Why don't more games have these realistic little details on them?
>meanwhile 15 years ago...
>make a thread praising WOW SO REALISTIC TECHNOLOGY
>B-B-B-B-B-BUT I DONT WANT REALISM
mgsv doesn't have TECHNOLOGY at all. It's very unfinished and unpolished.
>tranq sleeping guard on bed
>another guard walks by
>"HUH MAN DOWWWN!"
>guard notices fully equipped dog in battle suit
>tell d-dog to take out a guard indoors
>runs around in circles hitting tables and beds
Performance and fact consoles are always just barely running games on their specs as it is. This was especially evident in last-gen.
Real technology would be making how fluid comes out dependent on WHERE you make the hole, I agree.
Timesplitters 2 did this, if I remember right. Or maybe it was 3.
Either way, one of them had a level set in the 1940s and you could shoot barrels and they would drain for a different amount of time dependent on where you shot the barrel and if you shot above where you drained from nothing would happen.
Unfinished state aside it just goes to show how much MUH OPEN WORLD is a detriment when you compare it to older MGS games which had more TECHNOLOGY because of scope they worked with. MGS2 was corridors and shit, but goddamn the way guards stayed in contact and executed searches was mind blowing.

What the fuck?
We had more technology on shittier hardware ten years ago. Developers are just lazy now, "muh master race" has nothing to do with it.
So how does everyone feel about MGO's PC release/beta so far?
I have to admit, its rather.. meh.
Lots of cash shop bullshit, maybe there are more unlocks down the road, but its semi-disappointing.
Also infiltrators aren't sneaky at all, I can spot their blur like a million miles away and just shoot them dead.
Pistol/shield combo is OP, just waltzing around aiming at peoples heads and shooting it.
Pretty much been my experience with it so far.
Maybe I need to dump some serious time into it, but not sure if I can, its so.. I don't even know. Not fun?
MGS always had technology because Kojima was always pushing the limits of the hardware. They added shit just to see if it was possible.
The fact is that any given piece of technology was missed by 99% of players, but having it all there gave any given player several cool things to experience.
It's pretty dull yeah. I can't see myself playing it any more. I put about 8 hours into it and I just didn't have fun. It just doesn't really work all that well.
Plus it came out so late that any hype and excitement I had for it is long long gone.
Get the fuck out you little shit. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault was and still is an amazing game.
I was about to post this when I saw OP's webm good job and good taste mate.
