>>323822670 pc reached the apex ages ago, got bored, and went back to fun games with heart. it's like when you see a legendary actor take shitty roles in romantic comedies or whatever. they have nothing left to prove and just want to screw around and have fun with their friends. they don't need to impress you their whole life.
>>323825024 > All of those are shit. Opinion >All of those still look worse than a game from 2007. I hope you don't think the graphics of a game determine its worth. >None of those was rated as high as Undertale. He asked for PC exclusives dummy. Not PC exclusives rated as high as undertale. Again, see >>323824997
>>323822670 I think it's pretty self-explanatory PS4 > Generic 3rd person action games, often dark with an edgy tinge Nintendo > overly saturated kiddy games PC > Lot's of variety for any level of hardware
>>323826414 Neither do you. Assuming you are the person I responded to, you seem to instantly discredit all of those titles based on the fact that undertale had the top score from IGN.
It doesn't matter to me that much. You are probably just getting off to the fact that I replied. I just want you to know you are wrong and I don't think highly of you or the thoughts you regurgitate onto your computer screen.
>>323825860 Having 'lol random' jokes doesn't remove the great story, fun mechanics, hard bossfights, and replayability... You can't honestly believe the ONLY thing Undertale has going for it is the humor, right?
Also, 4th wall breaking is hardly some new terrible trend in video games, it's been around ass long as stories have. Remember Psycho Mantis from MGS? I haven't played the game myself but apparently it's somewhat popular.
Graphicsfags are ruining gaming. PKeks always whine and cry about consoles "holding back graphics". I would argue that's a good thing. You could upscale a fucking PS2 model and it would look 80% as good as the shit that comes out today. The problem is that graphicsfags don't want 80%, they want 100%. So now instead of having games made by a close-knit group of 5, you need a team of 50. Now they need the support of publishers and all the middle men.
Maybe the game industry will crash again and we can have our good shit back.
>>323826764 What? I'm talking about >>323825756 not replying to my post. >>323825454 Is my post, i'm not trying to pretend it isn't. And some shit poster didn't want to argue against it, so he ignored it.
>>323822670 PCucks LOVE undertale and nothing else. It took 12 years to make. It's the pinnacle of SERIOUS and MATURE games for SERIOUS and MATURE gamers, which are a dime a dozen on the PC. PC is the only platform capable of running such an artwork. Personally I look forward to what the PC can do next, now that Undertale has carved the path for games on the PC.
Remember goys, buy an NVidia TM 980 Ti for low low price of >$1000 USD to keep up with graphical advances like UNDERTALE the only PC exclusive to be awarded 10/10 in 2015.
>>323826985 PS2 quality models can still be adequate today, sure. But the textures, jaggies, & lighting are shit. I don't think it's too much to expect a for profit group with access to Unity 5 or Unreal 4 to shit out something resembling decent when one dedicated furfag can completely overhaul Skyrim in a matter of months.
>>323822670 I think people miss the days gone by of the old 2d rpgs, platformers or beat um ups, they are an artform that I suppose we all assumed were just a stepping stone in progression or graphics and story telling, but obviously wrong, some of us like those type oc games. Similar to how lots of us call re4 tje best and others call it the decline.
>>323828246 Why does metacritic dictates what games are good or bad?
Metal Gear Solid 5 has 93 on metacritic yet anyone that has played Chapter 2 knows the game was not finished and should have been rated significantly lower.. Metal Gear Solid 5 one of my biggest letdowns in gaming. Hell. Ask /v/ what it thinks of MGSV. Thats another group of opinions that I value as highly as metacritic.
Tell me why I should trust a group of people (not to mention a minority in the community) paid to review games over my own opinions.
I'm not saying my opinion is what everyone should think. I'm not saying I am the majority. I'm not saying my opinion should even matter to you.
I am saying when you declare a list of games shit simply because they aren't rated as highly on metacritic, that you lack free thought. Talk to me again when you can think for yourself.
>>323824760 >shitty Obsidian RPG that looks like a PSP game >PC Space Simulator #745 >arena fightan WoW spin-off >SJW interactive movie >PC City Building Game #7234 >PC Middle Ages RTS Game #2841 Those are some quality exclusives brah.
My good PC friends, you lack consistency. If you say graphics are the main reason to get a gaming PC, when you get proof that your exclusives look like shit don't start acting like you don't care about graphics. If you don't care then why do you not play on consoles? We have better exclusives anyway and we get every multiplayer without having to pay $800+ for a machine.
Oh and I bet my ass that memetale will release for consoles sometime later this year or early 2017
Let's be self aware now, consoles aren't exactly revolutionizing the graphics department. The only exclusives that don't look stale and boring are the ones from Nintendo or anime RPGs/Fighting games, which don't exactly bring something new to the table.
It's going to be a while, considering triple A developers are wasting their budget on marketing (see Fallout 4) and only few indie developers take graphics/art direction seriously.
The story is long lasting, that's objective. You could say you don't like Charles Woodson, but it doesn't change the fact that he has been in the NFL for 18 years.
You can say that is not engaging for you and it's fine, but as long as someone finds it engaging it's correct, considering the statement was "which one has an engaging story" and not "which one has an engaging story for everyone".
>>323833498 That's precisely what I meant when I said "if you don't care [about graphics] then why not play on consoles?"
Graphics is all PC has going for itself, the few exclusives it has all look like shit because only indie devs who don't have the manpower to make a game for three platforms release exclusives for it. And if you claim you don't care about graphics then you might as well get a console and at the very least play some nice exclusives, and save yourself the pain of dealing with badly made ports.
>>323835785 I'm not going to argue the variety, but those games all run on literal toasters just fine, you could play them on any laptop. But PCfats insist on spending $1000 on a PC, to play what? DoTA, CS:GO? PC elitism is a case of a inferiority complex
>>323836583 Maybe some people just like the ability to play any game they want at 1080p/60fps+ Spending a thousand bucks on a favorite hobby doesn't sound unreasonable at all if you aren't a useless neet.
>>323838284 >Crash Bandicoot >Spyro the Dragon >Medievil >Ape Escape >Twisted Metal >Parappa the Rapper >Jak and Daxter >Ratchet and Clank >Sly Cooper >Resistance >Wild Arms >Legend of Dragoon >Legend of Legaia >Rogue Galaxy >Dark Cloud >Alundra >Killzone >Infamous >Little Big Planet >Tearaway >Gravity Rush >Soul Sacrifice >Patapon >Escape Plan >Fat Princess >Locoroco >Demon's Souls >God of War >Uncharted >The Last of Us >Journey >The Unfinished Swan >Bloodborne
>>323838770 Bloodborne is a game of Simon Says with every boss. Also, it's really forgiving since Blood Vials are faster than Estus ever was and you can get health back by dealing damage. It's fun, and definitely harder than Undertale, but not necessarily any more legitimate. The only difficulty lies in the sheer amount of health the bosses have that increases the probability of you making one mistake that costs you your life.
>be masterrace >have a custom built computer for 20000nkr >awesome keyboard and mice >great 4k screen >gpu overheats >its destroyed >have a choice buy a ps4 or a new gpu >buy a ps4 >the controller is too sophisticated >die all the time in bloodborne because I am a gigantic faggot that does not know how to dodge properly
Man I am so glad I have a ps4 and not one of those expensive PCs
>>323832828 PC gaming is only for ULTRA GWAFIX is the most simple minded shit I've ever read.
PC Is all about >having access to many genres that would not work on console such as RTS, MMOs. They may not be exclusive but we can't deny RTS, FPS and Racing games play better on PC >access to the better version of many multiplatforms, backwards compatible with all PC games and all 6th gen and below games through emulators. >allowing multiple input devices regardless who made it. keyboard and mouse, racing wheel, wagglan, playstation, xbox and hell even gamecube controllers. Nothing holds you back. >scaleability, the game will run on your $400 or $1500 machine with the optimal settings you pick and the experience you choose >customize how you want your experience to be, whether it would be 30fps, 60fps,144fps and beyond; 720p, 900p, 1080p, 1440p, 4k you name it.
>>323841281 "Cinematic experience" doesn't mean "constant cutscenes." It means what it fucking means: cinematic. Journey puts a ridiculous emphasis on cinematic presentation, similar to how movies do. Whether or not it has "gameplay" is irrelevant. Gone Home has gameplay, technically. The point is, it wasn't designed to be engaging as a game. It's engaging like a movie is. A game that is engaging for its gameplay would be something like Bayonetta.
>>323824760 >Pillars of Trannies >roblox in space >who >actually the only good game on this list >simcity 2.0 this time with barely any content and awful optimization >total war: the remaster to the revamp of the remix
PC gaming isn't and is never going to happen, it's not sustainable, we already tried this shit 10 years ago and it didn't work. We need publishers and console manufacturers for all the mindless industry bullshit that goes into software development. You can't just buy high-end hardware, cut out the middle men and actually expect the world to bend over and grace you with games you'll only buy during steam sales. You can't have your cake and eat it too, it just doesn't fucking work like that in the real world.
You will never get a game on PC that has the production value of Bloodborne exclusive to PC that is independently published. Companies like Sony/Microsoft are one of the few left who are simply able to get shit done in this industry and even this completely over simplifies and fails to take into account the importance and the roles consoles play.
meanwhile if you try to use this same argument to counteract all the sonyggers who post weebshit, cinematic shit like uncharted and TLOU, and fucking forza
not to mention all the games that sonyggers tout as the reason to buy a ps4 are coming out YEARS AFTER THE PS4 WAS RELEASED, meaning people have actually and literally bought a ps4 at release and had nothing to play on it that wasnt better on pc until bloodborne
>>323846664 the whole fucking point of owning a pc is to have access to a fucking massive selection of pc exclusives, many of which are shit, but some of which you might like, PLUS the BEST VERSION of almost all multiplat releases (in terms of graphics, framerate, and modding)
the ONLY reason to buy a console over a pc is to have access to games that you cannot buy on pc. And so far, there is exactly one ps4 exclusive worth buying
>>323847074 >PLUS the BEST VERSION of almost all multiplat releases
Console optimized ports aren't superior and multiplats haven't been worth of running at higher settings since 2008, you only put so much value into those titles now that they're all you get.
PC versions are only superior if you take into account and list the paywall you climb for better performance otherwise they perform the same.
You also can't build a PC that outperforms a ps4 for $300, its been tried but it cannot be done. For the same performance as a PS4 on PC requires a $500 entry point at bare minimum if you fully take into account the true costs involved and don't disingenuously skip out on certain parts.
Also, massive selection of what? Older games that can be run on $30 PC's? It's still missing the entirety of PS3's exclusives and console exclusives from last gen.
>>323847794 Not sure if OP is retarded and posted that. Or if he was smart and posted it like that because sony was late to the console party, and NES wasn't included because it was advertised as a toy and not a console.
>>323847074 You don't buy a console just to play it's exclusives, it's never been like that and has only become a thing this gen because thousands of retards made a wager on the wrong platform and now need to buy 2 multiplat machines to play all the other otherwise they miss out on.
>>323849860 PC games are like the off-brand cereal clone. They are never as good as the real thing, they can taste similar but the quality is always cheap and second-grade. I'd rather take a few well made exclusives than thousands of low-budget low-quality indie games.
>>323845282 The argument has never been about how many exclusives a platform gets, quantity is not indicative of quality. PS4 has over 240 exclusives right now but you'd be hard pressed to find PS4 users desperate enough to shill low effort indieware where as steam users will gladly take up arms
