I played syndicate (my first assassin's creed game) and enjoyed it enough that I want to play another one. is this a good one? how about unity?
Do black flag, don't do unity.
>>323785980
Black Flag you should just play under any circumstance.
The only people who really like Unity are fanboys.
>>323785980
I've only ever played the first one, it was good go play that
>>323785980
2 > 4 = Brotherhood > 1 > Syndicate = Revelations = Rogue > Unity > 3
Ezio > Edward > Altair = Jacob > Shay > Evie > Arno > Connor
Unity is weak, don't play it.
Black Flag is probably the most unique one, so try that.
>>323785980
Black flag gets very repetitive. Don't listen to these fags who say it's a great game. Each island you visit, you do the same side quests, literally the same side quests. And do you know how many islands there are in the game? Many. Ship parts cost a lot so your ship upgrades at a very slow pace. You have to upgrade everything onnypur ship, and there are levels of upgrades. Good luck on that. Don't even try to get into ship battles because you're gonna die.
OP here, unity sounds pretty cool tho. french revolution and all that.
>>323786546
It does absolutly nothing with the setting. Revolution is hardly a factor.
Rogue is my personal fav
>>323786161
I agree with this.
>>323786454
>Don't even try to get into ship battles because you're gonna die.
>I am bad so this game is trash >:(
>>323786147
>under any circumstance
Mediocre boat combat, some if not the worst cities in the franchise tied with AC3, and lackluster overarching story.
Then you add the mediocre AC combat ontop of that and Black Flag only having bush stealth and there is no reason to play it if you play Syndicate.
They always add layers to the mediocre base game, so why the fuck would you play the new one then go back to the lesser games?
>>323786454
Wow, you must suck at it.
>>323786161
(1) 4>2=Brotherhood>Revelations=Rogue>Bloodlines>3>Unity
Ezio>Altair>Edward=Haytham>Shay>Connor>Arno
AssCreeds post 2 are only acceptable if you skip several at a time.
4 may as well be 3.
>>323787217
BF is still a better game than Syndicate in my opinion.
>>323787836
4 is a prequel to 3, so it fits.
>Haytham Kenway will never be a main AC protagonist
>>323786546
Take the french revolution, sprinkle it in gorgeous graphics and a helluvalot of marketing and you get a buggy ass game where they half-ass the story, make a love interest the MAIN SIDE CHARACTER that does nothing but loathe about how it's taking so long for her revenge to be complete.
>>323787997
For the best, perhaps. He would've had a ton of cinematic missions if they base it on the novel.
>>323787916
It was a very clear "Baby don't go, it'll be better!" game. I haven't played either, so I'm not sure if Rogue, Syndicate, or some future game will be the "should have been 4" of the series.
>>323787863
I think Unity has the best city and best assassinations, Syndicate has the best gameplay overall, combat was kinda bleeh.
Unity's map was big enough to not be a chore. Syndicate is actually too fucking big, forcing so many moments of the shitty carriage just like BF uses the shitty boat.
AC1 has the best story, mainly because the Desmond section was the only present-time section in the entire franchise that wasn't god awful. AC2/Ezio was the best character.
3 had the best combat, Connor was fun to play as because of his style and weapon variety.
Revelations was probably the only game that didn't offer anything at all.
>>323787217
You might as well be describing ACII, replacing boat combat with flight combat.
I hope the movie's fucking good.
>>323788250
This literally could've been the III of the series.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kg3F0SaPfp0
>>323788283
The problem with Syndicate as well is that they have all these buildings and open pubs and you don't have any interaction with them. It's like going through Just Cause: London but without the physics gimmicks or killable civillians.
Pretty comfy to roam around though.
>>323785980
Play Unity if you want a deeper AC game thatt's too casualize like AC REV thru BlackFlag .
>>323786774
guilty pleasure
>>323789240
Not really that deep since the combat is pretty boring. You can beat the game without using any other updated sword simply by spamming medicine and smoke bombs. Snipers are deadlier, I'll give you that.
Unity has a lot of good ideas. Unpolished, sadly.
>>323785980
Unity is good if you like 18th century france
how is the performance in unity on pc now? I heard it was shit at release.
anyone here actually played it in the last couple of months?
>>323789341
>by spamming medicine and smoke bombs.
You don't have to use those items and plus that was in problem AC2 thru REv as well.
>>323785980
Let me tell you why III sucks
Its because no one like native americans and the american war of indepence theme was a huge jackoff to americans, but no one else in the planet feels connected to the event (minus brits, but they get killed in the game)
>>323789443
>You don't have to use those items
I had to in my vanilla walkthrough. Goddamn bulletsponges and stunbombers made blow 10,000 frenchbucks a sequence. Yes, I wouldn't mind if I never really have to use them but several other missions requires such.
>>323789578
Actually III sucks because it suffered too much of the forest gump syndrome while making Connor less appealing. I liked Connor, but he's not for a wider audience, nor was he handled as good as I hoped.
>gameplay
1 is repetitive
2 is only good coming from 1
Brotherhood is a better 2
I don't remember Revelations
3 is fucking shit
4 is a massively improved 3
>setting
2 > Brohood > 1 > Revelations > 4 > 3
>>323789679
I found Unity to be more like a RPG. It's a lot harder if you don't spend time doing side/co-op missions and getting better armor and weapons.
>>323789901
Revelations was so good, aesthetic wise. Even fitted the blending system where a lot of the people in that place had headwear and masks on with colors matching Ezio's.
>jacob being the idiot ended up being a better character than mary sue eve
at least the banter was good
>>323789960
It honestly failed to captivate me, and I was really looking forward to it. A return to form, improved assassination missions, new combat that wasn't counterkill-based, cosmetics and shit, and even gorgeous graphics.
It just didn't deliver in a lot of things it promised. Maybe if they took another year off, they could've tweaked it better. Here's to hoping the dev leak that no AC this year is true and they work hard on Egypt
>>323788367
He's going to be a fucking allah people from spain
what a gay move ubi
>>323790003
The only things I remember about Rev
>the cinematic opening
>the cool as shit default grey outfit
>the tower defense
>the hookblade has two parts
>theEzio meets Altair
Didn't wow me as much as 2 and Bro did, then 3 killed the series, then 4 was on sale and it was pretty good
>>323790031
I swear to god though, the fucking hat is KILLING ME. PARKOURING THROUGH THE AIR AND IT'S STILL GLUED TO HIS HEAD.
The one time where the rain looks damn good and you can't keep the hood up without going through a glitch.
>>323789251
>Enable big mouth cheat
>game gets 10/10
WEEEEEEE
>>323790224
It was a disappointment, but it's my ACRogue of before. I just had fun exploring it, taking my mind off IRL stuff and just letting the comfy roll through my steaming head. As a whole game, it's mediocre, but as an escape to fiction, it immersed me well enough.
>>323790304
>enable big mouth cheat in IV
>Doesn't speak most of the time
Dammit. Ah well, at least Shay's VA seemed to have enjoyed doing that.
>THIS...IS MY DOMAIN...
>Give me a hand! (Ledge Assassination) Whoops, nevermind...
>>323790378
Old Snake Ezio was cool.
>>323785980
Play Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood and realize how bad that everything from Revelations onward sucks in comparison.
>>323790142
Yeah, I feel like AC is like that in general. I didn't find Black Flag that interesting despite it being a good game. I was really bored throughout the game, Yet, I had fun with Unity. The think the AC games are too personal.
>>323786774
>>323786454
Wow. Fucking somebody that gets it instead of just you know, getting lost in the fact that it's just a shitty pirate game.
AC is my crack, but i can't play the new ones rip
>>323790563
Hard to believe that was Ezio 4 years after the events of Brotherhood
>>323790703
Didn't it take him like 10 years to find Cesare?
>>323790948
Four years, actually. It took him I think 10 years to find Rodrigo in II
The fuck is wrong with master's gist VA
god i miss adawale and that dude from 3
