>that guy who has metal gear as his message tone
it's you isn't it /v/...
It's my text tone. Having it as a ring tone is retarded.
The Night Rider theme is my ringtone.
My boss would throw a tantrum every time it went off "Because Night Rider is the reason MacGyver got canceled" or something.
every time a message gets through
Nah I have the imperial star destroyer alarm as my ringtone.
And James Hetfield saying "OOOoooo YEAH-HEAH" as my text tone.
> Notification tone is Virgil's chime from Halo: ODST
> Brony roommate hears it
> Asks where I got it
> "It's just a ringtone, dude"
> Next day
> His entire phone is making that noise constantly
> He made it his email notification
> Refuses to change the tone or put phone on silent
> He subscribes to a lot of newsletters
I could change mine to avoid confusion, but I would rather get raped by a thousand horsecocks than let that ponyfucker have the satisfaction of winning.
>> His entire phone is making that noise constantly
>> He made it his email notification
Why do faggots do this?
Give different features different tones for fucks sake.
The worst is when people use a notification sound as a fucking ring tone.
I'm planning to use "Computer Updated" from Quake 2. Is that okay with you guys? 'Cause I have to do what random people on the internet thinks is cool instead of what I actually want.
haha no way my text sound is
the newtype flash
>mfw people have sound notifications of any kind on their phone near me
>mfw people have a special snowflake spacephone near me
>Oh look at me I have a flip phone with the stock ringtone.
Ok grandpa, time to take your crazy medicine.
The Metal Gear General on /vg/ has a onedrive link. Just look around here.
Any cool vidya tune that's like 1 second long for Messages?
Just listen through Final Fantasy sounds until something catches your ear. Dead franchise that nobody knows so you don't have to worry about power level.
That WOO sound when Mario hits the bar in Super Mario World would probably be pretty ear catching.
The WOO is pretty subtle. You wouldn't recognize it unless you were hearing for it.
The turn ready sound from the SNES FF games would be subtle, they haven't made that sound in over a decade.
My dad had it for a while, he played the first two and loved them. By the time the third one was out he had stopped playing vidya tho.
I never actually finished MGS2, but I watched him beat Dr. Octopus on the roof while Snake was naked(?)
>Spend years using alert tone as message sound
>Go play MGS again
>Don't hear any alert tones because I'm not a scrub
I think that's when he started his masters degree so he was always busy with studies and work I guess. Or maybe he felt he was too old for that already? Though he must have been 26 or 27 at the time, I dont really now when MGS2 came out
And yes he had me young, at 18
>tfw changed my ringtone for the 20th anniv
Woah thanks for these.
>your enemy is calling
These are pretty detailed.
My phone is usually on my desk next to my computer, which is where I always am when I'm at home. The sound of metal vibrating against wood is more than loud enough for me to be alerted that I got a message.
How else are you going to be notified about the hottest deals anon?
>Sol's Xrd theme for call tone
>CoinScrub play quote for text tone
I kinda wanna change the text tone to match my call tone, but I never have my phone off vibrate so I can't be bothered to get a new one.
Get on my level senpai.
>Not having the Quake 3 hitsound for notifications
The only ringtone i need.
Honestly I don't remember ever felling the need to broadcast things that I like for random people with something simple as a fucking ring sound, I just can't relate to that
