GET HYPE MOTHERFUCKERS
Alright, I'd say that's a fair question all things aside, so I'll try to answer it best I can.
>Extremely open and engaging combat system
>Beautiful visual effects
>Rich and genuinely scary open world
>creature design is super classical in a way we haven't seen in a game in a long time
>Great opportunities for player RPing
>Properly difficult and monster end and post-game content
>Actually a fucking great PC port as far as ports go
>Textures look like a puckered asshole
>No properly engaging story to speak of (hence the player RPing)
>A lot of characters are either characterless or annoying
>A lot of anime bullshit in cutscenes (and I mean a LOT)
Just remember, womenfolk excite Ogres Arisen!
>Live in Europe
>Game releases at 8 PM my time
>Only get a few hours to play before I go to bed
I don't understand this waiting bullshit. It's creeping up on 4 years old if you count back to the original vanilla release, not some hot new shit nobody has ever played. They really should have just fucking released it at midnight.
Probably the most important thing to mention to people considering this game is it takes quite some time before you CAN love it. My first beholder fight, atleast 20 hours in, was the defining FUCK YES moment. Great game, takes some effort to get through the start.
Still had it's moments before then, of course, but it's a fair warning to give I think.
>>Textures look like a puckered asshole
They look really average for last-gen and they were upgraded. They're decent for an open world game.
Consoles have had it for four years.
"h-hyped guys?" when people already played it several times over and dealt with the sub 15 fps gameplay and discussed how the game could only be done justice on the PC.
I just got my sleeping schedule fixed, I don't want to sleep during the day anymore
Why couldn't they just release it at midnight
So, I'm waiting for that point where the game gets good.
I just got my first pawn who sounds like a retarded elf instead of a young priest boy, and goddamn the combat feels clunky in melee.
If could only ever get one mod out of this I would want an unarmed combat class.
Boxing, martial arts, wresting, I don't care what style, just as long that they didn't use a weapon
But that'll never happen so I can only dream for now.
I'm broke as fuck. Should I pirate and enjoy it until I cn afford it, or just wait to buy it? I'll be buying it either way, just wanted to know if the pawn-DRM mechanism is that restrictive.
>Been thinking for two weeks about what I want my Arisen/Pawn to look like and what classes to be
>Originally played MA with a dark elf Sorc pawn on PS3
>Tempted to do that again
>Thinking about Assassin or Warrior
>Afraid I'll find non-magic classes boring
>Still don't know what I want either of my characters to look like
>Dreading the moment I get to
naming my characters
This is more stressful than it should be.
Go magic archer or mystic knight if you still want to be able to use magic. You can carry around both a staff and a weapon to switch between melee and wizardry, plus the melee attacks utilize magic as well. It's just a shame you can't switch weapons on the fly, that would be great. Triple jumping with a magic archer and switching to a staff in the air to hover
The leveling system is also bullshit. But at the same time, the game's too easy, so if you play whatever class you want, you'll likely end up with a better difficulty curve. I guess it depends on how much you can resist the urge to minmax.
Their stuff is sent to storage when they die or you release them. Don't know about mystic knight, I only started playing it because it's the only class with maces, the magic stuff is more of a side thing for me
honestly, apart from the combat and character creation, is there anything in this game thats actually above average? the world is big, but mostly empty, the story is trash and theres a bunch of little annoyances.
I already played it on the PS3, dont really see the point of rebuying on PC.
there's 0 benefit to it, there's no money to save, there's no stock that can run out.
you're literally gambling with your money at this point, especially because the game is SHIT at the start, so you cant even rely on the refund option.
If I'm gonna be a mage/sorc/magic-archer 90% of the time and my pawn is going to be a strider/ranger 90% of the time...
what should the pawn's inclinations be so that people actually use her?
You can throw materials in your stash everytime, you never need to have them on you to enhance gear and shit.
Curatives and everything you need for trips needs to be sorted tho, cause some of that stuff is heavy as fuck, you'll get the hang of it.
Just make sure you got a lantern a pickaxe at least one oil flask and a ferrystone + portcrystal if you got one on your adventures. Leave the rest clean for free space.
Don't be stupid, a lot of games come with preorder bonuses nowadays. If I had listened to you dumbfucks, I wouldn't have gotten like $10 worth of sweet bikinis just for preordering dead or alive.
At the beginning there's a tutorial, then you'll spend an hour in the character creator. After that there's an intro sequence and a bunch of cutscenes. After that, unless you head out straight away you'll run around the village for a bit and that's the two hours already spent. Even if you do advance the story as fast as possible, it's still a slow start and you'll fuck around in an encampment which is still pretty much an extended tutorial. I would recommend pirating it if you want to see where it goes without worrying about getting your money back
The leveling system makes no sense. If you stay the class you want to play, you're fucked for stat growth, usually.
Also, the fact that EXP is divided into your overall level and vocations gets confusing. Apparently killing enemies that give you around 100XP or less gives you the most vocation points, whatever they're called.
Then you get to the annoyance that is the pawn inclinations, and the stupid potion fuckery you have to do in order to get the inclinations you want. That shit is asinine. Who designed the systems in this game?
Something that makes them actually fight enemies. Scather/challenger/mitigator probably. Guardian just makes them stick to you and be useless, then there's an inclination that makes them collect stuff or scout the area which are also pretty unnecessary
The consoles had a demo that absolutely perfectly showcased what the game was all about. PC doesn't have this and the slow start will almost for sure drive a lot of refunds.
What a shame.
It's just kinda nonexistent throughout the playthrough, then at the end it picks up and starts throwing weird shit at you. So it's not a very good narrative, though the concepts it presents are interesting
I want to play as a strong character, Is warrior a bad choice?
It's gimped for abilities since it only gets three instead of six. It's also immobile compared to the others. But if you really want to hit guys with a big weapon then I guess
slow and suffering. You need to compensate for no ranged attacks with pawns too. I had some fun playing warrior but it was painful until you get the good shit. If you can suffer through screaming at your pawns to finally fucking shoot at the flying shit you try to hit mid-air with your slow as attacks then go ahead.
I'm really worried about there not being enough actual lore-friendly pawns in this game.
Everywhere I go I just read people talking about their lolis.
I want companions that make sense to the universe, not fap-bait.
Daily reminder stat growth is irrelevant unless you do something utterly conflicted like put 90 levels into a magic class then switch to a physical one.
>10 in all classes; 3050, 2440, 416, 348, 327, 308
>10Fighter/80Ass; 2850, 3030, 636, 258, 307, 168
>10Mage/80Sour; 2089, 2020, 258, 556, 177, 547
Whoever has the highest affinity will appear in a cutscene and after that they'll mope around in your house that you never visit. It doesn't really have an impact on anything. Affinity can be affected by giving gifts or doing quests for them, and it can be basically anyone
>unless you do something utterly conflicted like put 90 levels into a magic class then switch to a physical one
Even then that might actually be more fun since the difficulty really drops off after a point
The most casual advice. Play on hard like a real man.
Not unless they die. Or wait actually I think there might have been one or two sidequests where you don't have the pawns with you but they're not very combat oriented. Solo can be fun though
HOL UP HOL UP DID U JUS
WARP INTO DIS NIGGAS EYE
DIS NIGGA DONE CROSSED INTO THE SHADOW REALM
Hard mode isn't very good for first time I think. Those big enemies for instance, for a long time they'll oneshot you with anything, which just made me want to not climb them or do any of the cool stuff. It felt a bit refreshing being more careful after playing normal for the longest time, but I don't think it's a good first impression. The extra gold is nice though
Not at the start it isn't.
>No stupid bonus exp or gold.
In exchange for everything killing you in 1-2 hits for many many hours until you're insane overleveled in which case if you want the game to stay hard, keep using shit gear.
I think it's okay, it feels really good to get good on hard mode but I do understand the caveats to the mode.
Nothing manly about that or a SP RPG for that matter. For me having to waddle on tiny mobs for an hour is tedious and breaks immersion completely. And sadly that's how the game is at the very start. And there is nothing manly or hard about that, it's just retarded.
However you're probably not in post-game or BBI yet so there's still stuff to come. BBI is probably my favorite area in the game and level 40 is probably a good starting level for it
Anon, hard mode doesn't really fix anything. It makes you more fragile at the beginning, but then you quickly become as strong as you would be in normal mode and there's not really any difference anymore apart from leveling twice as fast
Well then you're not too OP yet
there is dodging, there are a ton of classes and abilities, you can climb large monsters and the terrain, and everything you do looks cool as fuck. pawns also enhance the gameplay a lot making the game the ultimate fantasy rpg.
the monsters and the bandits are also the best in vidya and that's inarguable.
I like how you think there's only 2 attacks though, cute.
I'm the one of the last people you little shit can call casual, son. In fact I was an actual pro gamer back in the days when that still meant something.
That aside my reasoning is sound albeit subjective.
>brown DFC loli with white hair
>white oppai loli with blond hair
Something like my DS2 character, I guess.
People keep saying this but I was level 140 on hard mode and I still get my shit kicked in from time to time.
Oh I am, or better said I dont even have to do anything because my pawn is an unbeatable death machine in the normal game. BBL is not meant for that lvl and it shows so pretty obviously since you don't do any dmg to them anymore at some point. So in short I'm too op for the normal game and too low lvl for BBL.
No idea what to do now.
There is a ring that increases unarmed damage but even that does jack shit.
Can you port your saves from the pirated version to the steam version?
I've played for like 15 hours already
>tfw I'll be working
Though I've been playing it all week.
>>A lot of anime bullshit in cutscenes (and I mean a LOT)
>Game made by Japanese devs working for a Japanese company with Japanese players in mind first, then rest of the world later
>Somehow, this anon thinks that anime influences is a strange element in the game
The port is horrible.
Optimization issues and the controls are wonky.
There's also issues with enemies spawning out of nowhere and pawn AI turns on and off randomly.
It's still pretty buggy.
I'd hold off until they patch it, that is if they actually release patches.
Swap between them, the game rewards leveling multiple classes anyways because they have different stat gains, so just play one for a while and switch when you get bored. Either one will be fun enough that you stick to it, or you'll double your fun because you won't get bored playing the same old class.
Starting on hard is the casual advice.
You'll get 1-shot by everything at first not long after you'll be levelling so fast and getting so much money that the game is a huge joke. It's best to do hard mode on NG+
That's a normal place to have it?
This game is like schlock 80's fantasy films in video game form.
You're just regurgitating commonly known wisdom at this point. Yes, preordering is often a bad idea. In this case, what does it matter? We know exactly what we're getting, right down to the quality of the port.
I see you've started a few sentences beyond the first, with words like "also" and "then" but I'm not going to read past your stupid first sentence and let you get away with saying that. Fucked for fucking stat growth? Play a fucking spreadsheet simulator if numbers are that important to you. Ultimately if arriving at higher numbers in the very end state of the game is more important to you than doing what you want to be doing while you get there, how do you ever have fun?
>preemptively adjust sleep schedule so that I'm going to bed right now
>Will wake up just as it unlocks
Goodnight guys. Have a good day at work wagecucks.
Is this game generic?
I'm the type to put a game down after 2 hours if it doesn't grab my interest quickly
Could this game hold my adhd self?
>games I've played thru fully recently
>hotline miami 1/2
I've already been playing it for a week
Poorfag with 6300 and R9 270 and it can't even keep a consistent 60fps+ no matter what graphics settings I use, but it only drops really bad when there are a lot of people around (Gran Soren) and when looking at specific directions in an area (out towards the sea in starting village, towards the north outside Gran Soren)
Doubt the official version that I'll play later today will run any better.
Is the creator good enough to make this perfection
Reviews for the PC release are out, they're shit. Game has aged like vinegar, graphics are atrocious, animations clunky. The scenario/dialogues and chara design is so bad it's on par with FF XIV. Everything in this game is fucking childish and boring.
Only good thing is m-muh spells, and m-muh 60fps on a 5 year old ps3 game.
My fucking sides.
>keybinds for consumables confirmed
>easier aiming for ranged with K&M
bow classes are overpowered
NO BECAUSE THEY PROMISED 15TH AND I STILL HAVE TO WAIT 8 HOURS FOR IT
hay gays i heard this was liek DARK SOULS
>leave PC running over night so it can automatically unlock the game and I'm ready to play when I wake up
>get on PC
>nothing happened in Steam
>still in 'pre-load'
>check out store page
>unlocks in 8 hours
ehhh? is this the most retarded release ever or what?
>not releasing the game when your local timezone hits 12 am
>instead releasing it when it's like 9 am in the timezone FURTHEST BACK IN THE TIMEZONE MAP
Then how come you want to play a game with a pretty huge squall based mechanic?
Granted I generally agree with you. Most of the time I prefer playing a lone wolf. But I never found it to be annoying in DD. Most of the times the pawns are just kind there and tagging along. The only times they are an inconvenience is when they die.
you faggots are excited for a game released 4 years ago on console? pathetic fucking cunts.
and it's not even the online multiplayer MMO, it's literally the shit version you play alone on a friday night. Virgin cunts.
And what are you gonna do about it stud?
Why are you so mad. I already put in 200+ hours on PS3. I'm just excited to play at a decent framerate at a higher resolution. Why do people like you bring up the game's age like it means anything. I played DMC3 yesterday and it's still great. Same director too. Stop being so mean.
>millions of dollars in salaries and thousands of manhours of talented people are getting wasted on the development of a shitty MMO instead of the actual sequel
What is Dragon's Dogma about?
What does it play like or comparable to?
Are dragons the most powerful creature in-game?
How many games are there in the series and if I played, which game should I start with?
Should I get it? I really need a game to play that's available on Steam so I can play at work.
desu I didn't know this was a squad game up until 10 days ago, and I was hyping it since the announcement because I like rpgs.
that actually change things, I'll try it. I thought it was like Dragon Age or Pillars of Eternity
what makes assassin a solo character, stealth?
fucking murricans man, ruining everything
I don't want spoilers m9. And I'd much rather get my info here than out of the retarded mind of some mouthbreathing Sonichu youtuber. Come on.
fist builds are my fetish
too bad dark arisen only gets the mediocre ring, but I hear you can get two of them and stack them so they become fairly strong
>what makes assassin a solo character, stealth?
He has a skill that gives you plus 20% in damage and defense and shit if you play solo.
Used to be one of the most overpowered things in the game since it raised stuff to 70%. But they nerfed it a lot in Dark Arisen.
Guess I'm downloading Maken-Ki then.
Assassin deals the highest DPS and can use the most types of weaponry. Just play with pawns though as
said, they're just AI companions and they're definitely a cool part of the game with the way they learn shit from you and change behaviour based on your playstyle
>mfw game will unlock in a more than 7 hours
>mfw I will create my strider arisen
>mfw I will create my mage support pawn
>mfw I will already have the sliders for each ready thanks to the pirate version, so no time loss at character creation screen
>mfw I will play all weekend, only interrupted by going to the bathroom and fridge
nigga I haven't been this giddy and excited for a video game since I was a wee lad and
Gothic 2was released
Of all boards I browse, it is here that I've encountered the most people who unironically believe in white guilt and think that videogames objectify women or whatever. Actually, ONLY here.
Not sure what that means but surely there are underage among us.
Truth be told I never used to browse /v/eddit until this last steam sale so I could get ideas for decent games to grab. Didn't get any.
>unironically believe in white guilt and think that videogames objectify women or whatever.
Wait, are you saying those fags aren't just metatrolling or whatever?
Because I just passed that off as people shitposting/trolling and baiting hardcore.
it's only one game.
You start in a small beach and get your heart stolen by a dragon sent by "god" in order to create someone stronger than him to kill and replace him, the dragon is just part of the process, you eventually kill yourself and start over.
The bitter black isle is an evil island that exists in a weird rift of universes where arisen from other worlds come and die or eventually become the monsters you're fighting, the final boss is an arisen who has gone crazy and the woman who asked you for help was his pawn,
The duke never fought the dragon and instead took a bribe from the dragon in order to gain wealth and fame.
The witch in the forest is actually a pawn who's arisen died, but eventually becomes human.
Here's the original INTO FREE song mod for the main menu
go to \Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen\nativePC\sound\stream\bgm\wave2
replace the Tittle_DDN.sngw
if you're going to backup the original file, back it up in some other folder.
Serious question, since I see so many threads and posts regarding the official rlease date.
Since when is /v/ so keen on buying legit game copies? Normally we are majorily in favor of piracy and free games. What happened? It's like I don't know you anymore, /v/. You pirate the game and then still you buy it? I don't fucking getit
RPG shit, killing monsters, questing and looting
I've heard it's similar to MonHun, though I've never played MonHun so I can't be sure
Not far enough in to say
This is the only one, there's Jap MMO but it's not available outside of Nippon
Yeah it's pretty awesome so far
>youre going to be shit on by the more mobile enemies though
Not when taking advantage of your regular combos, exodus slash, and jumping strikes. Warriors jump attack comes out ridiculously fast and does good damage, useful for harpies.
I pirated it on the triple, had super fucking fun despite the stuttering FPS and generic pawns. I couldn't pre-order my legit copy hard enough when I heard of the PC release
>the concept art has a dude with a spear
>the game doesn't actually have spears
Fuck no, I would say its more like:
Play the intro
>wow this is great
Play with created character for the first 20m
>This is fucking shit
First boss encounter
>WOW WHAT THE FUCK
Everything past Gran Soren (around 2 hours of gameplay depending on path taken and exploration)
>This is great
Learning how vocations work and getting a good team (X>10 hours)
This was my experience
>What is Dragon's Dogma about?
There's a dragon who is extremely powerful and also tied to some very spoilery universe stuff, suffice to say it is your job as the PC to go do some very important things about that.
>What does it play like or comparable to?
It's a very slowed down simplified character action formula for the most part, but with plenty of room to do some really cool shit, when I say slow I don't mean dumbed down, just not bayonetta ultimate climax action. I would compare the "feel" of the game to a mix of witcher and shadow of the colossus because everything has the same feeling of floppy physics to it, as well as a very deliberate combat style. In terms of story and scale I would say it's like oblivion if instead of a million sidequests around every corner you have only the main quest, but the world still feels well realized.
There's also the pawn mechanic that I don't have any real comparisons to make.
>Are dragons the most powerful creature in-game?
Yes and no depending. They're definitely later game monsters and probably the strongest. But honestly every big enemy or significant encounter is going to feel powerful at the right level. Also the last boss is a dragon.
>How many games are there in the series
Just this one unless you live in the nihon.
>Should I get it
Yes, it' an excellent game
Maybe not, it's good to play in fairly long stretches, not so much during short breaks. I'ts immersive, you should play it when you can immerse.
Maybe spears went out of favor after that picture took place seeing as it must have been like millennia ago or something.
>ancient evil awakens
>it's neither ancient nor evil
Yea, but then you get really strong and destroy everything
And then it turns back around and you get one shot if you play like an idiot Then you get even MORE op Then you restart in hard mode and go to BBI and spend even more time in there than the main game and continue to get slowly more powerful only to face more bullshit enemies.
Is it feasible to play the game without any companions? I hate companions in 3d games, it makes whole game seem like an escort quest lite.
Age of Decadence, Pillars of Eternity
I actually think it's either hardcore trolling, or one autist who goes into every fucking censorship thread and shitposts it up.
It's either one dude, or multiple people, because I always see them go '""""censorship""""' or whatever other buzzword they want people to think isn't "real" or whatever (seriously you fags, one set of quotation marks is enough), and it just devolves into shitposting after that.
The problem is that I know people who do that unironically, and they're pretty hardcore SJWs, so it could actually just be random faggots from tumblr shitting the place up
The thing I found the best is how scary Grigori actually is.
Everyone seems to know that the Knights efforts are in vain, every time you see him it's from low angles or next to something so he seems giant.
Every Cutscene makes you believe he is stronger, more intelligent than you and basically unbeatable especially after you found out that all the previous Arisen you met either failed or took the bargain.
>release date draws near
>check friend list
>only 1 friend owns this game
SHIT, how do I get my free pawns now? add me on Steam bros, gonna make a big girl competent healer/support mage.
No need to ever talk, you autistsWe're just in it for the duty-free pawn renting, remember.
>Ancient evil awakens
>Honestly just wants to go back to sleep
Being Grigori is pure suffering.
what are the dragons dogman memes should i know /v/?
i want to be hip and cool when i play the game
So I preordered using a dutch bank service called iDeal.
Purchase failed, called my bank, told me the money was wired, so it's not "on hold". It's either with iDeal or with Steam.
Steam now asks me to 'repurchase the game'. I opened a ticket, it has been more than 24 hours and still no reply.
So basically, Steam took my money and won't reply to my ticket. That's what I get I suppose.
>tfw people will fall for grigori (on an emotional, non sexual level) once again
fucking grigori, why must you be so based?
Thanks m8s. But I saw a Dragon's Dogma for PS3 that's not this one. What the fuck is that?
>Dragon's Dogma, subtitled Dark Arisen, was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on April 23, 2013.
The fuck is this?
>See one of these motherfuckers for the first time
>Think to myself I got this
>Nigga tramples me underfoot and one shots me
These assholes are singlehandedly the reason to get the passive from fighters to escape grabs.
>grigori will never be your dad
Apparently people do give a shit about it NOW though, it's at the top of the Steam sales I think. You can tell there are a lot of autists from here though just by the way they post on the Steam Community page of the game.
>tfw almost everyone I know is like that and I've no friends left
>select all images of frogs
Pawns keep giving tips on how to deal with monsters, or comment on the surroundings, if you don't tell them to shut up.
So basically you hear the same line every few seconds when fighting a mob. Some think it's extremely annoying, others think it's part of the charm of the game, but they're basically memes.
>WOLVES HUNT IN PACKS ARISEN
>THEY ILL LIKE FIRE ARISEN
>THEIR KIND HATE ICE AND FIRE BOTH
If I'm gonna go for Mystic Knight, should I start with the melee class or mage?
Dragons Dogma is the base game.
Then later they released a expansion called Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.
But because of reasons(greed or incompetence) they said they were forced to release it as a full game and not just as an add on.
PC version comes with Dark Arisen.
Then there is a Asia only MMO called Dragons Dogma Online in beta or some shit.
I chose the yuri path
It's a standalone expansion pack, containing the base game.
There's no reason to get Dragon's Dogma instead of Dark Arisen. Dark Arisen has everything of DD, plus bonus content.
Top of steam sales is never a good indicator, if its a new game its going to get more sales than the rest of the library just because people are now buying it. All the top selling games are either huge hits like Fagout 4 and so on, pre-orders for games about to come out. And new releases.
Wait til steam numbers and then see.
Because he's not a main pawn?
Only your main pawn can level with you in your game.
Would be weird if you suddenly went to an inn and your main pawn were level 156 and you were still 12.
>hire a lil loli fighter pawn because why the fuck not she had the inclinations I wanted along with the skills
>This little level 30 cunt is beating the shit out of everything
>Ends up Just blocking chimeras to the ground
>Leaps at the fucking beholder in BBI to stab it to death
I mean it started off as a joke, that bitch was my mvp for so long it wasn't funny. Sent that dude a shitload of riftbux as a thank you.
They are AI, and teaching them can actually be fun. Just go with your main pawn only (the one you design and equip with gear, you can hire two more but don't that just yet). You can train him to do all kinds of stuff.
Age of Decadence really did spears justice. It's just too bad they weren't really that great outside of the like 3 fights where you had allies. If the game had a party system spears would have been top tier.
If they didn't add more than one save slot for the PC version I'm going to have the game taken off of steam.
They aren't immune when the posses things at least.
>all that running around in circles for years waiting for them to posses your pawns so you can kill it since the sorc pawn you hired does fuck all
>tfw one is my brother and he thinks I'm a Nazi
Decided to reveal my powerlevel a little bit and he was too stupid to understand.
>mention how one of my co-workers (this 60 year old woman) is pretty based
>tell him how she said something along the lines of
>"be careful of the guy in 116, he's black and I've never met him before, don't leave your laptop out or anything"
>he's like "wow racist much"
>basically explain to him this chart
>end of the conversation goes like
>"See? Even in poverty, white people commit less than half the crime of black people in poverty, and those statistics for whites include Hispanics."
>"NO. YOU'RE RACIST. STILL MORE WHITE PEOPLE COMMIT CRIME THAN BLACK. YOU'RE WRONG."
>"N-no, actually there are more white people committing crime ONLY because there are more white people than black. White make up 70% of the pop, and black make up 15% of the pop, yet black are responsible for over 50% of violent crimes, and an even greater percentage in poverty."
>"SO YOU JUST ADMITTED YOU'RE WRONG. YOU'RE JUST RACIST. MORE WHITE PEOPLE ARE COMMITTING CRIMES THAN BLACK."
>didn't understand simple percentages
>listens to rap
He was my last friend. I have no one to play games with anymore. Literally not one person. What an obscene retard. Someone kill me.
>slap it for 2 damage and it flies disperses when it gets hit so you have to wait around for another 5 minutes for it to possess someone
Ghosts, living armors(2nd form) and golems are fucking unforgivable. I await mods that let me just kill them as a red with no dicking around for 10 years.
Holy fuck what a shit game, fucking Shadow of the Colossus knew to add a fucking horse so you could travel around the map with that instead of running around everywhere.
>inb4 hurr durr portcrystals
A shitty compensation for a shitty open world.
Do you know the reason why there isn't something like a horse to ride around all the time? Because the only purpose the open world serves is to pad the game out.
80% of the game is spent running around, 15% is spent killing wolves and goblins and bandits, the other 5% is actually fighting the fun monsters like Griffons and Golems and shit.
Ok faggots, let's get it started.
/v/ group for sharing pawns
No faggots allowed.
No anime girl avatars allowed.
>Berserk armor sets have been stripped from the game
>still only one save slot
>Don't take the boat there.
>Or well, do, then go back again because that purple quest marker is annoying.
>I just took the boat in the starter village
you don't mean this one right?
>That one fucking talisman under their foot
>WEEB GAME GROUP WHO UP SMASH DAT LIKE
>No weebs allowed
It's pretty easy to not go to BBI. You can go the whole game without touching it.
But man, you'd be missing out on all sorts of good crazy shit.
Like fighting Death itself.
Classic question. Will i be able to play it on my old pc?
>R7 250 1gig
>4gigs of ram
>Xeon x5460 3.33ghz

A strong spell like Gicel or Bolide can damage a golem well enough, providing it hits the medallions.
Metal golems, however? You're fucked unless you're playing yellow or orange. Magick bows don't do shit to MG medallions.
I was hoping it would get better eventually. It did start to get interesting after a couple hours. Then it became spend 15-30 minutes to run here, do some shit and then teleport back to Gran Soren.
This is the game everyone is talking about ?
Laughable graphics. Looks like Oblivion.
>Inb4 graphics don't equate onto a good game.
Saurians and Ogres gave me the biggest troubles when I first started playing. Chimeras became whatever at some point and Cyclops are only a bother when you have a dickass Mage who keeps spamming High Levin and permastunning it making it impossible to get the dumb helmet off.
>Er geht auf eine Seite für Schwuchteln und tut so als wär er keine
If you're 100% new to the game, they might offer a bit of a challenge since they're quite strong if you just take em head-on.
A tip; once you cut off their tails, they'll turn into little bitches.
add friends and join the group everyone, who /hype/ here?
You will soon. they're fucking annoying if you're not a magic class. You just have to sit around and hope the AI decides to attack them, or wait for one of them to possess a party member (which can take for fucking ever)
Oh yeah you will. Unless you're grinding for money than you're pretty much going to get cleaned the fuck out every time you buy better gear. You'll always have enough for healing items but that's on purpose, but trust me 300,000 isn't going to last long buying equipment.
Not hardly. the best advantage money can give you is tons of healing and powerup items (which are trivial to buy anyways) and better gear. But the gear available is tied to progression so it's not like you're going to stroll into gran soren and buy endgame shit right off the bat.
300,000 isn't really that much. It will smooth out the early game but won't make the slightest difference in the long run.
> and Cyclops are only a bother when you have a dickass Mage who keeps spamming High Levin and permastunning it making it impossible to get the dumb helmet off.
So much this.
Playing as warrior or ranger, this is so fucking annoying. Yeah, it won't do anything when stunned, but the fight drags on forever because the goddamned helmet won't come off.
Hm. Game looks like if witcher and skyrim had bad sex and this was the result. Also pandered by console retards which is never a good omen. Methinks I'll skip this one until I get some legit reviews from non-mouthbreathers.
Ok, I made it public because otherwise you'd have to add me first and I don't want to get added by unironic weebs.
Join and pimp your heal sluts, amazon warriors or whatever.
Anime girl avatars and people with bad taste in vidya will be kicked.
>try Arc of Might
>First hit blows off 1/2 of his health
FUCK YEAH, lets do this again!
>second blow only takes off 1/10 or something
Why? Is the timing THAT precise (I let go the moment the bar turns red, sometimes I might be half a second late). Or do I just not hit it properly?
you need to add people to your friend list if you wanna use their pawn anways m80
I know, but if I left it as a private group, they'd have to add me in order to join, so instead of just kicked them all at once, I'd have to bother with them individually and fuck the /v/ Steam community.
I don't want to join your shit group anyway
