Watched a Youtube "playthrough" (the kind where some obnoxious faggot wasn't talking over it) for most of it but got bored toward the end. Its a pretty good movie but i'd never want to "play" it. When i want to put on a movie and chill i don't want to have to press fucking buttons to progress the thing

Devs have said that Max and Chloe's story is complete and will not be revisited in the next Life is Strange. Seems like a waste.to just throw everything away.

I've been playing the first episode and so far it's pretty meh. I don't hate it, but it's barely a game. I expected something like TWD, but it's even less of a game than that.
I also wonder why Max is seen as some introvert shy loner when in real life she would be surrounded by guys all the time.

Also episode 1 is the weakest by far. It RAPIDLY changes around halfway/the-end of episode 2 and gets a lot darker after. If you stick with it you'll see.

It was decent, it wasn't amazing.

It really pushed the envelope of what a VN could be I think as it was definitely more geared toward being a VN than anything else.

I don't like the savescum baiting it basically was, but I think a lot of the story was actually refined to be done quite well... except Chloe.

Oddly enough the other choices if you save scummed are almost as bad so the only reason to do so is literally because you liked Kate enough to not let pixels die.

Although I did do it to see if I'd get any cool interactions with her I took it back after when I noticed that what mattered more was clearly who I blamed, which was super shitty.

Pretty good.

The only gripe I have about it really is how they try really hard to make Chloe the victim. When all she is, is just a flat angsty teen who doesn't even TRY to appreciate things.

She just kinda blames everyone that isn't her for the bad things happening around her, instead of growing up and realizing the big picture. She doesn't try to solve anything herself, she just kinda wants things to happen.

Also there's no character progression with Chloe. She stays the same the WHOLE WAY THROUGH.

Except right at the very end where you gotta choose to save the city or chloe. I saved the city obviously.
