And there's also a handful of playstation games that have built up, but I can only JRPG binge for too long before I quit them altogether for a few years.

It's not like I keep a list of shit I really want to get to. Anything I really care about I give time to. My "backlog" is really a bunch of shit that might be neat but I haven't gotten around to yet.

I make a promise to never buy any games until the Winter sale. That way I have all year to finish all of my games before the next winter sale. I just don't pay attention to humble bundle or all of the bundle tracking sites.

That's because it is a great game.

Could use more frequent music, and the level design should be somewhat more linear (or if not linear, at least having something pointing in the way you need to go).

The huge open levels made it easy to get lost and wander around for ages, but that was also what made the game what it is, since you could explore shit and find items, and buildings were built like real buildings.

nah. It means I have a job , but no friends. No friends means no money going toward time being spent with friends or birthday/Christmas gifts. All that 'extra' money goes toward whatever game I can get for 50-90 percent off. I don't ever play the games because I'm too busy with work, school, chores, errands and by the time I have free time I'm either exhausted or want to do something outside the house.

I've realized there's no hope to ever defeat the backlog. Games come out faster than you can beat them and still have a normal life. The only winning move is to accept that. And to start give more value to the time you spend on this gay earth. I stopped using steam, limited my siliconera and 4chan access and dont plan on buying another console. I still come here but I usually go into 1-2 threads a day and then leave. This limits the info I get on new releases so there's no chance of me adding stuff to the backlog. I'll be a free mun soon

Sometimes, I let a game sit on the backburner for a bit as I play others. For example, Aurora and Victoria 2 are sitting at the moment, while I focus on Dwarf Fortress and Star Wars space sims - but I know I'll come back to them.

I usually give a game a good try when buying it, and I don't count games that I don't want to play as being on my backlog (e.g. Dustforce - bought it, played about 30 min, but got bored, so never again).
