Well the Dream, obviously.
>Sorry guys, I couldn't make it this year. I've got a perfect attendance record to keep.
>Maybe I'll see you guys for the next one, okay?
I think it's time to embrace Crash Retold levels of autism next time they make a new Smash.
No Microsoft Rep. Master Chief would be good, or perhaps the hero from Fable. Also missing a PC rep, so Gordan Freeman would be the most well know by PC or Geralt.
Who really cares anyway? Honestly I'd rather have the Hunter from Monster Hunter. That would have been dope.
Do you seriously believe Bayonetta is iconic as those characters?
Wait a minute... could it be...!?
Nah, just my imagination.
You're retarded if you think more people today know Mega Man or Ryu than Cloud.
None of those threee are really iconic in the grander sense though. If you do a survey among the general populace and ask which characters people recognize I bet the results would turn out something like this:
85% recognize Mario
70% recognize Pac-Man
40% recognize Sonic
10% Recognize Cloud
5% recognize Mega Man and Ryu
>5% recognize Ryu and Megaman
>My fucking hillbilly boss that can't do anything other than jerkoff to football and Alabama knows who the fuck Ryu and Megaman were
Come on man. Stop being retarded. I don't think a lot of people would recognize cloud because nobody in my town is a fucking weeaboo. Not the normalfags anyways.
Then clearly your town isn't representative of the general population.
FF7 was fucking huge when it came out, it was the AAA game of the time and had the same audience games Assassin's Creed or Uncharted have today. TV spots everywhere, everyone knew about it, millions of sales. Ryu and Megaman never had that kind of exposure, especially not Megaman.
Obviously you weren't even born back then though considering you're retarded enough to think FF7 was a weeaboo game.
>Mario's second rival
Please, that rivalry was entirely on Crash's side, Nintendo's marketing was still focused almost exclusively on Sega and Sonic. By the time Sega fell off the first party wagon, Crash had already been sold off and was spiraling into irrelevancy.
>Spencer will never be in Smash
The guy killed Hitler, for fuck's sake!
>mfw someone in one of these threads literally said crash bandicoot was bigger than Mario at some point
To be extremely generous, there was a small window in 1995, when it had been years and years since a mainline Mario games (Yoshi's Island doesn't count) and the PSX had building momentum and Crash Bandicoot 2 came out...
And then Super Mario 64 came out and rewrote how to make a 3D video games and both prior crash games instantly looked like amateur efforts.
>people posting characters that never has been on a nintendo console
>tfw we'll never have Alex Kidd and Mr Game & Watch duke it out
He really wasn't.
Crash sold extremely well, but he was never even close to Mario, and it only took 4 years for him to basically fall off the map because Sony was never actually willing to commit to him as a mascot.
I want to say Demi-fiend, but Nocturne was on the ps2. I want to say Hero or Aleph but only SMT fans know who they are. So I'd probably have to say either Demi-kid or Flynn
