Is this some sort of MGS3 ladder section? I've been walking up these stairs for 3 minutes and nothing new. Do I just need to keep going?
first, build up 5 times the speed of light in speed
next, jump 4 parallel universes to the north
there you have it
by remembering the King Bob-omb fight
>Me and a friend spent a whole hour going up those stairs as a kid
Yeah pretty much, just keep running until you here the Spaghetti Eater theme slowly fade in, then you know you're close.
If you try to go in there without enough stars it literally tells you the steps are infinite. Are you retarded?
How were you supposed to know what to do with the key?
You have to plug the controller? WAOOOOOOOOOOOOW. The game never said that!
>getting double reverse irony baited
How did you get to the castle? I'm stuck watching Mario's face!
I was legit mad that people were complimenting the guy. What a colossal waste of time. At least if you do something pointless like watch american football you don't seem like an outcast in normie conversation
There is literally nothing to gain by not pressing the a button
>be me at around 7
>get the first key
>go to the upper floor door
>key won't work
100% mad. Good thing I found the actual door it was supposed to go to.
Holy shit, I've been fighting these guys for days and can't win. The fuck is wrong with this game?
How the hell am I supposed to beat these guys? I can't hurt them at all!
>mfw i was in that thread
remember, you need to build up speed for 12 hours first
and don't fuck up the approach, if you do you'll be sent into the void and become misaligned
It ends there.
Next time use a picture that doesn't explain the weakness, lol.
I'm studying business. Computer Science is perhaps the single most saturated major on Earth right now.
He fucking TASd it retard, he didn't leave his console running for 13 hours
Trying to get stars with low A presses is just a self-made puzzle that can be interesting to try to complete.
That float to int parallel universe shit is rad, and he pieced it all together because he thought people might enjoy seeing all these glitches come together to achieve something that would otherwise be thought completely impossible
What's the deal with video games and moving backwards to achieve ridiculous speeds?
I guess you could say it's a link to the past
one thing that's always creeped me out in videogames
is the out of bounds part of a map actually infinite?
like does it literally go on forever and ever?
is it like its own infinite universe just digitally?
It's better to think of it as "Where is my character" rather than "How big is the world"
When your character falls through the ground or whatever and starts falling forever, the player can only fall as far as the hardware memory can store/track the players XYZ value (unless the programmers have put in some code to stop this and just respawn you which would be the more sensible thing)
Play any source game and use noclip to get out of bounds. Once you pass the skybox it's just going through nothing but blackness that's not registered. In Pokemon Diamond/Pearl I remember walking out of the map with Action Replay and it just being registered as an unknown zone and playing generic route music.
for me the creepiest part is suddenly coming into a portion of the map unexpectedly, or when stretched polygons flash all over before you or obscure your vision
also check this out http://brokendimension.com
it uses similar creepy glitch aesthetics
there's a (tech) demo posted on the steam greenlight forums for this game, too
You didn't even need to use AR to get out of bounds in D/P, you could actually ride the bike back and forth over a loading zone fast enough to break the game and go out of bounds. If you saved and loaded in the right place out in the void, you could appear anywhere on the map. But if you did it somewhere that was still out of bounds you would destroy your save file.
But if you knew exactly where to go (with the step counter) you could get to the event pokemon areas and stuff.
I remember getting an action replay and completely fucking my Pearl save
I decided to go through a door that an NPC was in front of and suddenly the entire game's scripted sequences were absolutely and irreversibly fucked
I remember they had some pretty strange dialogue too
I remember when I would play online with blatantly hacked pokemons in platinum.
It felt like the platinum games werne't actually online but just downloaded the pokemon and did an AI match or something.
>It felt like the platinum games werne't actually online but just downloaded the pokemon and did an AI match or something.
I'm pretty sure they were, just with someone elses pokemon
Shoddy programming where moving gives you positive acceleration but only caps your speed if you're moving forward, since it assumes that you can only move forward. They think if you want to go the other way you'd just turn around.
At least, if I had to guess I'd say that's it.
