonic is still called Classic Sonic. They are talking about how Classic has spaned multiple graphic styles from pixel (AKA 16-bit style) to comic book (Archie).
The article worded it badly and by the logic they use Classic Sonic is also called Comic Book Sonic now too. And we know that isn't the case.
I will not deny that Open Your Heart is the better song, and Sonic Adventure has the better opening. If only compared to Sonic Adventure 2. But I still can't shake the feeling that nostalgia is a heavy influence.
Anything involving Sonic Boom is garbage from the get go, I hope this shit is fake.
