I kept taking the train between Core City, the University, and Fort Apogee because I'm lazy, but I finally went wandering through the tunnels and they are literally like 2 screens apart.
Those trains would be completely useless if half my inventory wasn't charons.

Where the hell do I find the Bakers in that quest Vera gives you? I did the Rail Crossing quest with the faceless and nobody there knew. I was in Core City and the barkeep didn't know.

Its benefits scale with the amount of shots you can take per turn.

So it's a must for pistols/SMGs, pretty good on ARs, ans pretty much useless for snipers.

The answer is kinda spoilery. But you can collect plenty of information about them through several sources, and can even report in the quest before fully solving it. Just keep asking around and explore. If certain conditions are met, you can fully solve it by about the end of the game.

Anyone completed the free drones questline? they sending me on a solo mission to destroy some elevator in some protectorate lab.

Problem is I have zero stealth, so I tried going in guns blazing but got my ass handed to me by the army and some mecha-robo that shows up.

There any trick to this quest or should I just try getting gud?

I remember one anon talking about fighting the CAU during the Free Drones questline, something that never happened to me. Have I missed a quest, or did he just storm Fort Apogee for shits and giggles or something?

I picked them off one by one. Doesn't really require much stealth, just a silent way to kill. Pick up a crossbow if you can't into psi.

Am I the only one bothered by the Cloaking device being an expensive black cloth on a timer? There are so many ways to increase stealth with gear. It would make a lot more sense if it granted invisibility against enemies with true sight instead. That would justify the relatively high energy consumption, and would fill a niche that can be useful for primarily stealth characters who right now only have vents if they want to avoid bots.

It's expensive black cloth on a timer and on steroids though.

Crafted one can get you almost +100 stealth. Pretty useful for sneaking very close to someone or to buff Snipe damage.

What is a good monk setup, no psi? Crowd control seems like a must, but individual targets would probably go down easily

I'm playing a psi monk right now and I don't think anything would be a good as psi.
You could probably just get throwing for crowd control and crafting skills to make good armor fast.
Also ninja tabi and Rathound king's armor for movement points.
