>One of the only times I was ever with the entire team, all grouped together in a corner of the map, and then rushed an objective
>kill feed stopped for 30 seconds
>then starting going nuts
>killed off in the first wave from grenades
felt amazing though
feel like we lost
I loved MAG just for the overall 'war' feel of it. Even that first basic-ass zone control map in the jungle.
What did it for me was the realistic gunfire sounds, really creates a feel of immersion when you're creeping towards the central zone through the bushes and you keep hearing the occasional popcorn sound of machine gun fire in the distance.
I missed this game willing to buy a ps4 if they annouce mag 2.0
what was it with black dudes and Socom/MAG. I never played fighters so this was the only game i played where I noticed a majority of the player base were black.
>tfw 14 yr old me got called a tru nigga for planting bomb and winning a demo round 5v1
One of my best game experiences ever, was in MAG. I played in a clan, and my specialty was going with stealthy gear, and slipping behind enemy lines to take out emplacements and stuff. I put a bomb on the enemy mortar, and just as I finish placing it, an enemy spots me and kills me.
However, instead of defusing the bomb, the fucker starts T-bagging me. So, I, in response start to cuss him out through the proximity mic, and insult him. This makes him even angrier, and he cusses back, completely ignoring the bomb. It then goes off, killing him, and destroying the mortar.
I found out last night that I'll never be able to play this game again when i tried to start it up.
SVER and Valor, though I leaned Valor myself. Always felt kind of guilty in SVER, since honestly, their guns were generally a lot stronger than the others. It wasn't a huge imbalance, but I felt kinda cheesy.
Yeah, thats why I created the Valor guy, also, because everyone and their mother went to SVER, holy fuck wasnt there like 3 times more people in SVER than in valor and raven combined?
You cannot believe how fucking surprisingly well it ran in comparison to games like counter strike or battlefield at the time, it was almost scary how they managed to do it (given the amount of players on the field at all times)
played it frequently for 2-3 years
anyone that was worth a shit picked sver, was rare to not steam roll everything
dlc modes were a mistake, no one bought them and because the minimum player counts are high no one stayed in the queue long enough to have sufficient players so they were almost always dead
Dude... its hard to forget...you are not helping...
>tfw i got to spend the last hour of mgo2 with /v/
miss that shit so much ;_;
>Update adds four directional machine guns to the Stryker
>Blast through SVER gate and park next to one of the objectives, right in front of spawn
>Half the squad is on machine guns, other half is running around with repair tools
>Had that one Raven assault rifle that had literally zero recoil with a bipod and scope
>SVER scum keeps trying artillery strikes on us
Shit was p fun
Beta > Release > Today
beta was god tier, on release it was ok but they kinda made hawks OP as fuck, then they nerfed the fuck out of them and added a mini mech suit (which is addon content to deploy but others can still use them if they are on the field) which is now dominating the game. And they never nerfed them or patched the game again. It was great while it lasted, I got into a full 32 person dogfight lobby and it was pretty insane.
>That first time you played in a platoon
>That feeling when you just though "I made it"
>That feeling of pure euphoria as you rush with many other players into battle
>That feeling that no console game will probably ever come that close again
What about Dice? MAG is very similar to battlefield, the only thing is that MAG had skill trees and factions that you were pretty much stuck with forever.
I was also thinking respawn, they did a good job with titanfall, they were just slow with content.
>You will never fight the oppression with your fellow Brotherhood in glorious 256 player combat again
Damn it hurts like a bitch...
>not going full on tank mode with LMG
Also it's fucking crazy that Gamestop still sells it in their secondhand sections.
>try to play BF2142
>Can't remember the retarded login I made all those years ago as an edgelord teen
>click "retrive details"
>spends 10 minutes trying to contact a server thats probably been shutdown
No titan mode for me, I'll just go kill myself in a corner.
>Drop a bomb on a chokepoint
>several people on mic start cheering and screaming
So many good memories came from that game, I wonder what the people I used to play with are upto now.
>sniping everyone over and over jumping out in parachutes
i miss it
REMINDER: ANYTHING BUT VALOR IS FOR FUCKING DEGENERATES AND EDGELORDS
>He said shortly before getting his shit pushed in from all sides
That feeling of pure unadulterated panic when you get hit before you even close to the ground...
That feeling when you make it and carry on the fight.God damn those were the best feelings.
>MGO2 servers get shut down
>all my friends and clan members speak less frequently
>then that fateful when we hear about mgsv
>ohshit.mov throughout my clan
>mgo3 trailer released
>what the fuck is this
>classes? regenerating health?
>mgsv is released
>realization that the core gameplay will fuck up what MGO 1 and 2 used to be
>MGO 3 is released
>it's a bland generic westernized piece of shit with none of the feels, controls, or customization with characters/lobbies that MGO 1 or 2 had
I could go into detail as of why mgo 3 is shit but we all know why.
