>console beta test for months
>still a piece of shit on pc
I put off suicide for this trash?
I'm having a blast. There's no push to talk so if you have a mic you're forced to broadcast everything to the world and people hardly work together as a team but the game itself is solid. I hope they add more features like custom games and more gear though. Sniping is fun and Enforcer has the coolest perks.
It was fun when it first came out...now basically anything that was good has been nerfed so it's not playable for me anymore and they haven't added any new maps or modes so I dropped it hard.
I've been kind of enjoying the game but
>Enemy you're CQCing kills you during the animation
The netcode is garbage, and the infiltrator feels overpowered in how easy it is to fulton for them
>Barely any cosmetics
>You have to unlock the base cosmetic to be able to use whatever camo you want instead of just buying the one with the camo you want
>Shields are fucking useless
>Netcode is shit
>Open broadcasting mic, great I have to mute everyone if I'm on another voice program with my mates.
>there's actually people on /v/
>right this fucking moment
>who bought mgsv with their hard earned money
I won't be surprised walking up midnight with laughter.
>Delayed for half a year
>Released as a 'beta' despite that
>P2P hosting without host migration
>Can't disable your mic
>Have to manually disable each player's mic sound, no general mute button
>No custom music
>Have to grind for even basic colors
>Day1 MB Coin integration, despite the game being released in 'beta' and with half a year of delay between the console version, with no compensation whatsoever for the PC player
>Only 1/3rd of classes and modes focus on stealthy gameplay
>Small maps that heavily encourage and favour CoD-style run-and-gun gameplay instead of a tactical approach
>Buddy system further breaks the already small maps by players teleporting in all over the place, even directly onto objectives
>Invulnerability immediately after spawning means that you're as good as dead when someone teleports in right next to you, which happens all the time
>No text chat integration
>QCQ feels clunky and is incredibly inconsistent concerning the distance it takes to grapple someone
>6 minute timer further encourages just shooting everyone in the face as quickly as possible
>no real bonus for players who completed 100% in GZ/TPP
>no TPP sale on Steam to increase the already small playerbase
>support for this game will likely drop within the next few months
>if you join a game with friends in your party, they may end up in opposing teams or even worse, you will occasionally join games which are then full and your friends can't even connect
I've only been playing it for a day and these issues weren't that annoying, with the exception of maybe the mic shit, having to go through and mute everyone breathing heavily into their mics and yammering away over a shitty connection.
But the gameplay is fun, yeah it's not really "metal gear" sneaking style but I still enjoy being a scout, finding good vantage points and watching people shit themselves as they try to figure out where they're being shot from. But yeah enforcer is literally CoD tier, most of the time I just sprint around the map spraying enemies with my giant mag machine gun.
It's what you make of it, I suppose.
>expect solid stealth with some action
>get average TPS with poorly implemented stealth
>expect mix of stealth gameplay and action with lots of teamwork
>get average action gameplay that plays worse than the main game
Why did I even bother reinstalling
>pick MGO back up on ps4 thanks to pc hype
>all these little quality of life adjustments and patches
>play for hours nightly with buddy for a week now
>pcfriends hate it
Why can't pcfriends enjoy video games?
Was MGO2 like this as well? I've played it for a few hours yesterday and it just seems like CoD or something, run-and-gun. There's no teamwork or anything. People are also shit at the game, not to mention there's even fucking auto-aim enabled for KB+M.
MGO2 was a bit slower than this. But 2 also came out before CoD really became the be all multiplayer that infested every other online game.
Also MGO2 was barebones on release which most people tend to gloss over. Here's hoping MGO3 gets the same updates.
Game is good, people are butthurt they are so shit at it and rage quit then cry on /v/
30+ year old oldfags crying because their twitch skills have gone in the shitter and they have gray hairs. Go check your prostate for cancer, grandpas.
Running around and shooting everyone after a while gets boring fast tbqh familia. I've played it and was always on top of the scoreboard because everyone is so shit in the game even with auto-aim. I wanted something different, if I wanted fast paced action, I'd play CoD or BF or any other FPS.
>I've played it and was always on top of the scoreboard because everyone is so shit in the game even with auto-aim
auto aim is only for controller
its still shit trying to aim with thumbsticks, here's your explanation why everyone is shit
>I put off suicide for this trash?
If I were to ever get a tattoo, I think it would be this.
>auto aim is only for controller
Nope. I've played MGS V for the 1st time yesterday with KB+M and auto-aim was enabled. Dunno if that was the case in singleplayer as well as I played it with a controller.
>he held off on suicide for MGO
I really don't know what you expected.
>tfw enemies spawn miles away and in good position to mark them for team mates every time they spawn thus earning mad amount points
This anon knows what's up.
Just aim at them and it'l spot; scouts get significantly faster spotting though. You can also interrogate enemies by grabbing them in CQC which marks every enemy on the map.
It's a shitload more dangerous though since every fucking time you grab someone chances are they're going to break out of your arms and then phase behind you to slit your throat.
>get bored of MGSV after 100% it
>haven't played since the start of October
>get on today to see if I can finally play MGO
Wow what a great choice to have all your shit in the wide open for everyone to take even when you're offline. At least I made some of it back with all the hundreds of Rewards I did nothing to achieve. also
>no Accept All option
>you have no choice to accept all those shitty soldiers
>if you've been culling your MB you have to make sure it doesn't fire high ranking staff when you accept them
also are the servers kind of shit? I can't get connected to a game.
Speaking strictly gameplay, I think the game is really good. I wish respawns were a little longer so people would feel less need to sprint everywhere in the capture the zone mode. The small versions of the maps also make things too hectic.
But ive noticed higher level people sprinting around less as I put more hours into the game. It isnt all that faced paced if even a couple people are sneaking around. The non lethal options of pretty fun and can be good in bounty hunter. Does fultoning people in capture the zone mode do anything?
In non laggy games its good as long as you ignore all the terrible shit like voice chat, text chat, cant switch teams, cant change weapons or fuck all.
CC is basically capture the flag. There's 3 points on the map. Two rounds, one attack and one defend. It's fast paced action laying down traps in areas to prevent the opponents taking control of a comm point. During this a bar will either fill up to 100% or deplete to 0% depending on you attacking or defending.
Still a better game than Battlefront
has anything like this happened to any of you PC guys yet? fun
mine too. I actually stopped playing this game like a month ago.
I tasted the phantom grab, the delay shoot of dead, it practically made me quite not enjoy it so much, it's fun but I fear it's just a few days fun with those kind of game mode, they should made more interesting mode or fix the weird sync
Yeah I remember being able to pretty much copy all of the PMC outfits from the main game in MGO2 right off the bat, just about.
It had more customization in terms of gear slots, too, if I recall correctly. I distinctly remember being able to change balaclava AND headgear, as well as gloves since they made Naked Snake and The Boss gloves a thing
I've enjoyed it so far. I just wish for the love of god they add push-to-talk. I don't want a lobby of cyka blyats or whatever to hear me talking to people on TS.
>kojima fangirls are actually defending this piece of shit
>has anything like this happened to any of you PC guys yet?
Its happened to me in 2-3 games so far. Generally when I join those lobbies i can tell right off the bat that its laggy as fuck. So now I just leave when that happens and find a custom game if the random matching keeps putting me in the same or laggy ones, but generally finding another random game works. Also Ive been lucky cause lots of times it makes me the host in random games.
Fucking Keuvre shut the fuck up it's annoying when you keep spamming Cover Me
In the very short time I've played, yeah, that happens constantly. CQC in this game is ridiculously awful, but I guess that's to be expected when everything's P2P.
Which in itself is a baffflingly stupid decision.
>just started the game and play sniper class
>look through my sope
>all those invisible faggots sneaking around
During daytime its annoying as fuck but in nighttime areas its funny how you can see them clear as day.
You DO save teammates being fultoned, right, anon?
>See a balloon
>Try to switch to primary
>Forgot I don't have a primary because cloak and dagger
>Try to switch to secondary
>For some reason it equips the box
>Try and switch again
>Finally get it
>Balloon flies away before I can shoot
Get choked and fultoned next
Controls for this game aren't that good. Wish I could set primary and secondary to scroll up and down respectively.
>there are people 5m away from you that just let you fly off into the air
>everyone constantly running in bounty hunter
>meanwhile I go prone enforcer
>buddy is crouching behind me marking people
>rack up a +17 bounty
>the other team barely gets kills
You guys are playing it wrong
>reach 5 million GMP
>try to accept more rewards
>5 million is the max GMP you can have
>even after spending shitloads on random research I didn't need to make room for more, I still have loads of unclaimed GMP rewards
It's sort of cool because I hardly play anymore but then again there's literally no incentive to replay any of the grindy missions now. Which I guess is good for me but not for the game itself.
I think so. You can run around missing people all day, but if you get even one high count bounty you're at the top of the scoreboard with 5 billion points and bring the team back from losing. And if you get fultoned it doesn't matter much because you have no bounty.
Of course, as a scout every time I see a balloon I always make sure to pop that shit and any enemies around it admiring their handiwork.
I mean, I'm not the kind of guy who blames his team for everything, but come on, you were right there and you just ran straight past me.
Every time. The rush of saving a teammate helps my intense self-loathing.
Sometimes I intentionally let buddies walk into fulton cannons just so I can save them. I'm garbage.
I have never in my life been as legitimately angry with someone as the people who do this to me.
I'm just fucking glad I don't have a microphone.
Check this bullshit out.
Would've been a fucking amazing comeback.
yeah that happened to me so many times. I'm glad they fixed that bullshit. so frustrating.
>tfw trying to save a buddy with the LMG from far away
>they fly off with a scream
I... I didn't have the right weapon. I'm so sorry.
>faggot "teammate" runs up and shoots them dead
Thanks, we totally didn't need those tickets to win. I'm sure that 100 points you just got was much more worth it.
>The only good thing was the gear customization
>the game itself is solid
you got no business tickling me like that mista
Hol up, what?
So you can just go up to a lousy, unsuspecting Scout and send him to space?
Oh, that's probably Fulton Punch. I thought Infils could just bag anyone who's prone, now.
F.Punch, acquired by having Fulton-3, is a running punch that has a weird hitbox but instantly bags the person hit, regardless of consciousness. It's fun but takes three of your precious skill slots.
PS3 player here. Enforcer was my main.
Has anyone here yet reached the 30's with an Enforcer? Has anyone unlocked the Shield Charge perk? I can't wait until someone does and everyone starts complaining about it.
>When /v/ tells you hip-firing has more accuracy than ADS
>When they were weirdly correct
>Everyone on the other team went infiltrator
>Sneak behind enemy lines
>CQC, interrogate, fulton an infiltrator.
>Faggot must've cried for help because I see his buddies come on over
>Switch to UNAAM
>Gun down every single one of those cunts with a single magazine
>Everyone cries and I get kicked next session
Why are infiltrators such faggots?
Yeah, just not feeling any progression.
Like for instance on of the head pieces of a balaclava with a heatset, face mask, eye pieces..
When really it should be all separate and the most expensive one is all of them combined or something if you follow me.
Needs more.. everything.
