Knuckles is also all kinds of weird here, what the hell is up with his glide and climbing? Why is it so slow?!

>>323803368 Compared to Advance 3 and Rush, Advance 2 is significantly more fair about stuff you can't see coming flying at you, and it's a very solid speedrun game. Very enjoyable to quickly run through when you have at least a vague idea of what's ahead.
Most boss fights in Sonic as a whole are garbage. Advance 2 is slightly above average in terms of boss fights, ending up only mostly garbage, I would say. About the only game I would say has good bosses is Rush Adventure.
The special stages are terrible though. The stages themselves are bad enough, but the means to access them is inexcusably shit.

They could make somewhat enhanced ports of the GBA and DS games, like give them decent audio quality, take the bar out of the middle of the screen so you can see everything, increase the resolution for 3D assets which would help with boss fights especially, etc.

If any sonic game is to get a pc port, Unleashed, by process of elimination and ease of obtaining, should definitely be the first

The only reason why the 1/2 remakes were allowed to begin with was because Nintendo didn't see mobile as a competitor, but it prevented it from going onto PC until after the three Nintendo exclusives were released.

I think empire city, starting from the bridge run segment and to the end, is one of the best parts of the game. That rail grinding above the highway with the double loop, followed by being rocketed off against the skyscraper and running and quickstepping up it followed by that spiral grind downwards is just ace.
Act 3 was also fucking fun and fast
Man I miss when unleashed and the dlc was new. I had never played anything like it up until that point

I then played it myself and thought it sucked but, kids could really love it. Did the same with black knight a few years later. The storybook games are really fun for kids but I just cant get into them after being with sonic since 1994.
