That's mostly lag. In low-ping/near LAN it's not that bad.

That said, the amount of hackers I've ran into today is pretty hilarious. That and Infiltrator is straight up trash in my hands. The stun shotgun is shit and any time I attempt to flank I'm shot by people that I have no heads up on since the scouts won't actually... spot.

Binocs. But they changed the spot speed on PC it seems. On consoles even Infiltrators seem to get spots quickly and they're the slowest to get 100%.

Basically if you're a scout you shouldn't be running around like a headless chicken like the other two classes. Your Enemy Locators will auto-spot in a certain area (so you can spam them if you want to headless chicken but don't die too much). But in general for that class, you hang back, camp somewhere (with plushies generally) and pull out the binocs and see anyone you can find and hold it for like 1.5 seconds to get the mark.

I really can't find a groove for Infiltrator that isn't "get shot from all over the map and die when attempting to flank like everyone else".

It gives your team a heads up on enemy positions, highlights them for "ten seconds" (unless they use a box) and gives you an assist bonus if they're killed by someone that's not you.

It's basically a free +100 if you're team is killing the folks you mark while they get +100-200 based on headshots and the kill.

I'm not sure how interrogation works.

One time I interrogated one dude and it revealed pretty much the entire team's location and it swinged the entire game in our favor and got us the win.

But I've interrogated three people since then, and it seems they locate themselves and maybe one more person at most.

What decides this? Is it random?

I don't know about the other classes so I can't say if they're better or worse, but I really enjoy playing as the Infiltrator and am easily in the Top 2 of my team.

I go fully non-lethal too, which is completely optional. You can go full lethal and use the camouflage to fuck shit up, which is probably more effective, but I enjoy getting next to people, cqcing them, possibly interrogating them, and then fultoning them away. There's no better feeling.

Played all four MGO games before this to varying excess. 3, 4, PO and PW.

That there is no post-damage invulnerability after every shot that lands (as it was in MGS3, MGS4 and Portable Ops) alone is enough to make this the best by far.

All of the available maps in this beta have varying uneven terrain almost everywhere rather than the mostly flat levels of the previous games, and gun handling is a lot more nuanced with slight sway when sighted and inaccuracy when moving, eliminating the strafing-headshot gameplay of the previous MGOs.

Hearing all the console players complaints and now getting to play it, it makes sense that CQC and shotguns would rule the skies. But with the absolute camera movement of a mouse, automatics have been dealing with shotgunners quite effectively and snipers can land long range headshots without having to fight any twitchy acceleration.

This feels great on PC, like it was made to be a PC game. The not-flat maps, the minute degrees of inaccuracy that are not likely to be managed manually with a thumbstick, and the very swift mobility that characters have and that aiming, movement and actions can be bound in a way that everything is in reach without removing your fingertips from anything critical (compared to a console controller where you'd have to do a clumsy Claw or take your thumb off of a stick to press face buttons) were probably a nightmare for console players.

The only annoyance is how sloppy CQC is. But it's always been bad in every MGO.

Protip if you're attached to thin cover such as the metal railings in the africa map, and you turn from left to right with the sniper rifle on your back, the rifle will clip through the cover briefly revealing your position to observers.

I played it for a bit on PS4, it's way too fast paced and COD like for my taste.

Although if you play 2v2 or 3v3 it can get pretty intense when people actually try to sneak.

If I don't see anyone right next to a knocked out person, I'll fulton them myself, and I'd rather people do the same for my knockouts. It's way more safe than taking a second to look around for the guy who knocked him out, and figuring out if he died, knocked him out at range, or is just right off screen.

Feels pretty accurate. I was having fun with it, but I feel like just after a few hours like i've seen it all, and it's kind of boring. Level 19 Enforcer, and i'm just not really diggin' it.

Only enjoyable mode for me as well is Cloak and Dagger. The other two kind of feel like CoD modes rather than what I would expect from Metal Gear.
