They both create different dynamics and I couldn't pick.

Jon is better for game commentary and on the spot humour but Dan is better for the more comfy and laidback playthroughs and for general talk.

One things for certain though, they need to do more shit like Shadow of the Colossus. Shit that Arin has played and Danny hasn't, where Danny is playing for the show and he gets really into it. SotC is one of the channels best playthroughs, ever. Danny's lack of experience with 5th and 6th gen games could be played off for interesting playthroughs way more.

Both of them are better than Arin though. And I don't even dislike Arin.

I'm not going to bother going into the whole thing of why Jon was better (although Dan definitely isn't terrible). I'll just say as an example that Mario Maker's terrible I'M SO ANGRY I'M GOING TO OBNOXIOUSLY SCREAM CONSTANTLY would not have happened in the Jon era because Jon would have told Arin to reign it in either on or off the mic. That's because Jon was a co-host whereas Dan is a subordinate who goes with whatever Arin wants.

I never was a fan of Ninja Sex Party. Danny isn't a good singer at all and they have maybe two songs that aren't ego stroking "SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX." I get that's kind of their shtick but it gets old really fast.

The problem with Dan is that he doesn't have a good rapport with Arin. Jon and Arin could play off each other and Jon could rein Arin in when he started getting too annoying. Dan just kind of sits back and lets it happen and they just don't connect.
