Taking a page from the xbro thread and trying to see if we can get some good playstation gaming conversation going.
>What are you playing
>What are you looking forward too?
I just finished uncharted 2 in the collection tonight, pretty good games the first two have been not bad for the price I got it. Think I'm gonna hop on some MGSV and work on FF7 plat next. I'm pretty excited for storm 4 and I might pickup gravity rush remaster too, how is that game? Also DAI is cheap too how about that?
See, I want Ace combat, Rez,
Jumping Flashs, all that shit.
I DON'T want it to be compromised in graphics and resolution, and the last thing I want is a bad VR experience with them purely because they're hampered by the hardware.
Honestly, nothing to play right now on PS4 or PC. I'm just REALLY looking forward to The Tomorrow Children. I hope I get into the beta.
Is it ACTUALLY good? The one for the 360 was okay, had fun fucling around, but got old fast. How is this one different?
I've been playing the demo again lately and yeah I'm pretty excited, its gonna be awesome exploring the world in the final product. Gameplay is pretty fun, also how the hell do you kill the behemoth?
I'm still playing this since it's release.
I'm hoping a sequel will be made, even though the gameplay will not be the same.
>still trying to finish Fallout 4
>working through my career on WWE2k16
>want to get back into BF4
Looking forward to
>Day of Sex
>Kind of want to get into Dark Souls III, but I've never really played nor been good at slashers/deep RPGs
The only game I own, Battlefront.
No other game has left me with the feeling like skill doesnt matter. And not in a good everythings fun and equal way, like in a everything is shit and half-assed. They excelled at one thing: graphics. Other than that its a failure.
> what are you playing?
bloodborne, im little sad right now though, people told me i fucked up my build, not sure if i should start over or what...
> what are you looking forward to?
literally nothing, i mean uncharted looks cool and all, but i prefer getting it when it's actually complete (goty edition)
I kind of let MGO slide once my buddy stopped playing.
I got my light level up to 290 to finally start King's Raid and stopped fucking playing for no real reason. I kind of want to get back in it though.
I want to be excited for this but I just can't bring myself to care. SE has been butt fucking Final Fantasy for years and I can't imagine it'll stop here. Especially after 8ish years of development.
Do you like EDM?
Do you like Big Bands theme from skullgirls?
If so it's great.
Basically. Finally got around to doing a lot of TTK stuff this week and its a little too grindy. Love poppin heads in crucible tho here and there. If you've got the right loadout, its not hard to do well. I might wait until it gets popular again if you've not tried pvp before tho.
>bloodborne, im little sad right now though, people told me i fucked up my build, not sure if i should start over or what...
level/stats? it's hard to fuck up your build to the extent that you can't even finish the game, so i wouldn't worry about that.
Just started playing The Witcher 3. It's really damn good. I'm glad I waited for the patches to roll out, though. The frame rate feels stable enough at a silky, buttery smooth 30 fps and the loading times are short as fuck now.
literally the only games i have for it so far are BB, MGSV and FF type-0 (which i can't really recommend).
from my personal hype list, in no particular order:
Nights of Azure
Odin Sphere Leifthrasir
Dark Souls 3
Gravity Rush 2
Horizon Zero Dawn
i'm sure there are more, but those are just off the top off my head.
Been playing a shitload of the Odin Sphere demo trying to work out some neat tech in combos and playing through Rogue Galaxy whenever I get tired of it. Having a blast. Gravity Rush Remaster can't come soon enough
man im an xbot, the framerates are alright but the loading times when I die and reload suck dick, is it the same for you?
still on my first playthrough, just defeated the shadows
> level 92
> vit 25
> end 25
> str 32
> skl 30
> blo 15
> arc 15
Why can't Sony have a single good multiplayer exclusive? Seriously one of the things I hate about my PS consoles is that I end up playing one game for like 12 hours and then putting it away because the multiplayer usually feels tacked on.
ah okay, i see what people mean.
you'd def want to focus on either str/skl until 50, BLT can be disregarded, ARC at 15 is fine. those vit and end levels are also really low for level 92.
could be worse, though.
Debating on if I want to start MGSV again. I got it during Finals week, then Rainbow 6 Siege came out and my mind is 100% geared towards that. I feel weird having it and Bloodborne just sit there when I know they're great games.
Also looking forward to Street Fighter. I just set the $65 aside for it the other day and I've been needing a fighter so bad.
Star Wars Battlefront I even bought the season pass last month Probably the only game I'll play right now until No Man's Sky comes out All I care about right now is wanting to play No Man's Sky
Christ, can't you go shit up another hobby with your shit eating encouragement of cancer?
Wii U and Xbone owner here. The PS4 has caught my intrest recently. Been fingering with the idea to pick one up.
Is now a good time? Any price drops or new models in the forseable future?
Nigga did you even read the thread?
>Is now a good time?
Realistically speaking? No. Most of the major exclusives are hitting mid 2016 and they'll probably have a price drop or some deals before then.
Unless you're like me and really really enjoy souls games.
Japanese game lineup for this year is strong as fuck, so if you're into that type of shit definitely look into getting one sometime this year. First Party output looks pretty good too
A slim model being announced at this year's E3 is possible, but it'd be unusually early.
Honestly if you have an Xbox AND a Wii U I'd suggest just waiting until you see a good deal.
Her first game will be remastered on Feb 9.
Not really, if theres no game you want to play right now i suggest waiting for something youa ctually care about.
Check out PS4 2016 releases to see if something interests you. I also don't recomend picking up PSN+ unless you also have a vita or a ps3, the PS4 games they give are usually ass.
As of 1.12, every time I die the loading times are about 15-20 seconds, no joke. Fast traveling is even quicker. I'm not sure if they'll get longer depending on the map, though.
Currently the most anticipated game for me.
This, Persona 5 and KH III are the only games I am trully hyped for. After DMC5 is released, I think I will be free of vidya as a hobby and won't be buying any next gen consoles afterwards.
Currently having a huge backlog I can't have time to complete because of work and Witcher 3: FFX/X-2 HD, Diablo III, 100%'ing Bloodborne, Arkham Knight and DMC4 SE
If it's anything like any other /v/ related group it's full of the worst type of /v/irgins.
Anways OP I'm just sitting here playing MGO on PC and soon DD:DA.
I'll play my PS4 early March when my copy of Xtreme 3 arrives.
It's a month away and the wait is painful.
It's an acquired taste, I like grindy games and once you get used to everything it has to offer it's a lot of fun, it's more satisfying as a shooter to work for a specific gun that suits your playstyle instead of unlocking it in CoD with Mountain Dew codes
I just can't bring myself to like SF games. I can't stand that the hitboxes do not correspond with your attack and their whiffing in combos even when you clearly are touching the opponent (inb4 balance). Also, bellow-10-frame-links is the most retarded thing ever. A shame, too, because I really like some of the characters visual and gameplay designs.
Hella excited for Revelator and Tekken 7 tho
Bungie still cares about what they did for gaming with Halo, but Halo is in it's death throes in my eyes, Halo was never known for its graphics and they sacrificed a lot to bring it to 60 FPS and didn't capitalize on their Hunt the Truth campaign at all, Locke and Chief fight like once and Chief floors him easily.
practice and repetition. after killing your 200th mob you'll learn your movesets.
not saying that's a bad thing, i feel pretty good when i can hammer sick comboes down and actually learn to play my character properly.
No. Sean and Rebecca try to do something and fail. Plus, the animations on the modern day cutscenes somehow look worse than the in-engine past cutscenes.
Game takes place in Industrial Revo London.
>sphere grid system
what the FUCK MAN
It was perfect in 4 and you fucked it up again in 5 NOW THIS
I dunno. I'm just too used to action games and try to get the most style out of them. Thanks DMC, Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden for that.
>Bought it on Black Friday with the PS4
>Played it daily since
I am in love with this game, all I do is grind Crucible and strikes for a Last Word and that somehow hasn't gotten boring yet.
So do I keep playing Bloodborne, or do I buy Parappa 2?
I mean, fighting monsters?
Or rapping dogs?
I'm not really far enough into Bloodborne to justify starting a new game...
But those funky fresh rhymes.
And $10 is a perfect price too.
But my backlog is already full.
But it's short.
I dunno what to do.
Who hype for cyber sleuth, gravity rush remastered and neptunia victory 2 on the same day?
Man this game just got a big DD feel now.
Wait til theres games. Dont worry tho! They are definitely on the way! Promise!
Street Fighter V is actually pretty soon. Seriously looking forward to that.
Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition on Deathinitive difficulty. I haven't played Darksiders 2 since it first came out, but for some reason I just can't get used to the controls and I keep dieing.
>looking forward to?
Got Senran Kagura, Odin Sphere, and Battleborn preordered. Just waiting for Persona 5 to come up for preorders and I'll get that too. Hopefully they'll do some kind of collector's edition.
Maybe even a special console edition.
Who am I kidding, they won't.
If anyone plays Bloodborne, MGO, Battlefront (I know), USF4 (I'm absolute garbage help), or wants to talk about old JRPGs and stuff, add me @ Sleeplost. note that I'm a console idort so I don't get on that often.
How and where? The only quests I have are to kill a behemoth which I can't do, fix the car, and visit the choccobo store man whose never there. I don't I understand what to do
Yeah man, the gunplay is fucking great. I just hope they can get the balancing right. Fusions suck, HCs that aren't TLW or thron are subpar. Shit is satisfying otherwise, though.
You can add me if you want
If you add me make sure you tell me you're from /v/ and if you send me an invite or join my squad send me a message first. sometimes i play destiny with a podcast going and i don't really want anyone in my group, but that's not often.
What >>323993730 said. PaRappa 2 might be short, but the verses, getting cool, listening to great music, and alternative hats and lyrics makes the game replayable and it's still fun.
PS4 is decommissioned for a bit while I get into my PC backlog. Though I am very excited for Gravity Rush. I'm also interested in DOAX3, a series I wanted to get into since the original came out on xbox, but it seems subtle complaints from both fans and the series' creator make it appear like they've gutted some features to shove dlc in there like DOA 5 LR. I'm going to wait on that one.
Also cautiously looking forward to The Last Gaurdian and Dissidia, and a few other titles which seem to escape me at the moment.
I just wrapped up Until Dawn, which was a pretty neat game but didn't really wind me too much up. Maybe it's not my cup of tea. The motion sensor moments of stillness were a great horror game idea though.
I've been playing Destiny but hit a hard wall of boredom. It's a common experience I have with diablo or mmos, the whole game is grinding to grind a hard thing so you can get the ultimate loot, and grind some more. I will probably not be revisiting that for some time.
I enjoyed bloodborne, but I'm happy I didn't get a ps4 just for it. It hit the spot but wasn't the greatest game I've ever played- though it was pretty damn good.
>There will never be a new Medievil
>There will never be a new Alundra
>There will never be a new fucking Dark Cloud despite Level 5 cockteasing us by putting the first one on PSN
I'm liking Ace of Spades for my Bladedancer, and The Revelator does fine for my Warlock and Titan, but for Trials I want to run TLW and 1K yard stare since my one friend sucks ass at sniping even with 1K's aimbot and my other friend says "Sniping is for unskilled faggots"
They need to do something about the 1K, it's getting out of hand in just regular Crucible, let alone Trials
Looking for weeaboo friendos.
What are the chances of this releasing on PS4?
once you get used to the controls, its fucking fun.
It takes a little bit, make sure you are paying attention during the "grow plant" bits because I ruined the first 2 because I thought it was automated, but you control it completely.
I have two PS4 games, Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain. I don't think I've ever even taken Phantom Pain out of my PS4, that's how little I play it and turn it on.
I honestly like my cheap $75 used PS3 that sounds like a jet engine when you use it more, the games are cheap, there's a shitload of them, and I never have to pay for online. I really regret pissing away money on a PS4.
good thing about Sony like that is, they will still continue to pump out a few games here and there for previous consoles.
Ps3 was by far their weakest, so it will get the least support now the ps4 is out.
Whereas the ps3's release, the ps2 still got more attention for like 3 years.
I got a ps4 during christmas while getting a 250$ gift card at walmart for upgrading my old samsung s3 to a LG G3 since I fitted in the current promotion. Well lucky me on that.
Been a hard souls fan so I bought Bloodborne. Coming home I checked the winter sell and SOTFS was 25$ digital.
>sure why not, I'll have a real soul machine once I get DS3.
Played DS2 vanilla, SOTFS's new enemy placement is really making the game better. I Played up to endgame at the start of the first DLC only to then start bloodborne and became really fan of it. The fast style is really satisfying to play, specially SKL wep. Gonna be weird to step back in speed once DS3 came out. Hopefully I'll finish DS2 DLC in the future.
So anyway those games are fun and all but I could really get another game but like everyone I seem to wait for upcoming ones. Sorry for typo, frencho
Yeah man, that revive snipe is the name of the game. Antinomy from NM has higher AA but can't revive snipe. Either do away with revive sniping or make more of em do it. And as far as HCs go, Im just still mad they neutered my Hawkmoon. You'll love that Last word when you get it though
>tfw playing PS1 games on Vita because the PS4 still can't play them
Knowing what Sony did with PS2 Classics, they're just going to charge me extra for the privilege of using select PS1 games on PS4 instead of backporting the whole catalog.
Pretty much just been EDF4.1 otherwise. Halfway through my Storm One dude's run, but it's been tedious rolling everywhere.
I'm playing r6 siege, destiny, mgo, and trying to platinum bloodborne.
Just bought banner saga, so I'm currently downloading that.
I'm looking forward to persona 5, the division, dark souls 3, and re 0 in the following months.
>Played DS2 vanilla, SOTFS's new enemy placement is really making the game better.
Lucky you, I guess. I still despise this game, even after SOTFS. Hopefully DSIII doesn't suck
its not out yet, and that trailer is pretty much the bulk of whats to talk about for the game. in my top 5 most anticipated games of the year though, in a year where I have a ridiculous amount of games I'm hyped on
DS2 DLC is actually really good, i recommend going back to it sometime. have fun with the
I don't mind going back to DS3 though, i do kind of miss having the more methodical combat.
There's literally nothing to talk about at the moment. It looks sic, but knowing platinum this could just be a 10-hours game with a huge lack of content.
The combat looks dope though
>In July 2013, Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, renewed its trademarks of the "Agent" brand
Can you feel it?
nier looks fantastic, but it also looks like it's not coming out anytime soon. my list earlier was more geared towards 2016 releases.
reminder for everyone here especially elitist pcfat twats. It's okay to use your ps4 for exclusives AND multiplats. It is a utility console after all. Has everything and is the next best thing to having a computer capable of running games. You just subtract all the troubleshooting, bugs, shit ports, etc. Then add ease of access, ease of use, and comfortability.
it was a good game, not great.
if they could have paid to get Spyro
Solid Snake/BB along side Raiden, Maximo
God Hand Protag
Dark Cloud Protag
Dark Cloud 2 Protag
Regular Dante as well as Donte
MC of Ico, and MC of SotC
With All these extra characters along with their own maps, and items, the game could have been better.
Maybe scrap the two coles for Just one, Wouldn't need big daddy or Isaac whatever from dead space.
Or had this game come out early ps2 days, when the requirements weren't so high, then it would have been fine.
Like good at Original Super Smash, its fun as shit for Nostalgia, but compared to later super smash games they just had time to keep building on it.
After picking up
Falloutwith Christmas money I basically poured myself into it for days. I hit the part where you get to the instituteand the already shitty story took a nosedive.
bloodborneever since. Finally got gud and am now right before the last thing trying to decide between collecting all the shit I didn't get/chalice dungeons or just jumping into ng+. Help???????
The only people who push the, "hurdur if you're not playing exclusive games only then why buy a console at all? lol" rhetoric are PCshits.
I bought a PS4 to play all current gen games minus that handful Xbox will get exclusively because I can live without those. This is the case for most people.
i'd def get stuff you missed, cause you'll get a second copy of them once you start NG+.
As for chalice dungeons, those can really be done at any time, doesn't matter if you do it before or after NG+. you will need to be at a certain level to get the chalice dungeon trophy though... maybe 100+?
Honestly I stopped because it is still bland to me. I did the first DLC in on PS3 up to the 3 dudes and that was just retarded. The gameplay was still really fun but every area give you the feel of just wanting to finish it fast to go to the next one and then you are already at the end game for DLC I suppose. I did have fun in bell convenant wrecking so peeps but heh.
But I love them all on their own term still.
I'm quite surprise there's little interesting talk about DS3 tho. Dispite all the haters and lovers of the series we are all facing a moment of waiting and it's fun speculating and blablabla. I'm glad this thread is up shitposting reach a new level since a while. You guys should have seen /mu/ when Bowie died. Holy shit there's was one legit thread where everyone was laidback, cool, sensitive (due do his album/death act) as fuck. Really great !
Is it true that everyone on /v/ primarily plays on pc or at least has a computer capable of running latest games at mid settings?
If that's the case, then why do so many people on ps4 buy multiplats and why did ubisoft and ea mention most of their revenue comes from ps4 foremost then pc?
>Currently have on PS4
RE Revelations 2
Senran Kagura Estival Versus(JP version)
Guilty Gear Xrd
BlazBlue Chronophantasma Extend
Deception IV TNP
Dragon Quest Heroes
Tales of Zestiria
Just Cuase 3
FFX HD Collection
>Looking forward to
Megadimension Neptunia VII
Nights of Azure
Witch and the Hundred Knight Remaster
Senran Kagura Estival Versus(US version)
Star Ocean 5
Gravity Rush 1 and 2
Ratchet & Clank
Final Fantasy XV
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Collection and KH3
Maybe some others but can't think of others so far.
Any concrete date on Persona 5 yet? I'm looking forward to that and Street Fighter V.
>also any rumors on old PS1-PS2 series being revived?
Crash is coming. I can feel it bro.
Bloodborne feel more instinct and DSs more about proper management indeed. They are really great games.
Even if 100% of /v/ only played on PC it wouldnt change a thing about EA and Ubisoft garbage selling most on consoles, just like you wont see Blizzard garbage selling on consoles as much as on PC.
You barely got people buying games from these shit developers here anyways, no matter if console or PC.
I see people naming a plethora of games they have on their ps4 and are looking forward to.
So why do pcfats like to shit on ps4 like it has nothing but it actually has everything?
If Killer Queen isn't the ending theme I'll be really let down.
It's kind of like Anarchy Reigns: a third person arena brawler
eh, i'd strawpoll it but this isn't exactly a good thread to ask that, hah.
for me personally, i buy multi-plats because i like to play certain games on consoles (ie MGSV).
as for revenue, it's because their entire playerbase isn't /v/. there are a lot more console players than you'd think. Add onto the fact that some PC players could be pirates, but every PS4 player had to have purchased the game legitimately, and it doesn't come as a surprise that they'd say that.
Because it doesn't really have anything. Most of it's games are multiplat, remasters, or not worth owning. Not to say it's not worth owning. Between PS4 or the Xbone for multiplats I prefer PS4, and games are on the way. It's just been a wait and a half.
he's right though and you know it, asshole.
anything /v/-related outside of /v/ itself is a bubbling cesspool of meme-spouting retards. they literally cannot interact like normal human beings
>mid-2016 in Japan
this is atlus tho, so their NA release can't be far behind, right?
>Playing Arkham Knight, The Order, Injustice and DOA Core Fighters
>Looking for Resident Evil: Origins, MGSV, GTAV, MKX, Bloodborne, Shenmue III, The Last Guardian and other more i can't remember.
This game is fucking awful but I still end up playing it once every couple days. I just like being a bastard in armor in a semi-realistic environment.
Gameplay wise yes. But that won't change the awful structure of the maps and bonfire warp on-the-go with too much bonfires to choose from making a linear game out of a multipath one. As for DeS being low... I imported the japanese version that was already dubbed in english before it was localize. I really like this game but was really not a fan of world tendencies. This alone made me hype for DaS tho and god did I been bless. Really my best time. Used to bring my ps3 at my friend so we would dual ps3 and co-op at night anor londo 2v2 pvping and dropping shining coloring stones after each kill. it was glowing everywhere in the main room before biggie and small. Gold time I tell ya'
>Forever miss my occult claymore and lightning rapier
Killzone isn't necessarily bad. It has great lore and pretty good graphics but they can't seem to translate it into something that will rival the other dominant fps's out there.
Here's my advice for the Chalice dungeons once you get to Ailing Loran: Co-op it with a friend. It's boring alone, but with a friend it can be amusing. Especially trying to kill each other with traps.
a thread full of playstation fans? am I dead?
So this is what heaven feels like.
escha&logy+ is coming out in 4 days tho fampai.
who you gonna play as?
Who /hype/ here
Never owned a Vita so this will be my first time experiencing it.
>well meme'd friend
i'm split between the two. on one hand, it'd be cool to have a
dickin an atelier game, on the other hand, i feel like i'd be betraying the series by not roleplaying as a kawaii alchemist.
I was enjoying the Bloodborne DLC last week, but Orphan of Kos kicked my ass so badly, I took a break. I've been playing The Order:1886, which I got for cheap, and it's fun so far. I made sure to turn off aim assist before even starting. I wish there were even more shooter segments, cause guns like the Thermite Rifle are great to use.
I'm looking forward to that Wild game, the Resident Evil 0 Remaster, Dark Souls 3, and a few others.
can't say how it'll play on the console, but this game was really fun. kinda sad the sequel is ps4 only, but oh well.
gravity mechanics were fuckin baller and i wish they did more games with it.
It's a shame that they'll greenlight shit nobody wants like another killzone,DETROIT, and the order but won't even look at games like Syphon Filter, FUCKING TWISTED METAL, and medievil.
I REALLY REALLY want a new Getaway and ape escape
I just bought an xrgb mini framemeister (best upscaler for 240p ps1 content and 480i ps2 content) and my mouth has been on the floor ever since. I was playing ff7 earlier today. The scanlines made my eyes bleed in a good way.
holy shit, miracles do exist.
>tfw tomorrow everything will go back to shitposting
How good is this game ? Lay me your details anon. Take it to another level of information.
My fucking nigger. There's been a lack of open world crime games. There was a time where there was a shit load of gta clones that were actually good.
They should focus on hyperrealism the same way the first 2 did and take it to another level. It'll be great having something to fill that void in between gta games.
>SR went too wild and wacky
>They turned Sleeping Dogs INTO A FUCKING MMO
There's a niche to fill and there's nothing on the market right now.
They had London studios working on a fucking retarded psmove game instead of finishing the getaway 3.
Anyone want to stomp some TDM in Black Ops?
I'm playing FFVII, Bloodborne, and started Until Dawn, and got Everybody's Gone to the Rapture on platinum backburner.
Looking forward to Persona 5, Land of No Night (whatever the localized title is again) and Leifthrasir, among other things.
Why couldn't this have nice box art?
Let's play a game. Guess what each Playstation Studio is making.
Starting with Bend.
although that looks absolutely fantastic, I feel like I'd be wasting my money. Are those expensive? I love to emulate with proper filters like bsnes and such, this would be perfect, but it just doesnt seem worth it...
Already confirmed to be an open world horror game. pic related is game.
We’re looking for a lot of different talent, but we’re working on a PS4 title. We’re looking for some more senior staff people, who want to move to Bend and be part of this team. Animation programmers, graphics programmers, character riggers, concept artists… We’re making a big push into next gen, and we need the best.
According to the ad, the new game will use Unreal Engine 4 and Sony Bend is working closely with Epic Games in order to implement it in the best possible way.
That’s been a huge boon for us. Because we’re working with Epic in a similar capacity to how we’ve worked with our own studios. We’ve worked with a lot of the tech teams pretty closely. We’re just extending that same kind of velocity with Epic at this point.
Creative Director John Garvin also boasted that people will be blown away when they see it.
We know that when people see this they’re going to be blown away. We can boast that this came from our studio. There’s a certain amount of innovation that’s coming from the technology side, that just keeps us really buzzing.
Technical Director Christopher Reese echoed him and added that Sony Bend is going to push the PS4 where it’s never been before.
I think the thing I’m most excited about is the fact we’re doing a PS4 game, and it’s next gen, and to me that means we face the challenges of reaching a quality bar that’s going to make for an awesome experience for the player. Being able to do that, as a small studio in central Oregon, but as a fully-owned studio with PlayStation’s full support, means we can reach a quality bar that’s really really high. We’re looking for badass coders to help us push the PS4 somewhere it’s never been before.
Was a physical release for Gravity Rehash ever confirmed? Will it be retailer-specific?
>You play as an undercover white cop with a beard that did a fake conversion to islam
>Your job is to foil their plans of an attack
It writes itself.
Laugh all you want, but I'm playing LEGO Dimensions. Ignoring how fucking expensive LEGO are on top of extremely Jewish prices for the extra levels/characters/vehicles, it's without a doubt the best toys-to-life game I've played.
I'm looking forward to all the JRPGs we'll eventually get this year
Thank you, anon. You just made my night.
I'm happy enough that bend's been quiet as shit as to what they're doing.
Hate hearing about games I'd want to play and then am stuck waiting two years for it to potentially be shit.
At the moment ive been clearing some back catalogue ps3 games I never played, God of war all last week, just gotta finish acention tomorrow. I bought dying light and the season pass, for ps4 should be coming tomorrow too. Gonna be playing that for a few weeks, then resi origins collection forr a few days then back on dying light for the following dlc on Feb 9th.
Might even manage to squeeze in the dead space trilogy on steam before then too.
The lego games are nothing to scoff at. I hate how so many people have that preconceived notion. They're actually well-made games. I enjoy one every time they come out and they're relaxing to play after work.
Wolf, Snek, and some type of Satyr qts have been shown, so hopefully.
>I've never played an SF game in my life
Seriously? Emulate that shit now, anon.
Anybody want more? I can dump all of the images.
I hate that term so fucking much. but I guess I have a soft spot for games being cinematic since I'm a movie guy foremost.
I like visual aural experiences, and I like that games give that next level of interaction and immersion. Also love a great story
Exactly. They're the quintessential feel good games that kids can play without ever feeling frustrated, but adults can also enjoy to unwind and for the incredibly hilarious toy humor and pop culture references. I really love how the game actually incorporates assembling the LEGO sets and playing with the toys as part of the gameplay. I haven't played Skylanders, but Disney Infinity and Amiibo are pretty much just "scan a figure so you can proceed to play a regular video game". Dimensions actually has you physically moving all your shit across different parts of the scanner and while it's still pretty simple, it does a phenomenal job at pulling you into the experience
some movie games are cool. Have you played Heavy Rain? I really liked it. I just think that ''movie game'' have been so stab by shitposting that just by reading it you attach a pejorative connotation subconsciously.
Holy shit how come no one is talking about this???
and they said greatness will never come.
Neither PC or Xbox has anything like this. This is some next level medium-pushing autuer shit right here. Fuck Kojima. Fuck From.
>Pick up Metro Redux since I loved the games on PC and having both of them on one disc is a neat idea
>This ridiculous amount of rumble even on the lowest setting
Who thought this was a good idea
>What are you playing
Bloodborne. That DLC really put some life in the game.
>What are you looking forward to?
Street Fighter 5. It'll be nice to be in on the ground floor for a new mainline SF.
Sorry to get your hopes up bros but i fucked up. It's not longer a ps4 title. Negotiations with Sony fell through and they did a kickstarter instead.
The game is called scorn.
EDF 4.1, nigger
Im going to sleep guys
It's a shame things will go back to being the same tomorrow
Have a good night
Are you the guy I quoted? Because EDF players didn't have to buy 3 expansions and then pay additional microtransactions for emotes like Destiny players did.
I enjoy this game a lot. My roommate and I play it all the time. Haven't beaten it though. Some of the levels are just ball bustingly hard. Also do you have to play as the air raider to get the mech, or is that just a level based weapon?
They're well made games but they're effectively factory manufactured at this point, there is so little different between them besides the characters that I can only stomach one every couple years since the gameplay gets stale
Not sure, I haven't really played Air Raider much. But mechs will be available for certain missions regardless
Anybody else feel that Twisted Metal didn't get a fair shot on the ps3? It came out at an awkward time and the ps3 never ended up with the install base ps4 has.
I'm afraid we won't get a new one.
Beksinski ? looks like it.
used to play it a lot when it came out. i really miss this game.
>mfw i want max payne 4 and twisted metal for ps4
Anyone looking forward to this?
I never found the Uncharted games to be as much "movies" as people say. Sure, they have a lot of moments where you could have played, but at least most of the great setpieces are playable to some degree. The real problem is that the writing has never been all that great, even with someone like Amy Hennig who made the Kain series so enjoyable. They kept resetting Drake and the gang's reactions to the idea of supernatural phenomena, couldn't decide if Drake was just some cheeky ass who made up his own ancestry or was probably right, and make him quip at the worst times.
Still, I'll take Uncharted over shit like the Order
Movie game has a stigma on /v/ but I think it's a legitimate genre description for narrative driven games where the story takes priority over gameplay, and those games are definitely not inherently bad
The problem is people slap the phrase onto any game with long cutscenes, ironically forgetting how many RPGs of today can have some lengthy cutscenes from time to time.
Still, I liked Heavy Rain despite it's plot losing a lot of mystique after the first playthrough. Had David Cage not pulled Peter Molyneux about "all the characters can die at any point, you can basically end the game with everybody dead" and having only ONE killer, it definitely made all the hatred for Beyond Two Souls justified, even more so given how much LESS options that game had.
I'd have dug a game just playing as Scott, going around kicking ass, taking names, babysitting.
Soul Sacrifice is alright but you should really look into Delta. It looks better, runs better, plays better, adds a lot of new abilities and monsters and other shit. As far as "1.5" rereleases of games go, SSD is one of the more justifiable ones.
The premise of the battles is Monster Hunteresque but the gameplay differences are vast. SSD functions far better as a portable game IMO since you launch straight into 5-15 minute battles with little prep required beforehand.
The story is also GOAT and by far one of the best examples of how games can uniquely present a story.
A new twisted metal would be great and the customization set it apart from the other entries in the series. What could they do to shake up the formula again?
I couldn't agree any harder. It's such a shame Soul Sacrifice is exclusive to the Weeb Machine since I truly believe it's one of the best stories in all of recent gaming.
Eat your heart out Undertale. I was sparing monsters 3 years before you memed on everyone.
Just as long as they have more fucking story content this time around. It was a real insult having only like 4 characters with story, not to mention it was all grim crap that didn't even have the demented twinge Black had
I'm almost finished with the Witcher 3 DLC. Afterwards I'm going to work on ASS:Syndicate and replaying Uncharted 2 from the Collection.
My most anticipated:
Uncharted 4,Persona 5, Ratchet and Clank and Gravity Rush 2. I might pick up remaster for GR but I already beat it on Vita.
>mfw just played Black 20 mins ago
Anyone play shooters on the PS4? I'm really having fun with R6 right now and I might pick up Battlefield 4 so I can play it with a friend. Is Killzone still populated/was it as good game? I had a blast playing Killzone 2 on PS3.
I hope they make a new Resistance game as well because the first one was a fucking blast. Never played any of the sequels outside of a demo/beta for the multiplayer of the third iirc, felt pretty weird.
Same. While I had fun with Killzone, it wasn't anything like Resistance. So quick and sappy and the overall atmosphere of the game was perfect. Playing online and having split screen co-op was a nice touch. Speaking of split screen and bringing back old games, i'd love to see a new Warhawk on the PS4.
>buy Odin Sphere on PSN
>literally like the next day hear of Odin Sphere German HD version announced
>Pissed off I wasted like around $10 or less when it was on sale when this is coming out soon
>never bother to play the game at all now
Most likely not even gonna buy the HD version, I wish I could refund this PS2 version, or i should just play it
The combat and game mechanics were incredible when they first came out but they feel very dated now.
Also, just look at how the combat in games like GTAV feel now. It's clunky as fuck.
Playing Infamous First Light and loving it. Why did people hate Second Son so much? I played 1 and 2 back to back, and they both felt unimpressive in my personal opinion. Absolutely loved Second Son though.
>Max Payne 4
Anon, no. 3 ended the story perfectly. I know 3 was kickass, I loved it (played the series back to back, first 2 on PC, and 3rd on PS3), but please just let it end at 3.
TM2012 was a wasted oppertunity, they nailed the gameplay but the lack of content and terrible servers is what ultimately killed it
>Only 3 out of 4 factions have a campaign compared to Black where 15 racers have a story
>the worst online lag possible to the point where everyone would drive the fast cars and teleport everywhere around
i want TM to return but they should learn from what went wrong here
Have you tried The Taken King stuff? I wasn't a big fan of vanilla Destiny. I remember getting it for like 10 bucks at target, and trading it into gamestop for a profit. Then after The Taken King came out I played it for about a week straight. Shit was so satisfying.

Did anyone else get this?
Anyone had trouble with the Uncharted collection, drakes fortune in particular? Played on crushing till chapter 8 and it must have crashed more than 20 times until it refused to load my save and I had to hard reset my ps4.
Is it just me or is the built-in wifi on the PS4 dog shit? I just moved, and the TV is a floor and a room away from the router. It reads at a constant ~75% signal strength but I can't play FFXIV without people teleporting all over the fucking place and commands taking half a second to execute.
Do I need to get a powerline adapter setup?
Looks pretty good, and the demo wasn't half bad. I just hope the game has enough content and isn't short so it can "feel like the movie".
Speaking of, the movie looks like it could be pretty good, which is pretty much unheard of with game movies
Went with a 360 after my PS2, so I was out of the Sony loop from 2008 or so up until last month when I got a PS4. Had a sort of 'community' PS3 with my roommate/best friend, but him and his gf hog it for netflix so I got to barely play it at all.
LOVING the PS4 so far though. My library so far is:
Bloodborne, Far Cry 4, Type-0 HD, Last of Us Remastered, Wolfenstein The New Order, Uncharted Collection, Witcher 3, Infamous Second Son
Pondering if I should pick up Black Flag on the current PSN sale right now. This thing really invigorated my love of video games again.
