Beta soon, preorder the physical PC copy on Amazon and then input the beta code you get into Uplay. Afterwards, cancel the Amazon order.
Alpha players are also saying it's essentially a better Destiny/what it should have been.
I'd probably have said no, if the new R6 wasn't so good. Sure as hell not gonna pre order, but I'll be keeping my eye out.
Biggest fear is there won't be enough things to do. I think all there is now are missions to upgrade your base/side missions/dark zone. Hopefully they add a ton more stuff than was available in the alpha
So, this an MMO with a storyline, right? And you either do it with you friends or solo/with bots?
I still don't really get this game. I also have no idea why so many people are hyped for it.
It's not an MMO. PvE is instanced and you either play solo or with a group through matchmaking. It's just an online shooter with open-world elements but everything is still instanced; I wasn't in the alpha so I don't know how big an instance is.
PvP however is basically PvE with PvP features on it; this is where you'll see other players out in the open in areas called the Dark Zone where you can either group up with or hunt other player while having to deal with NPCs in the open. In addition, recent rumors suggest only 24 players per Dark Zone instance.
>mfw the GTA mentality will ruin the dark zones
I have a strong feeling that shit will not be fun at all. You'll be lucky to find one group that won't betray you at the end. Do they at least have red names or something to show whose killed other players?
Not only will going rogue make you lose XP, everyone in the zone will be notified of an agent going rogue and will be shown their location for quite a while; they can also be freely attacked without consequence by other players.
From the newest Trailer it heavily looks like Destiny in 3rd person + PvP.
Don't know what to feel, i dropped Destiny after 2-3 hours because it really bored me and forced me to go back to the same zones/interiors all the time.
Did destiny have some kind of base building element?
Siege was a fluke, the game had zero hype until people played it and realized it was fun but not worth the asking price
The Division for whatever reason has a ton of hype even though the reaction to the alpha version hasn't been great with people saying its just a buggy third person Destiny
I highly doubt the full game will be any different seeing as its so close to launch
>post yfw youll be begging for red storms cock just so you can have a job and you won't even get that
there's always EPIC amirite bro
They released some thing called the "base of operations" it's supposed to be like a primary mission hub that you try to upgrade. The other hubs are like NPC cities where you can trade/buy shit.
I'm going oldschool on this shit. Rainbow Six is big man, respected too.
Yea it was a shitty decision, i don't know who made it, probably some retard in marketing. Either way i assume the majority audience(idiots) eats that shit up or it would have been changed sometime in the past 4 years.
