I read that Fallout 4 has over 100,000 lines of dialogue, is that true?
If so, doesn't that mean it has more lines than Fallout NV making it the new record holder for the most lines of dialogue in a game?
more lines of voiced dialogue does not mean more lines of dialogue
you're forgetting that the character in fnv did not have a voice actor, and also had more than 4 options per conversation check
I honestly wish this game wasn't so short. There were a lot of things they could have improved on, but really, the main story can take less than a day to run through. And then once you're done with that, there's no side quests. There's no unique weapons, just shitty legendary weapons that get outclassed by actual legendary ones, and there no real rewards for the quests. I just wish this game had more substance, I honestly don't care about 50 different weapon and armor mods when only 2 of them are worth using.
It has more "Voiced dialog" because of the voiced protagonist, but the actual dialog choices are limited and linear.
It's literally just four flavors of the same sentence every time, and you always get the same response no matter what you say.
Not even exaggerating, sometimes "yes" and "no" actually receive the same reply.
>There's quite a few actually
Not him but they're literally all just "Go to [Random location] and clear out the raiders"
But there aren't any side quests aside from radiant ones, seriously, I can think of maybe 20 that are non faction, and that's not a lot.
And if you play on Survival you'll find plenty of Legendary enemies, I have like over 400 fought right now, explosive combat shotgun, instigating plasma sniper, explosive 10 mm, and 2 shot gauss are my favorites
The game doesn't even let you say no, there's literally four "yes" replies.
I find legendary enemies all the time.
That's not the problem
the legendaries I have found are all crap.
including "exterminators" or "troubleshooters" -anything
The freezing crap isn't very good compared to two-shot. I think the best legendary I found might be a wounding gauss rifle.
If all the "options" lead to the same response, not giving any options in the first place would be better. At character creation you should be given the option to be a sarcastic dick or not, and dialogue should play automatically.
The legendaries are horribly unbalanced, armors are generally just shit and weapons are either no better than normals or absurdly OP. Can't wait for a mod to fix that shit, just make them rarer and buff shit effects by a huge margin and nerf the most OP ones by a bit.
Agreed but it was one of the better quest in the FO4.
>The only mission with skill checks
>Gives you an actual choice
>and extra animation
The second best one would probably be the silver shroud and only because it's a cool concept and you can RP a 1950's style hero.
The "skill checks" only made me feel bad because they're actually just for SPECIAL and acted as a painful reminder that Fallout 4 has no skills and no skill checks. It hardly even has speech checks.
And it still has way less choices than Come Fly With Me, which those choices actually affecting the ending
Wasn't even sure if it had actual choices just assumed that it did seeing as I got bored with the game a few days later I didn't bother to reload the mission and side with the scavengers. I figured they'd just betray me anyways. Did you think that you'd find the ghoul cult somewhere in the glowing sea, instead of the church of adam?
Oh look. An autistic anon. Lets all point and laugh.
You're right it is the first quest they made. Lazy motherfuckers man. I honestly think if you give me you a random guy from /tg/ and like 2 other randoms off /v/ the budget and technical staff that Bethesda was working with we could come up with more interesting fleshed out questlines.
you're posting on a sri lankan moving picture image board you mong, do anime reaction images trigger you?
Please anon, I don't want to acknowledge him. Just let me sit in my bubble where I'm just a psychopath, not a psychopath who also has a kid or something and displays either extreme or dull amounts of emotion whenever he'a brought up.
One of the only things that I enjoyed some in Fallout 4 was the BoS not being white knights. They weren't as easy to stay with with the stuff with Paladin Danse but it helped me leave behind little Shaun in the main story.
>over 111k lines
>only 4 dialogue choices
the only reason you talk to this person is you talked to nignog after he said i have a settlement that needs help
its not real dialogue...
I'm getting kind of sick of everyone wanting to suck Obsidian's dick.
Just wait for New Vegas 2 please and stop posting.
It's funny how Bethesdrones keep saying this, pretending that the main story and side quests aren't just as bad.
there's the typical weeb response.
anon i dont think you understand how these things work
>hey what should we put on the map's border
>lets slap a fucking fence on it that you can open and close but can't go through yeah thats good design
>There are actually people defending this shit
just because you pause the game and google every dialogue option before hand doesnt mean you dont have choices
>the main quest line??
i realize theres only 5 choices in it but still like its not zero
i bet no one killed the course instead of capturing it
