3 had the best MP. CE is a very close second, tied if you want to get technical. 2 was an unbalanced mess for MLG-wannabe kiddies who can't stop crying about hitscan BRs. Reach was garbage. There hasn't been any other Halo games made besides Halo Wars (which was medicocre-okayish for a console RTS).

I haven't laughed so hard at any other shooter ever made as I have playing Halo 3 online.

Gunplay was a massive step up from Halo 2's pea shooter feel. Halo games in general have a strange gun balance that in any other game would be awful but for Halo this balance is necessary and actually works towards making the game better. To put it short, Halo is actually improved by being a BR mainly game. Although I don't think it would have hurt had they made the carbine a bit better like it was in the beta.

UT 99 was/is the best multiplayer game. I'd still play it if I had any friends around.

Fine whatever that is your opinion. What is however a FACT is that it should be performing far FAR better considering the franchise it belongs to. Halo 3 was more popular then CoD4 on XBL FACT. Halo 5 can't even manage to crack number 1. In fact I don't even think it is in the top 3 for XBL. That says volumes about what people think about Halo 5.

That is no excuse. There were plenty of shooters. Including the new breakout series called (Gears of War) that was a microsoft exclusive series of games that competed with Halo 3 itself as well. So do not give me that garbage. There was plenty of FPS/shooter games at the time.
