Welcome, anon, to the Carnevil thread!
Better not shitpost, or YOU'LL WIND UP DEAD
jesus christ how did i not realize his name until now. thats hilarious. also that last fucking blimp level was so fucking cheap. didnt matter how good you were you'd take damage.
>see some little kid who is like 5 or 6 playing the game while his mom watches
>mom tells kid to move aside so I can have a turn
>i tell her its fine and that he can play with me
>co-op the game with this little 6 year old kid
That was during a time when arcades were dying and you'd hardly see anyone playing, let alone 2 strangers playing together.
I miss arcades. There were few things better than fighting or cooping with strangers and being able to see their face. I wish arcades would make a come back. Couch coop and arcades are forever dead now.
Being a brit-fag, the only arcades were on the coast lines.
It sucked because most good arcade machines where often modded to only accept the arcade venders shitty tokens.
I never did get that Poliwhirl back pack for 50 tokens.
Local multiplayer is making a revival.
There are a lot of really great indie local multiplayer games. You never hear about them though because fags on steam buy them not reading that they are local multiplayer only and then give a bad review.
Also, I'm not sure if you near a large city but if you do I would look up local videogame organisations. I live an hour from Toronto and theres one that has meetups where they put local indie games into arcade cabinets and you meet up and play them and once a year they rent out a large venue and everyone just plays a bunch of games together and has a great time. On the downside its full of hipsters, but on the bright side its lacking the obnoxious autists you'd get at a convention.
Boring and 2ez. At least post a challenge.
While I love arcades, this is true. And it got worse by owners increasing each credit to a fucking dollar.
Its actually pretty boring once that gimmick and the jump scares get old and become predictable after the first level.
Boss fights in let's go jungle are hype as fuck nigga
it's not the hardest game but it isn't a cakewalk straight through, the parts where you need to use a slingshot or the paddles weren't ez.
>not playing Ocean Hunter 2.0
The best carnevil is clearly Princess Serenity.
As per the carnevil thread tradition, I will dump what concept art I have if people want.
>Posts my gif
That's a weird feeling. I'll make a better version one day.
>ending is just the guy replaying the game that almost kills him
I remember walking by the cabinet all the fucking time in the bowling ally in my hometown all the fucking time. I didnt actually play it until I was older, but when I recently went back for my cousins birthday it was gone. damn shame.
holy shit this thing gave me the creeps. I would just sit there and watch the demo like a tard because I thought it was so freaky and weird.
those fucking leech things that would jump on the screen and leave like a persons face imprint on it, and the zombie elfs.
They don't get named in the game, but these guys are called Guilloteens.
I don't think they were going for a proper version of Krampus, just a bad Santa kind of thing. He does at least speak some German though.
Some person on deviantart had a download zip file for it. I think it came from the old facebook page.
Not this picture of Carnie though, I got it from a magazine scan.
>Playdium is shit but only arcade near by used to have Initial D game
>went last year
>Initial d is gone
Hell yea. Bar downtown has this and one of the bartenders is a bro and will put a shit ton of free credits on the machine and the Area 51/Maximum Force one when I go
very sure, anon.
Also, look at the weird ears on the carnival's entrace door face, it's the same as the guilloteen here >>323925569
Sorry this one is really shit, the picture I scanned it from was tiny. The top half of the art seems to be the same as that painting of Evil Marie in the Haunted House though.
That's it for concept art. There's way too many character posters to survive the thread though. Is the archive back yet, I did a dump of them a while back.
>you will never have an original print of these posters
That massive one on ebay got sold last year. Too bad the guy wouldn't ship it outside its frame so its shipping was ridiculous. I really like the detail of the winged skull on the tombstone in the poster is the same one that's on top of the cemetery gates in the game's intro.
drawn and quarters, am I right?... well she was impaled, but I don't need to tell you guys wassup
