I've started playing Megaman Zero 1 on the MMZ Collection on the way home from work.
The missions are rather short so I can easily get multiple tries at going for an A or S rank going.

You can see that this game was designed for a handheld that has no sleep function. I like that.
Most of my other DS and 3DS games are fucklong JRPGs that arent too amazing for pick up and play unless you want to grind for half an hour.

It feels to me like the 3DS suffered a lot from Capcom and Konami not making Megamans and Castlevanias anymore. These things were great mainstays on handhelds ever since the brick gameboy.

I remember an interview awhile back that said that they were orignally planning to code Isabelle in Animal Crossing: New Leaf to code the next Smash Bros game for Sakurai. Making it so that people would have to play New Leaf in order to get Smash Bros released.
If they can do that, it's possible to code Nintendo games to reproduce more Nintendo games.
Make the NX a nintendo ds console where you put 1 game in on the top and 1 game in on the bottom and after several hours of playing both of them they'll make a baby game that has aspects of both parent games, which you can then breed with your friends games.

See, my idea for how a game about Jigglypuff would work would be pretty fun, hear me out.

You play as a Jigglypuff who wants to be everyone's favorite idol and you're willing to do anything to become the best. You must go out and become the most popular media sensation by wooing crowds or by ruining the reputations of others.
Jigglypuff has to procure its own outfits and venues to give performances to gain popularity. But you can also track down your competition and either expose them, use your singing to put them to sleep and into a compromising position or beat them and/or their Pokemon into submission. Jiggly's balloon body can be used to infiltrate apartments and deflate to hide in. Jigglypuff would either need to purchase or loot materials to craft outfits to wear when putting on shows, material could be acquired by beating up enemies and taking their shit. Eventually, Jigglypuff can unlock more techniques to use in combat and to solve "puzzles" as you gain EXP.

Think part No More Heroes, part Deus Ex/Hitman and part IdolM@ster, but set in the world of Pokemon.

Don't worry, you'll use them a lot anyway, since they are required for all the story missions and a good chunk of the handshake ones too, but you need to get hearts for all the other characters, and that takes time. Have in mind that Gwin and Lao only require one heart, and Doug 3. No. But they all get BPs, so you can at least upgrade their arts and give them skills right away. Underleveled characters gain experience faster, so it's not a big deal anyway.

Anyway, I personally played FE7 (of course) first, then went 8, 9, 10, then 6. Exactly where you are now. Then, I did 3, 4, and STILL haven't completed 5 (it's absolutely amazing, but it's hard, and I lost some save data, I'm actually replaying 4 for such a purpose).

Honestly, 3 is really fun, but I can't in good conscience say it's better than 4 or 5. If you want, you can play Shadow Dragon and the fan translated New Mystery in its place. FE3 omits a few characters (very minor) that were in FE1, and Shadow Dragon puts them back, but even so I DO recommend it. Fire Emblem 1 I will never play, 3 and 11 just entirely omit the need. Fire Emblem: Gaiden is... well, it's fast to beat, and has a few neat maps. But put on some music and be prepared to grind your units up. Yeah, you can grind. And you need to.

I already beat Ocarina 3D, but I might try the Master Quest edition. I heard good things about Majora's Mask 3D, but I also heard that it's short.

Majora's mask and OoT can both be rushed to make the games short but overall they are around the same length of you get all heart pieces and do the side quests in MM.

Both games are amazing and on par with one another. OoT will always be my favourite because of nostalgia but I truly believe Majora's Mask is the better game overall.
