Anything with QTEs I absolutely refuse to press one unless i'm feeling very generous, i don't fancy being treated like a mongoloid by "PRESS X NOT TO DIE" messages taking 1/3 of my screen If it's impossible to proceed without doing the QTE and i die to it then tough shit, time to refund the game
>>323826948 >and not really because its that bad, but because everyone says its the best thing since puntable marmots But that's exactly what you said. You hate it because it's popular with a certain niche of people.
>>323826362 i don't remember the name but the main character was some kind of red evil and there was garden gnome at the end of the level... sometimes it was some shitty 3d puzzle game and when you lost all lives or something you got punched in the face on boxing ring
>>323827215 You know, I normally don't, but I saw all the Teaching Feeling threads where 99% of the posts were claiming it was an emotional roller coaster where you teach a broken girl to feel again and essentially a Dad simulator.
And it's just headpats and unavoidable porn, which actually made me upset because I asked her to call me papa and then she raped me.
It's my fault for trusting /v/ though, and not knowing that raising sim eroge are a whole genre.
>>323826362 It's hard to say, there are a lot of ways a game can qualify as "the worst", like on a technical level I've played some pretty crappy games like Brudal Baddle, but they were probably made by like 2 people just trying to make a quick buck so I find it hard to care about, and then there are games that are just not for me like MOBAs, it just feels like I'm trying to play a game with a completely wrong control scheme which just doesn't fit controlling 1 dude at a time.
I think overall the worst game I've played is Eragon for the 360, it just blew ass and that's all there really is to say about it.
Never in my life have I wasted so much money on such an awful unplayable mess. Everything about this game is just fucking awful, there isn't a single nice thing I can say about this game other than the costumes are kind of cute. And the small amount of new animations are nice. Good fucking lord this game is awful and unplayable.
>>323828587 It's only fun when you're playing with a couple friends, and even then it's just okay.
I'll admit the game I like the most in that general sort of genre is easily Don't Starve Together, followed by the Forest, but I event think Minecraft is more fun of a game to play than Terraria with a couple friends.
>>323828695 This is the first I've heard anyone say anything about the game since all threads about it here are always fucking stealth Jojo discussion threads, thank you. I was hoping it'd play better than it looked.
>>323826362 Ninjabread Man, by Data Design Interactive. Pretty much reskinned another, equally crappy game of theirs with a candyland theme. Only played it because my little brother asked mom to rent it for him back in the day.
Legitimately awful, not like all those bait answers that perpetuate these threads.
>>323828695 I don't know if it's the worst game I've ever played, but it's certainly up there. But because JoJo's is such a great franchise I think it's hard for people to admit just how shit it is, particularly because it looks nice and has a great roster. Too bad that it's hot fucking trash both as a fighting game and as a complete, playable game in the first place. I feel like the devs must have had no idea what the fuck they were doing; it seems truly incompetent.
>>323828951 Yeah, same, I've never seen anyone honestly talk about the quality of it either on /v/.
>>323828951 Its by far the worst thing I've ever played. Everything is slow from the attacks, the constant knockdown and crumples, the same combo that you do over and over as anything else knocks them down. As a big fan of the series, I will tell you to NOT spend any money on it, its not worth money at all. >>323829029 Because somehow CC2 gets all the anime licenses, and you would think with the experience of the naruto games they could just copy and paste that gameplay onto Jojos. Boy was I wrong when I expected that.
>>323826362 That's an easy one. Destiny. Besides the fact that the gameplay itself was subpar, they also don't have a lobby system, no auto matchmaking outside out the playlists which was completely retarded, Bosses are just big versions of regular enemies. But by far the worst thing about that game is the way they pressure you into buying their shit DLC, by nerfing vanilla rewards and moving them behind a paywall, and by locking you out entirely of weekly missions and rewards. It's first Bungie game I've played since the 1st Halo, and it's the fucking last one. Fuck Bungie.
>>323829237 I mean, Spore might have irrevocably crushed my ability to feel hype for games, but I can at least acknowledge it works.
Ninjabread (wii) man has:
3 levels The worst waggle controls I've ever encountered A camera that fights you Graphics that wouldn't look out of place on PS1 No story No ending (beating it just dumps you back to title) And can be beaten in like a half-hour
>>323830550 I played all of the other Metroid games first (except for Other M and Metroid 2) and found Super Metroid to be pretty underwhelming. I get that it set the groundwork for the rest of the series, but the stuff it does has just been done better in following games (apart from being able to toggle on/off suit upgrades).
Walking Simulators are the worst games, I've ever played, on a basic level.
Games do one, or more, of these three things: 1. Give the player a problem to solve 2. Give the player a unique way to interact with the game world 3. Give the player ways to use the game to express themself
Great games do all three.
Walking simulators do none of these.
However, one walking simulator in particular not only doesn't do any of this, but seems to laugh at the idea of having any kind of fun at all.
Barney's Hide and Seek is the worst game ever made. The levels are static as hell, with nothing to do. Barney can't do anything but walk and jump. There's nothing to stop you from reaching the end of the level.
But unlike most Walking Simulators, Barney's Hide and Seek actually forces you to finish the game. If you leave it alone, it plays itself. It completely laughs at the idea of player agency, and does it for you. This is one of the easiest games of all time, but it still feels it needs to be easier.
If that isn't enough, each level in this game is covered with collectibles, along with kids you can find. This is a game about hide and seek after all. Notice I said "can find". The game doesn't require you to find the kids. It also doesn't require you to collect anything. If you find the kids, or collect items, nothing changes, it's the same damn game, with the same damn ending.
Yeah, I know it's a game for kids. Do you know what I was playing at that age? Tekken. I beat Tekken 3 at the age of 6. My younger brothers were beating Zelda at the age of 5.
Kids aren't that fucking stupid. If they're so young that they need to play Barney's Hide and Seek, they're likely at an age where they can't even understand what they're playing.
Worst game that I forced myself to complete is Wanted: Weapons of Fate. Only two fucking weapons, like whopping two enemy types with reskins and all the boss fights play exactly the same; all of them fight from unreachable areas and you have to slowly whittle them down with the curving bullets, wait for the ability to recharge, rinse and repeat. Oh, and the game literally ends with the main character peeing in the main antagonist's empty eye socket. Only the rail shooter segments were somewhat enjoyable.
It got really old really fast. The jokes got stale after 5 minutes. Then it was just immature and overall a fucking garbage game with innumerable flaws, and no, not ironic flaws. I got the game for like 20 cents and I felt ripped off. I wouldn't recommend anyone play it even for free. Not worth the time invested. I probably wouldn't play it even if I was paid a few bucks.
Persona 4 It was a complete downgrade from everything P3 did, if they had just left all of the shit P3 had and added direct command then it would be good, but no, they had to leave it as barebones as possible. It also brought a bunch of shitters to the fanbase, ERP faggots, dumpers who have no idea what /c/ is and idiots who think P4's gameplay is good. And the story, oh god, it was so retarded, the character writing is so flat and shallow, and what little development they have is neber acknowledged in the main story, making it looked like they regressed horribly. Fuck P4, seriously
Maybe not objectively the worst, but the most plain and mediocre. The entire game you walk forward on a straight line fighting enemies with a busted combat system that has no depth. At least something like Sonic 06 I got a little bit of fun out of exploring how fucking broken it was.
I expected it to be a cops-and-robbers shooter. It was so much worse than that. Controlled like shit, had an awful soundtrack, the voice-acting was some of the worst I'd ever heard. One of the few games I'd rented from Blockbuster and then returned the very next day instead of keeping for the entire week.
Worst game? I've played tons, and it's hard to pick out any of them as the absolute worst.
However, the most amount of money I've ever regretted spending on a game is probably Brink. Coming from Enemy Territory Quake Wars, it was just painfully awful. Mediocre gameplay, underutilized parkour, not enough levels, the levels that were there leaned way too hard on color filtering, and the game was dead within a week.
Not exactly a horrible game itself, but Persona 4, I really think Persona should've stayed Kill at EP, everything afterwards has just been horrible attempts at squeezing autism bucks out of lonely NEETs.
I feel like giving honest answers today, so here goes:
Drakengard: Objectively without a doubt the WORST game I've ever had the displeasure of playing. And worst thing is i was so sucked in by its story, I spent hours fledging through its mediocrity to get all 5 endings, and then be awarded with space babies devouring the world. I feel like I was possesed playing this. If there ever was an evil force in video games, this is it. this leads people to fucking suicide. Fuck you Taro.
Dark Souls: Can't get into it. Tried. I love Sakuraba and Namco, but Dark souls was way too slow and clunky for me to get a feel for, the constant dying every two seconds got old by the second dungeon. Its not even a git gud situation, its just bad.
Assassins creed: Tried to get into it, gave it a rent, couldnt do it. its slow, its clunky, you cant get anywhere without walking or you'll raise awareness, and the kills and stealth just arent satisfying.
>>323826362 it was good for a couple laughs but it wore out its welcome fast. Dull slow combat, faggot wooden characters, and the frequent tutorials insulting the intelligence of anyone who has the brain of a chimp.
Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z is the worst abortion of code ever assembled in the shape of a 60 dollar product. >Hideous, acidic art style >Shallow button mashing that somehow feels stiffer than GoW >Literally every enemy is as annoying and shitty to fight as the worst enemies in DMC3 >Platforming QTEs >A giant shit on one of my favorite series
>>323829454 >>323832504 >>323835449 He implied that the hype for such a trash game was what made it such a shitty experience. Why would you come to a sub where the discussion is written if you're illiterate?
In all honestly half life 2. I picked it up on day of release. I loved half life 1 and the expansions. But half life 2 was mediocre. It's nothing more than a glorified tech demo of the source engine. Sure it's MP was okay but that's only cause of the user generated content. The SP was absolute shit. It didn't feel like a half life game. It felt like they gave it a lambda sign and called it half life 2. The story was shit and the continuity between the two games felt forced. The worst part is when the game finally gets rolling, when it finally gets good; It ends.
Mindless overhead view shooter, and dying is random.
No, really. Each time you get hit, whether you die or not is chosen at random, slightly effected by your "armor" stat. And all "classes" are not fast enough to avoid the barrage of shots at the start of later levels. In fact, you can barely avoid shots with the faster classes when going against ONE enemy.
The worst games I've ever played: >Left 4 Dead 2 Shitty community. Very salty, very butthurt constantly. They take casual multiplayer modes more seriously than any other community in any other game. Also the enemy AI is retarded and they're just extremely easy to kill. >CS:GO >Runescape Both games just a complete waste of my life. I wish I could take back all the time spent playing these games, they suck and I didn't realize so until after quite a long time with both. >Skyrim >Ocarina of Time Just really bad, overrated games
>>323845207 Not the same anon, but I too think P4 took things a little too far. P3's redeeming quality was the boss/optional boss armada near the end. And as for the story, I think P4 was more bearable.
