You have finally achieved CHIM, /v/. What is the first thing you do with that almighty power?
Three things only.
1: Get a huge harem of dragon bitches.
2: Make all game companies make games for PC only and sell them without DRM.
Make sure my family is well taken care of financially.
Turn myself into a cute immortal little girl.
Fuck with the Altmer. Boast that I'm the second human to achieve godhood, summon Mara and bugger her in public. Should any yellow elf bastard object to this I'll turn them into a midget and permanently stunt their magicka.
i would revert all game series to their roots, while keeping graphical quality.
RPGs back to isometric, fighters back to side scroll, no 3d movement, RTS will revert back to multiplayer being a rushed together after thought added in later, MMOs will go back to being massive above all else and abandon the E-sport model, etc, etc until you have games that people actually want to play and not Resident Evil: Frycry 3: Rise of the Tomb Raider Liberty City the Third
>all those faggots not understanding what chim is
After achieving chim, you lose all earthly desires and literally 99.9% of existence becomes meaningless.
It's like being an NPC in a video game, realizing you're in a video game and getting access to the developer console.
Your friends, family, pleasure, happiness, earth, universe itself is nothing but a meaningless illusion.
I'd kill myself probably.
How would that be any different to suddenly becoming godmode in this reality?
It's still all ultimately pointless.
Anyway, you would zero-sum. It seems realising you don't exist and are just a figment of someone's imagination would prove too much for you.
I'd have this video played on every tv, computer screen, and phone across the world.
You knwo the world? It is all the dream of God. Once you realize that everything is just a dream and obtain full understand of those dream mechanics, you sorta of become a Tulpa and can now manipulate God's psyche or whatever.
Kind of. Imagine if there was no possible way for Neo to get out of the Matrix. That he was, in fact, part of it.
What purpose would there be to overthrowing the architect and all that other sequel bollocks.
Now that I think about it, how was Neo able to bend the matrix to his will?
Morpheus, and Trinity, and everyone else knows the matrix is a computer program, but how come Neo is the only one who can actually "See" it?
I know he's "The One" I just dont understand how that worked
His psyche has a piece of code that references the matrix. As the architect said, him, in the matrix is the remainder of the matrix equation. And by being that un catched variable, he can influence and inject into the actual code of the matrix.
All others can bend and change the numbers that can go into equations while Neo can actually delete whole equations or create his own.
pic related it's what II'd look like in an elderscrollsgame
Intelligent, Nihilistic and with a Wicked Sense of Humor
What would you think about a main character going through the journey of achieving Chim himself so he can go up against the villain who also knows chim and is untouchable at the beginning of the game? Would that work as a story or would it remove the mystery of chim?
Yeah, it was explicitly mentioned in the Mysterium Xarxes Commentaries in Oblivion.
Also Godhead was mentioned in one of the books in the Dragonborn expansion, so that's canon now too.
Fight mudcrabs outside seyda neen until my hand to hand to 100, like every time I play morrowind. Youve never had fun in this game until you punch someone so hard they fall down and are too tired to run away from your wrecking ball fists
TES series has such incredibly interesting and fascinating lore, and there's such an incredible amount of potential to do some amazing shit with the game, but Bethesda's half-assed and lazy work ethic ensures that every sequential game is more dumbed down and dull than the last.
It fucking frustrates the shit out of me man.
>TES has been my favorite RPG series since I was 10, and Fallout 4 has me terrified at how bad TESVI will be
I wrote a largely detailed fan letter about how much I enjoy their games despite their shortcomings, and detailed my worry about how each sequential game feels more shallow than the last, and stated my opinions on the matter. Stuck in it in word document and emailed it to Todd in November after being let down by FO4.
Haven't heard back.
They are so bad at representing the lore in their games.
>cyrodil is supposed to be a mix of the chinese and roman empires
>completely ignore the lore and turn it into medieval Europe in Oblivion
At least they got it somewhat better in Skyrim
You won't. You're one of those entitled children who they immediately discard the opinions of.
It's how all of these devs and publishers answer legitimate criticism, these days. You couldn't get away with that in any other industry.
Thing is, they actually can do it. That game jam they showed after Skyrim's release showed they can do all the stuff. Some of the game jam showed functioning seasons, that would actually change how the world looked. And fucking spears.
They're just told to not do their best. To hold back.
The size of the game games also made way more than Oblivion and Skyrim.
Morrowind only took place just in Vvardenfell, while Oblivion and Skyrim try to represent the whole region.
The number of npcs while by no means realistic in Morrowind is like in one to five or six hundred scale, while in Oblivion and Skyrim it's one to several Thousands.
I don't know if I want to see every bandit doing backflips, running at super-speed pulling off huge fancy flourishes with their weapons, every movement leaving trails of fire behind them. That's not TES.
>see this thread
>look up CHIM since I haven't played any Elder Scrolls games
>It is now 1 hour later and I feel I haven't read anything
Jesus fucking christ what is all this lore? Did bethesda actually do something good for once?
Can't be fucked reading all of this but is this that awful blog post that thinks shit like mod support is cannon to the game world?
CHIM was a inner joke in Bethesda about how the player can mess with the input commands and add mods. Autismos make it to be officially part of the Lore by forcing that shitty joke.
I doubt anyone at Bethesda actually reads the lore except the guy they hired to write it. Their goal seems to be to create the most generic, recycled world imaginable and get some writer to make up a story about it so fans can pretend they put some effort into it.
This has to be the most non-nuanced view of japanese games I've ever seen. Metal gear and dark souls are also examples friend.
He means, in order to attain CHIM in the first place you need to accept that you are a dream of the Godhead (-1, non-existence) and yet still assert "I think therefor I am" (+1, existence).
At that point you have access to the "god mode" powers people associate with CHIM, but whatever you said doesn't make sense.
I realized that part, since the two accounts of people acheiving CHIM i read seem like utter bullshit, but there's so much goddamn lore to these games that it's reaching autistic levels of detail.
>mfw reading that some niggerlizard summoned an eldritch being from another realm just to kill some immigrants.
Talos has two aspects: Tiber Septim and Ysmir and there is a theory that he has a third aspect in the Underking.
They were different people but due to some wird shit in the lore if you try hard enough to emulate someone you become the same person as him or something
additem f anything I need
Feels gooooood maaaaaaaan
you need to stop.
Become a pretty Argonian and win all the beauty pageants
no, but to assume that I meant over the top animations, and was not implying more the style of windup and other things that the japanese generally pull off better is kind of ridiculous.
>see every bandit doing backflips, running at super-speed pulling off huge fancy flourishes with their weapons, every movement leaving trails of fire behind them. That's not TES.
Remove all Bethesda employees from existence and memory that Michael Kirkbride doesn't personally think are a credit to the team.
Reinstate Kirkbride as Lead Lore Developer and idea man, retroactively to the beginning of the dev cycle of Oblivion onward.
Have all former Interplay and Black Isle employees that are interested kept in the loop on all Fallout game design decisions, retroactively to the beginning of Fallout 3's dev cycle onward.
Remove Elder Scrolls Online from existence and memory.
