Aside from combat system the game has nothing. Exploration is boring, encounters are repetitive, all quests are fetch quests, classes are pretty unbalanced in terms of stat growth as to play a decent magick archer you need to play as a sorcerer for a good chunk of a game to get a non-shit magic growth.

It's also hilariously easy with a full party of pawns. To have a semblance of challenge i was forced to play with my main pawn only, and hard mode doesn't fix those problems but instead fucks up entire level progression.

A real damn shame. I can see a lot of good ideas but they lack polish and variety. Climbing your first cyclop of chimera is fun, doing this for 10th time is boring.

It takes a little while to get used to the game, but its well worth it to stick through it.

It's basically Dark Souls minus interesting fights and setting.

I just finished the game, it was good but other than the boss fights it was boring as fuck.
Traveling was annoying as fuck with all of the low level enemies blocking your every step and other than the post game and dlc the game was way too easy.
The side quest were tedious as fuck and the reward usually never worth it so the best you can do is to accept all of them then just hope that you will accomplish them while dong thee main quests.
I would say it worth a purchase it just for the bosssfights and it's a must play if you are a Berserk fan.

poor pc fats who played the beginning and thought it was fun are in for such a harsh surprise when they realize the entire game is back tracking over the same tiny strip of land fighting the same enemies in the same places using the same abilities to achieve the same mmo quests. this game is buyers remorse and wasted potential, more so then anything youve ever experienced. when i first started playing i nearly came during some of the fights due to how intense they seemed plus with the excellent sound track but you would be surprised how fast it gets old when you realize youve worn out everything the game has to offer after a few hours of playing. youl want to kill yourself when you know the wolves are going to spawn there because youve back tracked there 200 times but your pawns keep telling you wolves hunt in packs a minimum of 30 times per fight, and you know youl have to rinse and repeat a hundred times more

I agree that combat isn't the only kind of gameplay, but in its simplicity it's actually TW3's better part. At least the movement controls work pretty well in combat, while out of combat Geralt feels like a tank, making it very hard to really get immersed as the spell breaks every time you accidentally move past a corpse you were trying to loot.
The equipment and levelling systems are absolute shit, like you're playing a singleplayer MMO, and because they're so restrictive with the items you can equip it's literally impossible for any loot you find to be anything cool. In games like Morrowind you can actually find amazing magical heirlooms that enable you to do new things, which ends up being a memorable experience despite being unbalanced. In TW3 you never find anything but a sword with a few numbers a bit higher, and if they're too much higher you can't even equip it until hours later. It kills any fun that could be had while exploring.
I struggle to think of a single gameplay mechanic in TW3 that doesn't actively get in the way of my fun.

I really loved this game when it came out (original release and Dark Arisen update). Then Dragon Age: Inquisition came out and blew this game out of the water, doing nearly everything this game does but better. It's not content-rich as compared to DA:I and it's not immersive or difficuly enough compared to Dark Souls, so it's just kinda generic middle of the road.

The higher the item is upgraded as has a positive impact in it's chances of getting Dragon Forged. Rarification takes place in BBI and is similar to normal upgrades except I don't think you can skip stages like you can in the main game.

yes and no. Assassin has some hyper armor skills like perfect kill that's just great for being able to toe to toe with things way above your level. But it's archery skills leave something to be desired. They don't have cloud burst volly but they do have five-fold flurry and some other status related skills. All in all they're a weaker archer than strider or ranger. But a much more versatile melee fighter. A lot of players use a rustbow+five fold on assasins for the topor effect on larger monsters making them intensely easy for the party. They also excel at climbing since they have access to both hundred kisses and dire gouge depending on their main weapon. And that's where the fun of assassin really comes from is all the skills you can have equipped and change between by switching your main hand weapon.

Strider:
Mobile, quick climbing, dagger jump attack, bow for skirmishing as a sidearm, can move at regular speed with bow drawn
Assassin:
Parry moves to counterattack (both dagger and sword), sword for massive damage while climbing. Using sword makes you lose out on dodgeroll and double jump, using the massive damage skill while climbing allows you only 2 skills on the ground. Bow as a sidearm for skirmishing, can move at regular speed with bow drawn.
Ranger:
Massive damage from range with bow, insanely good aiming with M/KB, great range, relatively stationary with bow, slower movement speed with bow drawn
Dagger as a sidearm.

I really loved the night mechanics in this since it's something I never seen in a rpg.

It was organic because you decided to do that because it's the best way. It doesn't last long because you get stronger and a fast travel but that was legitimately cool.

I´ve been playing strider, fighter, and now mage in that order.

Works great. Whenever you switch vocations you keep your vocation rank on the vocation you switch from. Levels apply to your universal stats.
