I have a question.. Do you guys thing that these beautiful creatures could swallow a 5'9 relatively skinny male whole? I wouldn't struggle so you don't have to account for any resistance when you answer.

Also do we have any information on their reproductive organs? How intelligent are they? Is the snek able to learn human language? Does it have the necessary organs to speak?

But the most important question is: Is she able to dislocate her jaw enough to let me rest in her belly, while she lies naked on the bed carresing her newly enlarged stomach after a long sensual session of sex where I start around her hips and work my way up towards her perky scaly breasts before carefully kissing her and letting her swallow me whole.

Zombies are so slow that killing them before they get to you isn't exactly a problem, and so dumb that not running into your fire and instead waiting to turn into a Chryssalid doesn't occur to them. I didn't see a single zombie survive the three turns they take to pop during my first playthrough.

Can psychic abilities misfire under certain circumstances? Are psychic soldiers more vulnerable to certain things?
>uh no, a few psychic abilities can miss based on enemies' will like the hadoken, but most of them are guaranteed damage.
>also no, psychic soldiers don't have any weakness besides costing a lot
>no, psychic soldiers don't explode into purple shit on death they just die like everyone else

What abilities are there?
>psychic hadoken thing is 4-6 guaranteed damage that can't miss
>psychic lance is a line across the map that penetrates enemies for gauranteed damage, it can't miss
>blah blah "dominate" is a kind of mind control that you can only use once per mission, but it stays forever

How is the multiplayer?
>the multiplayer is exactly the same as Enemy Within (this comment probably saddened me the most)

>impossible difficulty
>proceeds to run his most expensive unit with 2hp left into half-cover and take a 49% shot for no reason
>scums the game multiple times with psychic shit

I like this in games. I like it a lot. It's why I enjoyed Shadow of Mordor so much.
>>
>>323940793
There are like fifteen different PSI abilities, and most of them are definitely not just "deal damage". Dominate is cool as fuck, it basically gives you an alien squad mate.
The balance in that stream was fucked from the start because the guy had been leveling his units in easy mode and cheated the psi soldiers.
And who gives a fuck about multiplayer?
>>
>>323940793
Are those the only psychic abilities? Seems very few compared to how many regular classes get.
>>
>>323941221
I think that if the player should be able to do any psychic attacks, the AI should be able to do the same.
>>
>>323941351
Pectiods get mind control on day one.
>>
>>323941329
There are as many psi abilities as any other class has abilities. The difference is that a psion can actually get all of those abilities, they're not mutually exclusive. Training them takes time, though.
>>
>>323941620
Sounds like they could get OP by the end game.
>>
>>323941895
Not like they weren't in the other games.
>>
>>323941895
Psi Ops are the only reason you won the first game, so they may be a little more powerful on purpose. Though you won't want a squad of them.

Robits will fuck u up.
>>
>>323941895
I'm pretty much expecting to become OP in the endgame anyway. Has happened in every XCOM so far.

XCOM multiplayer was absolutely brilliant when it worked, but literally 2 out of ever 3 matches you played would get glitched out some way. Worst multiplayer netcode I've ever seen in any game in my life, and it's a fucking turn-based strategy...

>>323941324
I'm just worried that there are no anti-psychic attacks that we know of, such as "if you fail a psychic attack against someone wearing this helmet you get stunned" or something, and that these attack can NEVER miss, let alone spectacularly misfire in some way. Psy-crutch incoming, people won't even have to savescum anymore.

>>323942101
There's a good chance that there will be anti-robot psychic attacks beyond the already existing DEAL 6-9 GUARANTEED DAMAGE IN A STRAIGHT LINE PENETRATING ALL ENEMIES
>>
>>323942317
Unless that penetrates armor, it's a shitty anti-robot attack.

>>
Are MEC units in?
>>
>>323942856
That's what I'm worried about. Psi-attacks completely and utterly dominated the EU and EW multiplayer despite being a percentage based hit.

I mean, ever fucking melee attacks have a chance to miss in XCOM2. Why is there so much guaranteed psi-shit.
>>
>>323942898
you mean the piece of shit, waste of paper/bits tie-in garbage that could ever have existed?
>>
>>323943216
Oh, you're worried about multiplayer balance.

Ya, it's a little screwy. Just play with friends and go the old 'Gentleman's Agreement" route. That's what I did with EW.
>>
>>323943216
psi-attacks hit chance is based on will(can't remember for sure) and usually psi-soldiers have a high will.
i also think that if you have a lower will, then you're easier to hit.
>>
>>323943182
Advent uses them, XCOM can't.
They've got a better version of the grenade launcher and an Advent version of the railgun, and some armor too, but you can hack them.
They even use the same animations as EW.
>>
>>323943510
I bet there are ways to steal/adapt the suits in the late game that just haven't been shown yet.
>>
>>323943619
IIRC Firaxis said there's no way for XCOM to use MECs - that's what the EXO suits are for - but I don't hold them to that.

Moar Xcom. Good. 3 final questions:
Should I really be worried about mind control, most times the sectoids commanders are in the final room where I can rekt them easy
How in the actual fuck do you fight the giant robot thing, I forgot what it's called
Can you capture the giant robot thing or Cyberdiscs for interrogation

>DLC of a DLC

>>
>>323943791
I haven't been following the news for this but removing the coolest shit from EW is disappointing.

If the game is good I'd shell out the cash for a MEC DLC. I always wanted more customization/options for them in EW and now they're just gone. Kinda killed my hype.
>>
>>323944263
MECs were never cool.

They're too powerful to be considered XCOM since they're supposed to be the underdogs.
>>
>>323940072
Seriously, why is rule 69 Killer Queen here?
>>
I hope they thought more about weapons in this one. In the first game there was a linear path to the best weapons in the game and that was pretty much it, once you got the best weapons, there wasn't any reason to use the other ones.
This was sadly true too with the mecs, there was one build that just was better than all others.
It would be cool if the weapons could be upgraded to be better and it wouldn't matter what type of weapon they were, they could still become the ones you would use.
>>
>>323944514
>MECs were never cool.
leave.
>>
>>323935675
Stop posting this shit faggot
>>
>>323944263
EXO suits are essentially the new MECs even if they look like fancy regular armor at this point, but that's just because they haven't shown much of them, or practically anything of high-level tech.
That aside, if you just like MECs for cool shit, there's plenty of other NEW cool shit in the game, and if you liked them because they were busted and OP, then so is every class now. Hell, a lot of the MEC's unique abilities - grenade launcher, EMP, melee - are divvied up among the standard classes.
Watch the Eurogamer playthrough or skim total ass cancer's video if you want to get hype again.

But that's wrong faggot.

Even if you had M.E.C.'s in your soldier roster and used them, they were not invincible.

Even when they were quite powerful, they'd still be raped by Sectopods, Chryssalids, Ethereals and pretty much every ayy.

What the fuck does this even mean.

Are you implying XCOM has never been RNG centric? The entire point of the game's tactical level is to maximizing your hit changes while minimizing the AI's opportunities to murder you.

Just because gravity has become a thing doesn't make it any more RNG based.
>>
>>323948370
And that's one of the things that balance them out.

M.E.C.s are powerful, and even more so depending on the class from which they were converted, the equipment, the skills they get while leveling up and so on.

Yet the fact that upgrading a M.E.C. suit costs a lot Meld-wise and the fact they cannot benefit from cover balances out their OP potential.
>>
>>323930524
Its still not nearly as bad as OG X-COM cryssies

I mean those motherfuckers would straight up remove your soldier if they got close. At least with XCOMEU and XCOM2 you can survive the melee attack especially when you're dressed up in power armor, but no such luck in original.

It's because 1 bad grenade can turn your whole squad into mush if they're elevated. So that means stay on the ground or leave it to RNG.

>>

Oh please.

You could level the whole map if it meant to kill that one Sectoid.

Also the Member Countries allowed you this because in order to fight the alien, every single thing is acceptable.

XCOM 2 will be the same, so to quote Sergeant Tarkus of the Blood Ravens Space Marines: "USE A GRENADE!!"

>>
>>323949328
Mutons, Heavy Floaters, or Sectopods could turn your entire squad into mush by blowing your squad's cover. Again, RNG has always been at play.

The MECs were probably designed to stop players from doing nothing but sticking to the roofs and shitting on everything. You can either drop the MEC as soon as possible, or just stay off the high ground until you can kill it.

Besides, if it's anything like the Sectopod's AoE attack in EU/EW, they'll only use it when your squad is bunched up. They might opt to take potshots instead if you keep distance.

Explosives and shredder rounds destroy armour. It's something you always have to take into account and something that makes enemies actually scary.

>>
>>323951919
I question why you wouldn't try and build either of those weapons/ammo types. They're now a necessary part of the game.
>>
>>323951919

you can still kill armored enemies

it'll just be really fucking hard when you're pinging them for 2-3 damage
>>
>>323952091
That wasn't really the scenario i was thinking of. What if your heavy dies during a mission and nobody else has explosives?
>>
>>323952231
Well you're gonna have to suck it up.
>>
>>323952231

it's not really as huge of an issue as you think it is; damage numbers in general are a lot higher

armored enemies are still perfectly killable without shredding armor, but just requires more focusing down
>>
>>323952337
that doesn't answer my initiate question tho.
if something has higher armor than the damage i can do with a now explosive weapon will it take any damage at all? and if not how will i even be able to kill it?
>>
>>323952458
No it won't but that's unlikely to impossible. Excluding the Sectopod no enemy has more than 2 armor, and the weapons roll between 3-5 on average.
>>
>>323952458

yes, you will deal 0 damage if you deal less damage than the armor count, but the armor values aren't as high as you think

the highest armor value i've seen on an enemy was 4 and that was on a sectopod equivalent death tank. some of the tougher soldiers only have 1 armor point and even the robot soldiers have 2 armors

the base assault rifle deals 3-5 damage and by the time you're fighting sectopods you will have weapons which deal much higher damage
>>
>>323952625

Likely changed in today's stream for balance reasons. The psi-soldiers were acquired much earlier than intended in that game.

i know the Grenadier has a skill which gives him one point of armor and 66% explosive resistance at the very least

it's inevitable that there will be gear that will give you armor

You could pretty much wipe out ALL cover in XCOM, including making cars explode and kill the aliens taking cover behind them.
