>tfw too stupid to build a gaming computer and deal with the hardware and software problems that will arise
>want to build a gaming PC just to play free MMOs I'll probably get bored with in month
Just a buy prebuilt.
Honestly building a computer is overly complicated and I bet most of /v/ wouldn't know anything about it.
I spent around $3500 for mine and it works really well. I get around 80 fps on CSGO and everything works well
So that's why consolefags prefer consoles...
>buying a computer that has had someone's elses porn on it.
I built my first computer last month.
I knew absolutely fucking nothing about hardware when I started.
I ran into a few issues installing and updating Windows, as well as getting some older games running, but they were all manageable.
It's literally legos. If you get stuck google and your mobo manual are your friends.
Stop being a faggot.
There are directions online and sites to make sure you build everything right. If you're feeling uncomfortable, watch some videos of an assembly until you feel good enough to make an order.
>tfw don't own a computer because they confuse me
There are plenty of guide/videos online. You could find all this stuff in about 1-2 hours of research. I know you're trying really hard to make the "consoles>PC" shitpost but it's not that hard
>too stupid to build a gaming computer
You'd have to be literally retarded for that. Sounds more like you're just too goddamn lazy
>too stupid to build a gaming computer
How in the fuck is that even a thing? The only step that may seem complicated is putting in the wires for the power, reset, and etc. Everything else falls in place like legos
congrats you are more dumb that a 5 yr old girl
>put disc in
>buy multiple parts that cost $1000 for a decent build
>have to manually put together all the components
>you have to replace all your parts every 1.5 years as the graphics cards become worse over time and run worse
>have to install a video game license rental service like Steam
>have to play $60 for recently released games but have no benefits as physical copy
>there are constant updates for games slowing down the chance of playing the game
>try to play some indie games but most are uninspired rip offs of older SNES games I played
>can't let my friends borrow my games without jumping though huge obsoletes and even then we can't play each others games if the other is playing a different game at the time
>try to play older games from my childhood on N64 and PS2
>try to plug in my controller to use for more comfortablility but it requires multiple drivers and constantly rebind the controls every time I switch games
>download emulator for them but they take a while to get the right settings and even then the games run poorly and are missing textures and other graphical glitches
>try to play older PC I heard from others but the run into compatibility problems and constantly crashes when tried to play
>try to play a fun looking multiplayer game but the game is filled with hackers and childern and young teens constantly spouting memes
>try to play split screen with my friends but hardly any games supports split screen and is a hassle to set up and everyone has to sit really close together cause of wired controllers
>try to set up my PC to my TV for larger screen but my PC is large and won't fit properfully close to my TV and have to put in weird angle
>it won't support wireless controller so have to be wired 2 feet away from TV and have to sit on the uncomfortable floor and not my couch
>start playing less and less and go on /v/ and shitpost more about games even ones I never even played
What is the point of PC gaming?
All the connectors are designed to only fit in the right spots. You literally cannot fuck it up if you have even a single brain cells worth of common sense.
If you are really so fucking stupid as to not plug a heatsink/fans power connector into the bit that says CPU FAN then there is no hope for you, and you should immediately anhero. And take your children (if any) with you, the most noble thing you could do is insure that your polluted, corrupted, garbage genes do not remain on this world.
>buy into the "build a pc" meme
>outside the box build works as planned
>put everything into the case
>won't start up
I have a lot of regrets in my life.
>tfw too smart to build a shitty computer that will give way to hardware and software problems down the line
I'm on mobile so the link might not work
>friends too stupid to build comp
>charge them 100 dollars to build it for them
Are you really this stupid?
You put it together, plug in the usb or insert the install disc to the OS of your choice, and press the fucking on button.
I do not understand how someone can be so stupid.
>decide to try out PC gaming because wynaut
>buy game off steam
>click on game to start playing
>game doesn't work
>don't feel like bothering to play games on PC
It is though. I figured out which piece/connector goes where based entirely on the shape despite never even looking inside a computer before.
No one told me building a pc was the easiest thing in the world. The hardest part was picking out the parts.
>Download a game from Steam, GOG, torrent tracker
>Have to buy a TV
>Have to charge controllers
>Have to buy a couch
>Have to go to gamestop to buy a game--wtf why can't i do it from home?
>Have to pay a tax to get online
>Have to download 40 updates before I can play online
>Have to buy a TV
>Games still play at 25 FPS
You know there are nosteam cracks for the singleplayer portion of just about every single game on steam right?
You know that even for the multiplayer games they are almost always released off of steam as well, right?
You know the only way you get banned on steam is if you do something stupid like aimbot in competitive CS matches or use the system for money laundering, right?
I still havent replaced my stock Intel cooler because I'm afraid of fucking something up with the install of a new one, especially because I dont want to remove my motherboard from the tower to do it, I'm afraid I'll use too little or too much thermal paste, I'm afraid of static electricity and dont know how if just touching the metal case while not wearing socks with the PC on the wood floor, if thats enough because I'm really afraid of damaging a component and then I can say goodbye because I dont have the spare money to replace it.
Building and maintaining your own PC is a lot more stressful to a poorfag because you fuck something up and then you know you cant replace it for a long while, and you dread touching your inner PC parts again even when removing dust because you get worried about static electricity fucking your parts up, touching the wrong place on your mobo etc...
Luckily I managed to bring my temps down by reducing the ridiculous 3.60x overclock on my i5 3470 to 3.30x which brought gaming temps on full load down from 70c to 59-60c.
god damn, how do you expect to go through life
>fucking carfags said driving was easy I just own a bike because its simple
>what's a gas pedal even do I'm not a genius like you guys
>inb4 shitty cable management
Here's my PC I built for $700. I'm not a poorfag, so I can actually afford to play games on something that isn't filth. Also pirated most of my games and plan to continue doing so, so the savings will be far greater than if I bought all the games for a PoorStation.
>PNY GTX 970
>MSI H81I Motherboard
>EVGA Hadron Air
> 2TB Hard Drive
>there are people that can't even follow simple directions for their own "hobby"
You would need a tower of Legos the size of Mt. Everest or something to cause enough pressure to deform and squeeze a single LEGOs brick, imagine if we made computer towers like that
What temps you get with that shitty ass stock cooler on full load? Playing vidya on high graphics etc
I get 70-73 if I OC my CPU but otherwise 58-61 a little bit above stock ratio and 30-50 when just browsing internet
I made a retard tutorial for OP and anyone else who wants it
I'll answer any retarded questions
I did a couple stupid things when building my computer. I forgot to put in the I/O shield first, and when I screwed in the mobo wrong. I panicked over how to connect different wires in the case to the mobo, and where to connect the fans.
Honestly though even if you do stupid shit like me you will end up fine. It took me much longer to build than a normal person but I never fucked up any pieces even with all my mistakes. Just don't do anything that could obviously fuck up a part.
>too stupid to build a computer
>gets recommended to buy a laptop or pre-built
How about stop being retarded?
