The quality of the series took a steep nose dive after Vesperia, rose a tiny bit again with Xillia 2, then plummeted with Zestiria. And now we know Berseria will be similar to Zesitira.

I think the reason why Vesperia is popular is because it's a very well-rounded Tales, especially compared to most of the games that came after it.

Why would anyone even like it in the first place? They all look generic anime JRPGs that's probably full the the most annoying anime cliches, tropes, and bland boring combat.

I shouldn't have played the Xillia games as my first Tales. Every time I pick a new one up, I end up being disappointed because Xillia 2 was just so much fun.

Does Graces ever get to the point of what you can do end-game in Xillia 2? I dropped the game after Hubert's return.

Zesteria isn't that bad. It's just too complicated for its own sake.
Like this fucking equipement skill shit is the most convulted thing ever but playing in Normal+1 (Medium ?) difficulty it's not that bad.

Same with with the gameplay. most of the time either you're being destroyed because you're alone and can't combo for shit or wrecking the bosses because you can combo them so much it's really dumb.

Seems to me like a high budget game made by over ambitious newbies. It's really weird.

It's just boring. This is coming from somebody who's played symphonia 4 times, phantasia 5 times, vesperia once, graces F, destiny, eternia and more. I just can't give a shit anymore. I didn't even finish xillia, didn't buy xillia 2 and pirated zesteria when it came out and still haven't touched it.
