>“We decided to take the full leap and publish HITMAN as a truly episodic game experience, part of that decision is for that little bit of extra time to ensure every location we release is at the quality level fitting for a HITMAN game. But the main driving reason is that this will allow us to create a living game that will expand and evolve over time and establish a foundation for the future – this is the first game in a storyline which will continue and expand with future Hitman games.”
Why would you fucking do this?
Why is Hitman IP being raped like this?
He doesn't deserve this shit.
>let Square ram their cock into them (episodically)
because it's a reasonable thing to do. I think they should ditch the story and other bollocks nd just make big sandbox missions with interesting ways to kill your target and then add more levels and hits.
a-at least the gameplay looks better this time guys
So this is it huh?
They are going to make what looks like a great Hitman game only to fuck it up and stumble at the finish line? Really square? This is what you are going to do? Take a great looking game and hamfist in this stupid fucking model that will probably make the game tank hard as fuck?
I'm going to wait for all of the episodic content to come out before I buy it but I'm actually pretty excited. If they're putting a bunch of polish into each level individually and not just making a few good ones and a few rushed ones then it should be great.
Dude, it's going to feel nice. And if they time it right, I'll get bored just about right when the new part comes out!
Not sure if real, but fuck it, I'm not buying any extra shit. I'll buy the game and play the free stuff.
I bet Tore did this.
How fucking hard can it be to not totally fuck up a Hitman game, Jesus fucking Christ.
>47 walking right in and getting into a firefight in a crowded place with security and surveillance
>Instead of just killing who is shooting at him he shoots the gun and turns his back on the guy allowing himself to be tackled onto a fucking train
Is this what being triggered feels like?
>Alternatively, players can buy the Full Experience up front for $60. This includes all of this year’s content as it’s released, and guarantees them not to miss any live or bonus content.
So, basically the regular game then? I think this is getting blown out of proportion.
It is, that's the point. Either you get access without a disc and then wait for them to upload more, or you wait until last mission is done and get a DVD so that you can cry on it when everyone says what their favourite mission was.
I can't stand the fucking contracts mode they keep shilling.
Yay, set some random NPC in a level as a target - whoop-dee-fucking-doo.
>full experience for $60
Yeah that's called buying a game.
You fags don't understand. You pay 60$ and get the whole game, except they don't have all levels finished right now. Which is why they're taking more time to ensure every level is good, and you get it when they finish it
>Buy this thing now
>Good, now we're going to send you pieces of it over the course of a year
>Also it might take more than a year because the pieces might be late or hell they might not even show up at all
>Which is why they're taking more time to ensure every level is good, and you get it when they finish it
Uh huh. I'm sure they are going to have a full dev working on polishing those levels after sales have tapered of in a few months, and there is little more profit to be made.
>free Hitman movie marketing
Why would you even want to associate yourself with that piece of shit. I also think everyone forgot about that abomination before it even released.
So that means when they don't make as much money as they thought they would, they can just cancel production and release whatever half-ass shit they were working on.
On the flip side, if they make tons of money then they can drag it on for years ala World of WarCraft.
So just buy it when they're done making episodes and gets discounted, that's what I'm going to do. I'm not in a rush to dive head first into a Hitman game after Absolution.
you faggots bitched and moaned about absolution being too linear?
well there you go, have another empty world to fulfill your autistic needs
Is this news? I thought this was the plan from the very beginning. At least, that's the way their retarded marketing made it seem.
>hey square doesn't trust this to be a profitable series anymore and everyone, fans and newcomers alike, hated the last game, so we're on a bit of short leash
>introducing hitman absolution 2: pay as you go edition
All the previews and leaks made this look like the same Absolution dogshit most people expected.
>But the main driving reason is that this will allow us to create a living game that will expand and evolve over time and establish a foundation for the future
Yea we already had this, its called "Hitman"
All you guys need to fucking do is add more levels to blood money with better graphics and blam, Hitman 6
>fired 2 shots
>reloads an entire mag
I am not even remotely /k/ and this triggers me
That reminds me, I need to finish the old games. I love the concept, but so far the series has left me wanting. The first one was really annoying with its "Fuck up and you start all over" thing. I don't mind being punished for failure, but as long and difficult as some of the levels were, that was a bit much. The second game improved on every failing from the first game, but created new problems, like disguises sometimes just not working and the run key doubling as a suicide key.
Don't blame yourself, I have to look through that webm twice to notice something that bad.
Those guys in charge of editing the hitman movie trailer really deserves a raise, because I honestly thought it looked kinda faithful to the original when I first saw it.
I haven't heard much about Contracts aside that people complained about rehashing, but Blood Money I've heard great things about, so I'm definitely looking forward to it. When it came out I remember there being a lot of Hitman 2 vs Blood Money arguments, but they seem to have died down.
I haven't played the first 2 games but I think the triad levels are rehashed in contracts, the original levels is very good and contracts IMO is probably the most atmospheric game in the series.
If you go in BM after 1 and 2 you will be surprised how overpowered the disguises are compare to the older games, but it's still pretty fucking good at everything else.
Another franchise down the shitter, another title for me to pirate.
Contracts basically just remade some of the best levels from the first game, which is a good thing. Worst thing about it is that it's short and that some of the last levels are a bit weak and the game ends abruptly.
BM is undisputedly god tier aside from the AI being a bit quirky and some bugs. Remember this is something that's meant to be replayed and experimented with.
this fucking company jesus fucking christ
just make dude sex garbage already so I can kill myself
The thing is, I can understand why Life is Strange is episodic; it has the same "gameplay" and style of a Tell Tale game, which doesn't make it good, but at least you understand why would you want to release a game like this (more profit). But a JRPG is not meant to be an episodic genre, not at all.
It feels like that Katamari game (can't remember the name) with 4 secret levels on the disc that you have to pay for, it makes no sense at all.
