you're forgetting that the character in fnv did not have a voice actor, and also had more than 4 options per conversation check

I honestly wish this game wasn't so short. There were a lot of things they could have improved on, but really, the main story can take less than a day to run through. And then once you're done with that, there's no side quests. There's no unique weapons, just shitty legendary weapons that get outclassed by actual legendary ones, and there no real rewards for the quests. I just wish this game had more substance, I honestly don't care about 50 different weapon and armor mods when only 2 of them are worth using.

It has more "Voiced dialog" because of the voiced protagonist, but the actual dialog choices are limited and linear.
It's literally just four flavors of the same sentence every time, and you always get the same response no matter what you say.

Not even exaggerating, sometimes "yes" and "no" actually receive the same reply.

But there aren't any side quests aside from radiant ones, seriously, I can think of maybe 20 that are non faction, and that's not a lot.
And if you play on Survival you'll find plenty of Legendary enemies, I have like over 400 fought right now, explosive combat shotgun, instigating plasma sniper, explosive 10 mm, and 2 shot gauss are my favorites

The freezing crap isn't very good compared to two-shot. I think the best legendary I found might be a wounding gauss rifle.

If all the "options" lead to the same response, not giving any options in the first place would be better. At character creation you should be given the option to be a sarcastic dick or not, and dialogue should play automatically.

The legendaries are horribly unbalanced, armors are generally just shit and weapons are either no better than normals or absurdly OP. Can't wait for a mod to fix that shit, just make them rarer and buff shit effects by a huge margin and nerf the most OP ones by a bit.

The "skill checks" only made me feel bad because they're actually just for SPECIAL and acted as a painful reminder that Fallout 4 has no skills and no skill checks. It hardly even has speech checks.

And it still has way less choices than Come Fly With Me, which those choices actually affecting the ending

Witcher 3 has over 450k.

One of the only things that I enjoyed some in Fallout 4 was the BoS not being white knights. They weren't as easy to stay with with the stuff with Paladin Danse but it helped me leave behind little Shaun in the main story.
