aside from killing the other players, what is there to do in Online?
Are you one of those people who just goes around shooting everyone they see? I constantly have to be in passive mode because I don't want to deal with that shit, but then they just blow up my car instead
Nothing, but give R* money from underage kids buying shark cards with their parents cash. Instead of actual fucking DLC with content for single player, we luxury yachts and jets that costs hundreds of real dollars.
who else just rides a BMX around and goes stuntan?
doing backflips and spins in first person is surprisingly satisfying
>played online when the game came out on PC
>it's shit and boring
>5 minute loading times
Might as well try out the game now. There have been a lot of updates.
>15 fucking minutes of loading
>failed to connect
>10 more minutes of loading
>oh wow, there's fuck all to do
>join a heist
>get in the van
>dude hacks the van to the destination
>5 minute loading time
>some hacker blows up all the players
>no one can move because of some hacker
>a clone of my character is dry humping my ass
Fuck this stupid game.
Randoms will never cease to amaze me in the thousands of ways they manage to fuck up a heist or setup. This was the first and last time I helped some chinese fuck do something.
>when somebody constantly spawn kills you but they're in an bulletproof armored car
I mean when I have a fair chance I don't give a fuck but that's just cheap
>people who play online just to go into passive mode
>people who play online just to drive around alone
the loading time is pretty annoying and that's why don't really play any of the mini games
which is probably why I'm only level 30 with $60 000
no hackers on PS4 though, or at least none that I've seen
>always nice to everybody and don't kill anybody
>lobbies are always just people driving around doing absolutely nothing
>go on a rampage once killing everybody
>put into lobby with other badsports
>everybody is blowing everything to shit, smashing into each other, crashing planes and just causing general mayhem
>mfw I was missing out all that time
I just explore the map and drive around, doing jumps and stunts. It sucks that I lose money every time I die though. All I want is a sandbox where I can just fuck around, none of this semi-MMO nonsense.
Dress up as CIA with a swastika on your back.
Make money, buy stuff, chill in my yacht, buy and mod cars, fly around in planes. Anything you want really. It's a surprisingly good sandbox online and the expansions are free. I find just messing around is better online than in SP simply because i have more available to me than in SP.
I outrun shitters in everything in my schafter V12.
>want to do heists
>need expensive apartment
>no money, need heists for money
>I find just messing around is better online than in SP simply because i have more available to me than in SP
I feel that way too, never play the single player. Messing around could be fun if people were more creative than just shooting each other
>Playing with mics
I have not had mics on since moving over to PS4. I mute people who join jobs and heists.
You can join a heist crew, apartments are needed for planning. More than anything in GTAO is RP for levels. The more levels the more you can do, you don't need 5 apartments filled with supers to do stuff in game.
>play in free aim lobbies
>always fucking dead because everyone uses the default autoaim
>takes forever to even get one heist going
>whenever someone finally does join they're low level and/or have a shit K/D
I've been pretty much having to friend every decent random I play with. We did beat the prison heist on the first try though which was really fun. It's always stressful when the mission is out of your control and you have to rely on randoms to pull through.
Oh, and if you don't accept a 55/15/15/15 split you're a fucking piece of shit and need to fuck right off. The leader pays the up-front fees and gets paid nothing for any of the setup missions.
>play in free aim lobbies
>always fucking dead because everyone uses the default autoaim
Yeah that's pretty gay, I resorted to using the autoaim too. Shame there's no option for freeaim servers like in RDR
>decide to play GTA:O for fun
>immediately die to aggressive players/hackers
>turn on passive mode
>no fun allowed mode
>look for a plane or helicopter to steal
>they're all locked behind a paywall
>steal a car
>get 20 police on me immediately despite being in the middle of fucking nowhere
>die in one bullet
>respawn in the middle of nowhere with no cars in sight
>look for high end cars to sell around grove street
>heists with bros
>playing missions/farming los santos connection
>playing vip missions, which also work solo. Sightseer is pretty fun
>join a public game and do the random public events around
>do one of the newer missions that give double rp/xp
>daily objectives (though some of them are shit or just dont work)
Haven't been in bad sport since 2 years ago when I got 100+ kills with tank griefing.
It was an all out warzone. Tank brigades rolling down the street, jets zooming overhead, gun battles on every corner, griefer crews doing drivebys, RPGs flying around everywhere.
>make $500 dollars in 30 minutes
The fuck are you smoking? Just do a Gerald/Simeon mission by yourself, complete the mission then go AFK for 15 minutes near the trigger to end the mission, you get nearly $20,000 that way.
>look for a plane or helicopter to steal
>they're all locked behind a paywall
Huh, what platform is that? They don't cost anything on last gen consoles. I don't remember if there was some stupid level restriction though
>Oh, and if you don't accept a 55/15/15/15 split you're a fucking piece of shit and need to fuck right off. The leader pays the up-front fees and gets paid nothing for any of the setup missions.
You must not do alot of heists then. Being cheap with your cash will never get you a full session. And heists are not hard not even Humane labs. I always split it 25% for everyone. People will actually work harder for more money.
>did supercar glitch 2 years ago
>stockpiled up over 25m, an insane amount of money at the time
>spent it like it would never run out.
>buy expensive cars, the tank, the high end apartment, expensive clothes, just waste money left and right
>come back to GTAO now and see they added a ton of new shit
>literally 0$ to my name
>tfw now I know how lottery winners feel
Every goddamn time I get on some shitter in a jet flying around killing everybody. Check his stats in the player list, 1.4 million k/d invisible glitched body, level 7777 or something equally retarded.
Chill in one of the construction towers and snipe their jet down, they spawn in passive, send me some kind of bitchbaby text, go get a new jet, come out of passive mode, rinse and repeat.
Shitters like this need to get the fuck out of online. Just driving along with friends minding our own business then they fly by and blow up the car. At least most of them are stupid enough to follow us to the yacht and get shot down by the anti air defenses. Only to be promptly followed by "leave boat pssy as btch" or other hilarity. Why does a vast majority of the people playing this game think it's fun to just fly around and shoot people with their jets? Just doing that gets boring after a while for me.
EVERONE who did the glitch lost money even hackers and those who were given money by hackers. Had a friend get 10 billion of hacker bucks and he was level level 2000 for over 2 months. Then he logged on had nothing, no cars, no tanks, no planes, 0 dollars in the bank and was reset to level 30.
join the vg circlejerk over some armless faggots that pretend to be grills
I only load it up when someone I know is playing it. Generally we will do stuff like this >>323987094
Its just a social experiment. I like to walk around saluting people with my buddies slowly driving behind me in an armored car.
Also my character is only wearing shoes with high socks and a Ski mask with night vision goggles. He also has really gross tattoos.
Just fuck with people and their reactions are pretty funny.
One a day in game time. If you do a mission or two you get it. In fact if you join a new session you can get it twice in less than an hour and never have to pay daily utilities cost.
Nah, those was only for people who did hacks or gifted large amounts of money. I wasted my last bit of money paying for destroying someone's car.
Unless you mean they reset your money literally like 3+ months later?
>aside from killing the other players, what is there to do in Online?
Anybody who hears the homing beeps and doesn't immediately evade the rocket is probably going to crash into a building before killing anybody anyways. Homing rockets suck absolute shit against jets
>get into an endless deathmatch with some person who decides to shoot at me when I'm driving about.
>end up getting about 70 kills on them, while they barely get 5.
>keep killing them even after they start running from me.
>eventually have script kiddies descend upon me to blow me up/freeze me
One thing I hate about the PC and old gen versions. That and how everyone assumes you cheated because you're above whatever level they have in their head that legitimacy stops at.
Well I'm not poor doing the heists either but even the biggest setup cost is still less than the 25% take on hard. And when I finish mine I line up for someone else's final. I've waited to long and had to many heists fail or not even get started because of that.
Freemode is always full of foreigners sadly. Makes me wonder why rockstar never made the servers by region to severely cut down on the lag. As for hackers, just avoid them. There are alot more on PC than consoles but PS4 is too comfy to give up.
>people unironically bought this on PC with a community that is filled with hackers and activites that are a ghost town
Jesus fuck, are you this dedicated to your "m-muh master race"
Top Jew. Even taking the setup payouts and the initial cost for pacific standard on hard, 40/20/20/20 still nets host more than the help. Same holds true for all the heists except series a because the payout is garbage on it. Just admit that you're Jewish brah. I always pay out 20% to randoms if they just joined. Otherwise you just get shitters and le epik trols who fuck shit up on purpose. Losing out on that extra 15% is honestly worth not having to replay the finale 10+ times plus loading screens because you're trying to underpay people. Or if I'm with friends we always just do a 25% split across the board because we're not Jewish and we all take turns hosting the heist.
>Jump off mount chiliad
>Car lands on passing Besra
>Jump out of car at the same time
>Jet doesn't blow up the second we hit
>Tap enter vehicle
>Animation locks me right on top of jet
>Open canopy and toss him out and hijack jet
>Jet guy lands face first into a tree too close for parachute to work
>Jet has no damage
>Enjoy free jet
I wonder what game they'll release this year. I mean they have to release something right, they've been doing one game a year for forever, but now they've just rereleased GTA on different platforms for three years straight
Here's something I would do
>Find a cargobob
>fly around and look for people who are in stores (clothing, gunshop, barber)
>take their customized car while they are in the store
You can always tell it's their car because it sticks out like a sore thumb. Sometimes I go to the insurance lot or the police lot and do that. Or place the cars on the roof of a tall building but then I realize they can just call the mechanic and get them back.
>there are people who bought a ps4 just to shitpost
Mein neger, shame that welfare launchers are given to every level one shitter though.
You can only do that on dead gen. The dream is gone.
Adjusting your pay does nothing to affect performance. The only reason you'd have garbage players is if you took a low level or someone with a shit K/D. Just kick the shit players.
Any good player will not "try harder" whether they're getting 15% or 25%. It's still worth it for them to try, otherwise they'll just be sitting around waiting for a new lobby and probably get some setup mission with low level shitters.
By the way, there's a reason the game defaults to 55/15/15/15
For a while before they patched it you could cargobob a player car out of impound if you waited there drop it in the nearest water channel and not pay any damage cost since it's still impounded. It would perma destroy the car. That was a long time ago but I've never seen so much rage in any game over that.
Loads, drive, fly, explore, crime sprees and hassleing the civilians and poice. A fully fledged tennis game. Reasonably ok golf game, Co op missions, dm tdm etc.
When i play the game, I just do what but have it in mind to constantly make money, racing is one of my fav things to do
Really? You can't hook any cars or just parked player owned cars.
I just got a PS4 last month, I really might not buy GTA because of this. I did that all the time on last gen.
>Radio Mirror Park
>Blaine County Radio
If one or more of those aren't in your list of go to stations you have objectively shit taste and should contemplate bettering yourself through expanding your musical horizons.
There are other ways, anon:
>Cover a car with gasoline, get a super car, keep the car in place while accelerating and ignite it using the exhaust flame
>Cover a car with sticky bombs, take cover in the other side and have cops shoot at you. If they hit a bomb, you don't pay.
Yeah for sure. Do you notice you get kicked often? It's not always entirely accurate, but definitely is the best blind determinant of player ability. Generally anyone under level 50 or under .6 KD is insta booted.
I haven't played it since summer. Heard they added some new content like cars and huge Yachts. Yachts sound cool, are they fun?
Did they add anything interesting?
It's still the same hackerfest and constant Kuruma death rally, isn't it?
Did they fix blowing cars with exhaust then?
Neither system is worth it. If you get a good ratio going in deathmatches or freemode it can drop instantly by someone buzzing you with a jet or using proxies or grenade launchers.
If your good, you find people who friend you because they cant deal with the randoms fucking shit up all the time. In gta time is money...spending a hour on a heist. You could earn the same doing 16 player races and coming in the top 3 for an hour, and they are more fun. Though most people in gta have neber played a real racing game. They dont break they just run you off the road to win, and it always backfires..
>Did they fix blowing cars with exhaust then?
I don't think they can, same with cop blowing up your car or NPC car chain reaction. It's not playing doing it even if its your bomb or gasoline trail. Even cop can hit the gas tank.
KD means nothing in a game like GTA, with all the ways to pad it or cheat, all the GM kiddies, getting blown up a few times every session, etc. Don't even look at it.
And for the love of God, don't become an autist with it that must keep it insanely high to the point of running off from your crewmates having fun to kill randoms over and over to repair it every time you get killed.
But I've never been booted from heists with my alt character, and I've been using them for heists since they were like level 3. So I guess level doesn't have that much weight against it.
No you dont, it warns you when you are carrying over 5k thats all, because thats a bit of a loss if you get mugged, its been like that since day 1. Its 500 dropped evertime you get killed.
One day 1 it used to be 2k per kill, and that included in deathmatches, defeated the purpose.
Yachts are the best thing ever. It's like a house They spawn weapons inside, have a better interior than any apartment, a working bar with waitress. It has build in defences and can fire missiles at planes and boats at anyone that approaches And If you get the Aquarius you get for free 4 seasharks, a toro speed boat, a very very expensive chopper that costs over 3 mil to buy alone and a dingy. Plus is fucking awesome looking with paint and customs stuff even a working hot tub. The ship captain can spawn any car on the land and the vehicles even the chopper cost you nothing to replace and spawn back pretty quick. You can even lock them from other players using it.
Moving the ship is a pain since it's 25k to move it.
Idk what kind of people you're playing with, but I learned real fucking early that I'd rather spend a few more minutes waiting in the lobby than spend two hours retrying because I let a low level or low KD in.
>they still pay if you have insurance
>also badsport if you're on console.. no badsport lobbies in PC
This is what made me stop playing GTA 5 multiplayer.
It's just retarded.
1. No actual open world, just a lobby with a few players in it.
2. Discouraged from doing things that you naturally do in a GTA game.
It is literally garbage.
Just stand at the beach where you want it to spawn, and join a new session, it'll move the yacht to your location when you spawn in the new session. Or join a job/race/etc near where you want it to spawn. Only paid to move mine once, after it didn't stick around in the spot I wanted it to after doing some races I decided to not waste my virtual money on moving it ever again.
Its not hospital bills, it used to be, 2k at lauch, its money lost that you carry, mind I never kill myself so maybe killing yourself without doing it through the menu might take hospital bills
>tfw beaten all the heists in the game, mission grinding machine
>people will look down on me for my 0.3 K/D because I'd rather shoot computers than players
You mean me, on my journey past 20+ with jet shitting? >>323990596
of course you mean me
I had a long post written out asking if it was the PS4 cunt with his "not so fast, literally all of you", but then I realized I said "runs off from crew to kill randoms", thought it had to be me after that.
People who use a Kuruma to deathmatch are fags, but do you also look down on people who use them in heists?
>always fucking dead because everyone uses the default autoaim
This pisses me off, on 360 I was free aim all the time, only joined auto aim to race because most racers were in auto aim and the split the lobbys because of gta races. After the heist update people seemed to play only in free aim because its quicker against the AI...now no one is in free aim, drive 200mph and get auto aim killed by a low level noob...killed the free roam for me, I normally be on passive now all the time
Kurumas in Heists and Contact Missions are cancer. Fuck them.
Nope, use kuruma to grief the fuck out of randoms and use it on heists as well.
Me and my boys all load up in the kuruma and pick people off from afar. If you're always moving they can never hit you with explosives. My K/D just hit 9.0 yesterday night lol.
I'm the same way, I don't even bother with people in freemode. Not often I get kicked for a 0.3k/d but why does it matter since alot of heists you don't even need to shoot. Then again I've been kicked because someone liked my shoes but hated my choice of pants and after a 30 second mini 14 year old freakout was kicked.
Anyone else troll the fuck out of people with the kuruma?
Me and my mates use 2 armored kurumas with two people in them each and chase people down and double team them until they rage quit. Very rarely will someone ever be able to hit us with a sticky or rpg but if they do they pay our bills anyways and are one step closer to bad sport lol
anyone getting killed by a kuruma is a shitter anyway
it's a higher profile target than most of the sports and muscle cars, and one explosion kills it. if $6k is a lot to you then you're bad at the game
and should get a mod menu
>Oh, and if you don't accept a 55/15/15/15 split
Time is money, if I stuck with you from all the setups, which I have done 100's of times and get small change for them, whicH i could get easy because im a pro racer for. I get platinum or gold on all then you charge me 15 and a random low level noob who just joined for the heist 15 too....I will sit in the heist menu for the full 4 mins while I make a cuppa and smoke a spliff, all while I could have carried the team and completed the heist, you kick me....good luck with all that time finding a good player and waiting in the lobby.
Look at the up front costs, 40 20 each is fair. Or 15 for a fresh random
There's no super you can drive and not looks like a dick.
The massacro race car in the right hands can out pace anything. And since people always crash into traffic and walls even people in supers don't catch up. Schafter V12 non armored and carbonizzare are the other two.
Plenty of ways, most fun way on your own is get all gold in the flight school, ot adds up to 1 mill, or do all the heists and setups in a row, even on easy, you get a bonus 1mil I can earn about 300k in an hour doing full lobby races
Not only can they not drive, they can manage to blow up a fucking armoured car from their terrible driving. I thought the memes weren't real but by god every chinese player is fucking braindead in GTA.
This makes me think, do people always assume people are furious when they go somewhere else? Like your example, if someone started doing that to me I would probably just find a new session since I have no interest in trying to shoot you or something, and getting run over infinitely isn't terribly entertaining
>people who become VIPs but don't invite any bodyguards or do any VIP work
>Kurumas in Heists and Contact Missions are cancer
What, you don't like completing missions?
What kind of car do you recommend for not getting swiss cheesed in a hard mode mission/heist? I'd rather have a noob in a Kuruma who survives than some guy driving a shitty muscle car that takes a bullet to the head from the cops.
Ring up Leicester "find a helicopter" iys on your map, or what I do is either ring up merrywerer, get a chopper pick up shoot the guy, fly away, worse comes to worse. Ring a taxi, drop you anywhere inatant
What >>323994773 said. I only hear people's music, squeaky kids and minorities with 8 family members in the same room.
exactly it sounds like there is a huge fight in the background.
You hear pots and pans, a baby crying, a cordless phone ringing.
Im not one for cheating or snitching, or rage quitting but in gtao I report the glitchers and just leave the lobby or join a race, I appreciate what Rockstar have tried to do to conquer the hackers in gtao, they fucked up both gta4 and rdr, onlines are broken, id still play rdr if it wasnt destroyed.
Bait. I will Hydra shit you back into the stone age, kurwa shitter.
I'm a pretty big fan of the slasher mode or whatever it's called.
>8 v 1.
>The eight people have only flashlights and are prey.
>The other player has a shotgun and is the killer.
It's pretty amusing.
for all the shitters I've reported, I'm surprised r* hasn't closed off some of the wall breaches that have been there for so long. But they'll hotfix the shit out of saving vip outfits in a heartbeat. I like the effort they put in to not have online turn into a complete shithole like rdr but a lot of the time the effort fixing things seems a bit misguided, or at the very least, poorly prioritized. But I guess having unique outfits is worse than shitters hiding inside buildings or passive mode glitchers. but at least online isn't completely hopeless like gta iv or rdr so hey, I'll take what I can get.
>not a machete
One fucking job.
The reason why it is that % is being honorable you pay the top performing players more, ones who got gold and platinum. Thats the whole point of it, looking at the rank medal and kdr on the board. Im a top player I would only accept 15 if I just joined for the heist, but id only give it 1 or 2 randomers fucking it up and ill leave, it would take too much money, I could do the fleeca bk to bk 60/40 and earn more money in 15 mins than your shitty 15% on Pacific that took 20 mins and 8 retries because of randoms....
I'm surprised they never made a zombie mode yet Like RDR did. Zombies in Los Santos would basically be like season 1 of walking dead
I know it's been done to death and back but I'm still surprised they did jump on the bandwagon
Each map everyone inevitably ends up in the same spot waiting behind the door to bumrush the slasher. It was fun at first, but god damn the FIB building is the worst now, it's more entertaining to see how many I can kill before they reach the bathroom stalls
>Buy and kit out a Panto
>got two buddies in separate insurgents to chase me through town
>two minutes later a dozen insurgents are hooning through LS trying to catch the clown car
All fun and games until that one faggot in a super wings a sticky at said panto. Of course the insurgents would make it their next target until I could get my panto back.
I agree, so does most of gtag. But this is a fun thing we have done a few times before. Just have everyone that has one grab an insurgent and hunt down kurumas and play kickball.
>having troubles with insurgent babbies and their giant windows
Whenever one tries to chase me down on the road, I usually smoke them with the AP pistol before they can manage to get a sticky anywhere near me. Most of the time they'll try to ram you, and use that time to sticky you since they can't blow themselves up. Just keep driving, and shoot behind you, that front window is hilariously large for an armored vehicle. not to mention they're super easy to outrun in any of my sports classics I'm usually cruising around in. It's not that fast, and most people driving it ram everything out of their way so you can further the distance between them
Kdr and rank is all we have to go on to determine if you are a compitent player if you joined my heist under 100 with below a 1.0 kdr id probably kick you, your a liability, im nearly 300 rank and my kdr has dropped from 2.4 to 1.6 after the heist because of all players on auto aim, thats my original character. Thats average decency, but people see me online im competent at everything and pro racer and pilot
you probably don't have many player kills to begin with
probably going after the low level players
most people either land a rocket or head to a jet in passive mode after some time
you know menus have advanced to the point where your teammate could be rank 1000, have a K/D of 10+ and still be shit right?
more often than not they are shit because free mode is all they've ever needed to know
After taking the time to play around on the Internet and read a lot of the sites, I have to agree. The quality and quantity of humor in the Internet far exceeds that found everywhere else in the game. With the exception of Bless Your Heart on bcr. No idea why, but Bobby June just tickles me no matter how many times I listen to her. Wish they did more with the talk show hosts on the radio instead of one or two for each one. Because bcr could have been a gold mine with more content
Id blow you away withba rocket, got shit loads of money and it would take 100 cars to go bad sport, if you persisted I would go either In a car park, proxies, call merrywether. Ring the police or put a bounty on you...or all of the above, after ive killed you a few times and you persist bevause your but hurt from a more skilled player wo doesnt need a karuma to merk people, while you try to get close to me then ill passive mode it and watch the madness ensure
I remember I was playing this online once. I had some c4 and I was driving around in a Ferrari type car that I stole and calling some nigger a raycist.
He got really mad and I tracked him down and put c4 on his car while he was in a gun store. I blasted eifell 45 through my speakers and blew it up when he got in and drove off.
>see red dot darting toward me
>figure i'm going to be destroying some b-tier vehicles anyway
>go off the radar and head toward hydra
>appear again on the radar
>that same red dot is now passive
>red dot heads for jet/buzzard/savage
>never let them enter it
Course not, im only 300 because I play all sorts of games, thats my one and only char from day 1 transferred to ps4 so the dedicated people will be in there 1000's especially after the heists its so easy to rank up now. But I know what a glitcher is, me a guy 66.0 kdr, shoot me I get tazered, shoot him with a rifle he explodes but doesnt die...blatant hacked.
I no a glitcher and hacked, in races you see a lot of lag switchers too...they have obscene amounts of wins but crash into everyone and dont follow the racing lines...its pathetic imo, that type of stuff defeats the purpose and skill from games
I imagine that the costume glitches, they havent checked the variables of the effects and dont know what damage it could do to the game, where those few mesh clips are in the base sp game too, and it runs fine. Everyone knows about most of them, I just stick away from those areas if im getting shot at.
>Mod the game without realising that I can't play online using nodded .rpf files
>mfw I enjoy driving around a DeLorean in SP more than playing online
Fuck, loading times, terrible community, easy to hack, unbalanced, the only reason to play online is doing heists with friends
>play for a few weeks after it came out
>came back today
>deathmatch is unplayable because of level 300 autists who have been playing non-stop
Most of the sport classics or muscles as long as you don't add the tacky shit just because it costs more. Don't make it pure chrome or mix obnoxious colors together and you'll be fine. You can spot a pleb a mile away with their super gt wings and bright blue/bright red color combos. As long as you look at it and say "this doesn't look like it was designed by a literal child" you'll be fine
Here's a bunch of webms from a video im working on.
I know what you mean. People are so fucking bad.
Here's a pic of my friend after running the entire Series A Funding heist on hard at lvl 6-9 without bulletproof helmet or 200% hp baby vest just to prove how easily the heists can be completed.
>get to the parachuting part
>going for nothing but body-shots
faggot had it coming
9/10 times players will zig zag if they're running toward you
9/10 times the player's head and your crosshair should converge
go after someone who registered as a VIP and they aren't allowed to go into passive mode unless they run out of time or quit being a VIP (which would put a long cooldown timer on them)
plus, if they are doing any VIP missions, it completely fucks them over.
Just made this video for the thread
I can vouch for the sultan.
Its the first car I saved and upgraded.
Its pretty fast and you can confuse the shit out of people with it if you keep to normal spawnable car colors and drive like an npc when they approach you.
To be honest, I'm always in passive mode, because the hackers in the game are incredibly prevalent, you never know when you're going to randomly get exploded.
The game is honestly garbage.
I actually like PvP combat, but nobody ever wants to play adversary modes, they just want to blow each other up in freemode which is completely fucking pointless.
You have all these people who claim they love PvP, but never once play actual PvP modes, they just blow up random non-aggressive players in free mode, and consider themselves skill for it.
Games like this need to make people play SP for a minimal amount of time before going online, fucking retards jump into MP not knowing anything and expect to be spoonfed basic information.
Did you shoot the tail rotor?
You can see which car is which on the minimap so blending in wont work.
The sultan used to be a drift nachine, you pimped it and it was called sultan rs, last time I got mine out it seemed sluggish and had to much oversteer
I'd consider robbing shit, mabye doing starter heists, and in general playing the game like you would if you aren't a brainless sperg who can't go minutes without killing anything in sight.
>about 60,000 concurrent players at any given time
>play any time past 9pm
>the only servers i get are either full of chinks or russians
How the fuck does this even make sense
How the fuck are the only servers i get out of thousands, are a few on the other side of the god damn world
>Get a menu
>Get 50 cars and a besra
>literally all I do is drive around
>cool car taxi
>drive up to some guy, honk my horn twice
>50/50 chance he'll shoot me
>or get in
>50% of the time have fun
No I shot the pilot in the face.
It just spun out.
I have one where I headshot 3 people in a limo from about the same distance but Im not sure which clip it is. I have like 200 clips I havent sorted through and recording or did the camera work for yet. Been working on going through them for the past two days.
I don't use SC cars, I have a bunch of vintage cars from I'm not a hipster update and a rancher/gr- something.
Give me yours, I'll add ya.
In-game now, have the max-payne looking avatar.
Yeah, I like doing that but the 95% is that they'll cap your arse.
Gettimg them to fix your expensive shit is funny though.
Series a is the easiest, but even that heist he cant even buy full body armor, so if hes the front driver of the truck on hard he would probably go through allbhis body armor before he got half way down the freeway. Anyway the heists and missions like anythig is just memory, see if he could do Pacific on hard without jumping the fences and using the lectro to get to Ranton, his driving skill will be low, no speed, got not rocket launcher, no max armor or health...a liability, I would kick him instead of starting the heist and watching him die at easy parts over and over
>game still runs fine
jumping the fences? wut
Pacific standard is easy as fuck, you could literally 1 man the whole thing and afk half the time while other people drive for you
smoke weed in apartment and do nothing
other two randoms do all the work
take heli pick up guy
take heli to base
drive up coast get guy
take boat to land
get in parked beach cars
drive up mountain path and take convoy path
drive into mountain and wait to lose cops
drive to bridge and trigger convoy
drive up to convoy and kill them and get truck
drive truck and super etc with super person getting out to RL heli
take kuruma drive around in circle killing doodz
get on bikes and wait as a group to leave simultaneously
drive forward ignoring first right out of base down one road ignoring recommended yellow path
take the now 2nd road
follow it all the way up hit boost through bikers
do bank thing
draw dicks on wall etc
GL fucking everything
take right path jump off roof
walk forwards to yellow point
walk down road
get to bikes
blow up bikes
walk into apartment
get a fast 4 man car
drive to left coastal highway
take highway all the way to boat
fling car off cliff onto beach of 2nd mission
drive to boat
shoot all the doodz
get into boat
>normal heist difficulty is too easy
>hard is also pretty easy, but random headshots wipe the entire heist and there's not really anything you can do about it in some heists other than pray to Odin the RNG doesn't decide to fuck you this time, or wear a helmet (which kind of defeats the point of customisation)
IMO, in Hard you should only have one life, but the rest of the crew should be able to continue if you die. Maybe keep the whole "everyone has to start again" thing as a harder difficulty.
Maybe they could balance it by not allowing you to get health back?
In any case there aren't enough heists in the game (in either SP or Online) and the unskippable cutscenes is simply not justifiable
Not to mention all of the prep missions end up just being "drive across the entire map" "kill a few baddies to get the thing" "drive all the way across the entire map again"
Of course that's pretty much how SP worked too
GTA V was a disappointment all around
>mfw i split it 25% every time
>B-but you lose money!
>mfw i have 80 mil from having a buddy who hacked my profile on ps3, and then i transferred it to ps4
feels good not having to worry about it, and having the best yacht and gold plane/helicopter
eat shit faggots
Racing. We have dedicated crew that makes new playlist every day and we just play them. It can be fun when you have to do 50 wallrides followed by 80 loops and some get so frustrated they start insulting party chat. Great laughs and I do get impressed by some of the races community have created with limited tools.
if I join and the amount if set to the very lowest, I usually find a subtle way to screw up the run. I'm actually quite skilled at doing heist, so if a person pays well, I'll make sure we complete it.
>revert back to the old version
>100+ russians, brazilians, and mexicans in a server
>endless fun for some reason
>Get a blade hardtop
They handled racing fucking retardedly though
>Oh you want to upgrade your car? You have to go win 50 races!
>What's that? One of the people in the race has all the upgrades? Well, guess you won't be winning this race then, chump!
Well you can turn costume vehicles and catchup OFF. Not that people ever do that but you know the option is there. I do hate how only first place matters no matter how many players are in the race. Should be top 3 get unlocks ect.
my self.fm is all of kendrick's work. From the remix mixtapes to TPAB.
I just can't find enough enough subdued music to chill to. With a mix of soul/funk.
>This is actually an SOS
I like keeping catchup on just to keep the race more even. More fun racing head to head than driving around by yourself, though maybe that's just a crutch that ultimately makes people worse at racing
You don't have friends so it's moot, but I fuck around with my buddies, we do races, heists, those lobby games, sometimes we just drive around trying to survive the longest. It's fun fucking around with friends.
I miss the glory days of SA:MP so much.
Remember playing a lot of crooks n cops. One time me and my friend kidnapped another player, forced him to empty his bank account and then we gave him an STD and left him for dead in the desert. Good times.
>Guys who listen to the same critically acclaimed shit over and over again
>can't criticize them because artists like nujabes are unable to be disliked
>MF Doom's albums are apparently "infinite replayable"
>Liking different shit is bad
>start a Heist Finale
>Lvl 3 joins
>Lvl 4 joins
>Lvl 12 joins
Thank fuck I got over my guilt when kicking people back then.
Did they seriously patch out picking up player owned vehicles with the cargo bob? I thought that was a fucking feature, not a glitch.
Why the fuck is grand theft auto now no fun allowed?
>used to have to pay ridiculously high hospital bill every time you died, and every time you killed another player
>destroy someone else's vehicle, in fucking grand theft auto, you have to pay for it
>destroy too many vehicles and you get put into a bad sport lobby on console
>get charged for everything, getting killed, getting your car out of being impounded if you don't feel like running from the cops
>people whined about being killed online, when you could just make your own private lobby, so they added passive mode
>used to be able to run over people in passive mode
>they turned passive mode into literal ghost mode, untouchable
I don't understand why you're in a public lobby if you don't want to shoot or get shot by people
i recently created a new character and fun fact: you start getting heist invites WAY before you get mission invites. At lvl 10 or whatever all you can do is pvp stuff or heists.
There are only two ways you can play GTA:O.
Either you get at least 4 buddies and go around trying stunts, bullying others, playing fun User Created Levels, making movies with director mode etc.
Or you get yourself a nice bottle of vodka, rum, whiskey/ whatever you like, get your mic on, get into a full lobby and get the fun going with other people. I once did this on a boring night and ended up gathering 16 people in the lobby to cause chaos and bro it up with each other having fun.
Because i dont have friends.
I dont understand why anyone would be so bored with their life that they would try so hard to just kill people who arent even really paying attention or are momentarily AFK
I thought i was the one who was the loser, but holy shit
>play open world shooter
>WOW PEOPLE ARE SHOOTING AT ME? FUCKING LOSERS
There's really not much to do in the world once you've seen all there is. You either drive, fly, or just kill people.
Yeah, new gen passive mode people are ghosts basically. You can see through them, and you drive straight through them. They may as well just get into a private lobby
You can have no interaction with the actions of a non-passive player. But they still feel the environment.
For example, if you eject for your car and it runs into a passive player. It will hurt them.
If you are getting shot by the cops, and a non-passive player gets into the crossfire. It will hurt them.
>finish Heist setup
>that one guy that goes Passive and waits
>he point blanks you
>cap him as he gets in his car
>use sniper rifle
>get in car, run him over, and use SMG
>run him over
>he types "grow up"
I admit, it's not the most mature thing to do, but it's goddamn satisfying.
Well yeah but these people who shoot me when im just standing there on my phone. And then i respawn and i just open my phone and they shoot me. And repeat
Till i go passive and they're like OMG REKT LOL PASSIVE NUB
its just like holy fuck are you serious
>Guy starts shooting you
>go passive immediately
>he just drives away, sad
>minding my own business trying to buy clothes
>someone pulls up in his Armored Kuruma and starts shooting at me
>Can't leave the store since he's emptying lead at the doorway
>Have to blow him up since I can't kill him with bullets
>YOU ARE A BAD SPORT FOR BLOWING UP HIS CAR
Fuck you, Rockstar
>I'm bored I feel like killing some people
>here's the closest player to me, killed him
>I could drive all the way over to a different player, or just stay here and try starting a shoot out with this dude
The Kuruma should be excluded from bad sport shit when you blow it up, considering that's the only real way to defend yourself when some dude in one attacks you
How would YOU fix Heists anon?
>if they die in the Heist, they stay dead and that's it, you know, like the fucking normal Missions do
>remove Armored Karuma
>set to level limit on who can join
>if they leave, keep the Job going, you know, like the normal fucking missions do
Because it's boring. It's fucking boring and it takes away decent shooting to some faggot playing wack-a-mole in a car while he jerks off. I'm fucking livid about the fact that the first thing people do in Pacific Standard is blow the fucks so they can get the armored Karuma. It shows to me that you aren't good enough that you trust yourself to use any sort of decent skill you have against A.I.; I don't care if you want it done as fast as possible, use a Minigun or something, just don't take away the fun for me. And the worst part about this is that I'm in the minority for thinking like that.
>make heist like last man standing
>teammates can complete mission
>if you are dead when mission is completed you get 75% of the cash award
>if they leave, keep the Job going, you know, like the normal fucking missions do
That's cool if you're playing for fun but if I'm grinding for money I don't want a guy getting shot in the face on a hard mode heist. People with real driving skills are rare so I don't really care if people bring Kurumas on hard missions.
>That's cool if you're playing for fun but if I'm grinding for money
Grinding for money is such a bitch in this game. And holy shit people get greedy as fuck
>do all the heist set ups with two friends and whatever random we find
>finally have the finale ready
>get a random player who didn't help at all with any of the set up missions
>divide the money accordingly, I get the most since it's my heist, two friends get equal cut, random gets the small cut
>"Make it 25%"
>Fuck off, we spent the time doing all the set up missions, you don't deserve 25% just for joining at the end
>"I'm not readying up until you change it to 25"
>Fine by me, I'll wait
>Dude eventually readies up
>As soon as we load in and I get in my car he tries blowing me up and kills himself
>Heist failed "You could have just made it 25 and avoided this"
I could tell from his voice it was a fucking nigger too
>can out pace anything
This is a lie, since "in the right hands", a top super is way faster than it is. Just use an Entity or Turismo R if you are autistic about mainstream supers.
Also, driving a race car outside of a race is a faggot flag just like dollar rims.
>random gets a small cut
if you took money away from his minimum pay to increase your friends pay and your own, you can go fuck yourself. but if it was left at 20%(or whatever it usually is), then it's whatever. up to the individual to decide if they want to stay for min payout, or go elsewhere.
I think what bugs me the most about groups like this, is that I'm usually the best player and they always put me in the role they can't do, or incapable of doing(e.g. pilot, ground team, etc) and want to pay me the least amount, when they end up dying 2-3 times before we finally get it.
>"make it 20 :)"
>"because it's fair"
>no it's not, you just joined
>"im poor :c"
>not my problem
>host has left the session
You take 15 and you fucking like it.
I've had people give me the "it's only fair" argument so many fucking times, and they always ignore that the host of the heist doesn't earn any money throughout the set ups. So the only way to make the heist worth your time is to have a big cut
This is when I take 10% from their 15% and give 5% to each of the other players.
Pretty much this. The NUMBER ONE COMPLAINT I have about heists is how they instantly fail if someone dies or leaves, which is fucking bullshit. I'd even be in favor of the dying person receiving ZERO payout. As an incentive to not suck.
My second complaint with heists is requiring 4 players for every single fucking mission when you CLEARLY DO NOT NEED 4 PEOPLE for most set-ups.
roleplay a street hooker for ERP
I haven't played this shit in forever.
Does every faggot still use that armored sports car? The armored Kuma right?
I bought GTA V a while ago and was thinking of getting into the online. Is it worth playing without people you know? Will I be underpowered as shit until I level up and will I be able to do heists/missions from the get go?
Yeah people still use the Kuruma. Either that or the Insurgent.
Then you have the occasional Zentorno driver. Then the poorfags driving some random car/bike or the free Elegy.
the latest update introduced more armored cars. they can take more than 1 explosion, but they'll be destroyed with 2. the windows aren't bullet proof either.
there's an armored limo like this as well that comes with a turret on it. it's not even half as good as the gun insurgent.
the usual jet, attack helicopter, sticky bomb assholes will rip you to pieces in any of these.
>just started online a week ago.
>tfw I just drive around in my Phoenix listening to link relate
I have pretty much gotten over trying and I just enjoy the night driving.
play with friends on a closed session
>tfw crew has 30+ members IRL friends
we don't play anymore though we done all the missions already... never cared about the lowriders and yacht DLC
I've played alone for the most part and had missions and heists with decent people. You can do anything at rank 1 except start your own heists, you might find it harder because your health will be lower until you level up a little. To start it's best to join random contact missions and get some money/rank up, less likely to be kicked because if you suck you don't end the game and you get money and rp either way.
>bro orders in an insurgent with the machine gun
>drive around the lobby murdering scriptkids who are spawning in cash for their friends
>murdering anyone not obeying the road laws
order must be maintained
It's a piece of shit. I can appreciate the effort and variety they included in the game but it can be a nightmare sometimes. Trying to do heists or missions is a total lottery because there's a good change the game will just fuck up trying to load the session. It happens far too often for it to be acceptable.
So from a lot of the videos I've seen of GTA online, the player vs player component mostly seems to be done with auto aiming automatic guns. I've heard there are servers where auto aim is disabled but does anyone play on them?
>look for a plane or helicopter to steal
>they're all locked behind a paywall
Except they're not? If you want a plane or chopper on request via phone call, then you have to pay sure. But you can still find planes and shit to just hijack at the airport, and the military base (if you can get in and survive) still has some military aircraft.
>buy all military vehicles you want
>buy 5 properties of your choice
>fill all of their garages
>buy an yacht
How to do so?
>keep repeating Pacific Standard
I'm already done with all of these, though. Then I just keep waiting for the next update to check new cars/ new properties.
that's because a huge portion of the load time is spent looking for and joining a session and gta online has the worst netcode ever shat out by a triple a company
try to create a private session for comparison, there's a massive difference
how the fuck do you even play this shit
>make a character
>join a heist
>5 minutes load
>takes 15 minutes for enough people to gather
>they immediately leave after heist starts
>5 minutes load
>actually manage to play
>some retard dies
>5 minutes load
>try to join classic gamemodes like t deathmatch
>make a character
>try to join in a heist
>spawn again outside a hospital
>some nigger guns me down before I can gain control of my character
>lost all my money
Who at Rockstar thought this was a good idea?
>that one car you still have from the launch week of Online
What's her name, /v/?
I recently got myself a Seminole in honor of my first owned car.
Well you have the complete map of GTA 5 to play around in so I'd say that's pretty open world.
And how exactly does it discourage you?
Okay destroying other peoples personal vehicles will get you punished but killing other players by other means doesn't.
It ain't cool to destroy anyone with a C4 either, it gets old really quick so I really don't see the problem, you can still drive by and do all kinds of shit in the game
Public lobbies are shit.
Get some others/friends who play the game and fuck around in private lobbies.
Race eachother, drive around, do stunts, heists, FUCK SHIT UP.
I've had some of the most fun I've had on video games in private lobbies on GTA - IV and V.
Is anyone else continually amazed just at how FUCKING STUPID randoms can be in heists? I mean it's one thing to not be very skilled, but it's another thing entirely to not have a fucking ounce of common sense in your damn brain.
Shooting explosives right next to fucking teammates, trying to take planes off while enemies and cars are right on the fucking runway, smashing into shit while you're driving, taking your shitty supercar and then dying repeatedly because you refuse to get in the damn kuruma, being unable to land a fucking plane, not knowing how to lose police, NO ONE FUCKING USES THE HEAVY VEST OR THE HELMET (and oftentimes they'll restrict your outfit to the preselected ones, locking you out of your own vest and helmet), and so on.
It's just fucking crazy. I just got on after not playing for over a year, and this is my first time playing any of these heists. There's no fucking excuse for it, it's just infuriatingly bad.
Just got into my first mission, the one where you shoot ballas and vagos with Lamar. Dumb fucks on my team just threw explosives everywhere at the end and we failed. I fucking hate other people. Why can't these missions be single player as well..
>that guy who always crashes his teammates while driving to the objective
That's me. Running over bikers is my favorite.
>stealing bikes for heist mission
>first three attempts some dude shoots into the compound with a rocket launcher repeatedly destroying the bikes
>doesn't understand what he's doing wrong
>people 'forget' to use silenced weapons or repeatedly fuck up in the exact same way because no-one understands how the very simple and thoroughly explained mechanics work
most people are just fucking idiots, but there must be a large number of people who play this game who are literally children/drunk/high/actually retarded/foreign and incapable of understanding anything.
exactly why I only play with friends and not randoms. The worst is when you have a microphone and are telling them what they need to do and they don't listen. like "hey random guy, we know a really easy way to do this mission follow us". and they then do their own thing, get crushed, and die like a bitch.
Is there much point in buying houses online? I just recently bought the 25k storage garage for my car/bike but I am thinking of upgrading. Do I get to keep the old property or do I have to sell it in order to move into the new one?
You can have multiple properties, I don't remember the limit though. If you want to host heists yourself, you'll need a high end apartment. Otherwise there's really no other reason for a house other than having a safe place to hang out.
>I like keeping catchup on
>I like castrating every other player because one fucktard can't race and needs help to win
nothing its shit. so much potential with gta online and they couldnt come up with anything good. i thought you would be able to set up a criminal organisation with your friends with sombody acting as the boss and underbosses etc. instead you just drive around shooting people and heists are a bitch to set up and poorly designed.
Suck a dick. I died instantly from enemies that just started spraying me with aimbot accuracy that had just spawned and in just three bullets. I guess I gotta grind levels to buy that better body armor first
Murder people with the Hydra
I really need a game about fighter jets, can someone recommend me one?
>get back into the mission, this time on easy
>enemies are just as aimbotty and my partner doesn't do shit
>cunt partner leaves
>don't get sent back to the mission starting point but have to drive there in my slowass shitty handling car that I can't upgrade becase I didn't grind enough levels.
Fucking great shit there, Rockstar
>Just killing people
ESCALATE MY MAN
>Kidnapping players in ground vehicles using the Cargobob
>Formation flying in Hydras and Lazers
>Impromptu jetski races
>Cross-country faceoffs on Sanchezs
>Coordinating to try getting sea vehicles up the mountains, particularly into that one pond in the North-East
>Knife fight betting rings
>Clay pigeon shooting with ramped cars and rocket launchers
>Loading the server onto a bus and going on a guided tour of every jump, narrated by a camp Texan guy on microphone
>Everyone on the server silently agreeing to stalk one particular guy from distance. Not doing anything. Just following.
>GTA Online's pvp feels like a mmo; rather than a shooter
nigga what the fuck
>load up GTA O
>barely anyone goes to the desert area when it's literally 10/10 comfy
>enjoy some good music or a podcast
It's the only game that got me away from Euro Truck.
Sabre GT from the day Online launched and looking back it was a fuckin' miracle onto itself that I was even able to play and progress that day. She's my first car and remains one of my most used even to this day.
My friends and I would do tricks with bikes.
Just get a nice, springy bike and use the sidewalks as boosts to get on the rooftios of the houses, and from there see where you can go.
We ended up climbing up buildings by doing this. Good times.
I am going to find whoever made this mission and take a huge shit in his mouth
I don't really need anything in the desert, but I can see what you mean, some of the heists/setup take place there but you can't do any of it on your own. Still it's just really comfy to head to a small town, rob a store, and drive away.
