Is there any reason to suspect this game will suck besides
>Open World Ubisoft game
this is coming from somebody who enjoys R6 Siege
Is anyone honestly even slightly hyped for this game? The E3 trailers have been absolutre borefests full of cringe tier dialoge, and everyone shown just reeks of generic cover shooter.
The only thing this game ever had going for it was pretty graphics and it's a fucking Ubisoft game which negates it's one entire plus point since it will be downgraded anyways. Why hasn't this game been cancelled yet, it's had like two E3 showings and no one every talks about this title, ever, even during E3 anymore. Zero zero hype for this title. Dead on arrival.
>can't even get excited to pirate ubishit games anymore
Lack of gameplay footage. For the past half year its been only teasers, small snipits of gameplay in a video where developers talk.
My biggest worry is CONTENT.
If there isn't content then its just Destiny 1.2
>copy and pasted GRFS gameplay
>everything is a bullet sponge
>skill is literally irrelevant, all comes down to gear. Three people could gang up on one person and that one will win because his gun deals more damage
>no content, copy and pasted locations
>tank/dps/healer dedicated roles in a TPS
>uplay, meaning endless background bloat
>sub 60tick servers, disconnections issues out the ass, and a shitton of bugs
Been in the closed alpha for a while now. Honestly i was looking forward to it but after playing it the game is a really shitty version of destiny, and destiny isnt a great game to start with.
>Usually games that do something new aren't as hyped.
Are you fucking for real?
The reason no one has any interest in this trash is because it's literally copy pasted generic shit we've seen a million times before.
>open world post apocalyptic survival third person cover shooter online coop MMO
Literally every overdone genre pasted all into one shit soup of a mashup.
Like any normal person, you always pre-order and cancel to get into the beta to play to really test it. I did a pre-alpha test around August or September and it looks very different now from the Xbone alpha last month.
Don't know if shill or a baiting faggot.
it's the modern norm to have AMAZINGGGGGGGG trailers but the actual games get downgraded to shit.
If it's good, great! I'll enjoy playing countless hours. If it's shit, you shouldn't be upset about it unless you're an idiot.
>third person shooter
>Are there any reasons other than the exact reasons it will suck to expect it to suck
If you consider any of those mentioned games other than R6 to be good then I can see exactly where you're coming from.
You'll probably love the division anon. I think reddit might be more your speed for this kind of discussion though
>Trusting a trailer
>A Ubisoft trailer
Bought a beta key off G2A for a few cents.
I guess I'll wait to play that before making any judgements.
I find it hilarious how people were more excited about pic related than the division, that game is fucked and even Ubi seems to believe that since they aren't marketing it all that much
Please, when it was originally announced people were raving endlessly around the internet about how good it was going to be and how interesting it was going to be, and then a bunch of the same shit came out and killed it for everyone why isn't Ubi shilling for the game then? They are just letting it roll along. Don't kid yourself on this, it was a intersting idea but since every other game wanted to be a survival open world rpg fps it became stale and no one wants it anymore
Siege is great, though. The update to 60 tick fixed pretty much all the wonky detection issues people had.
I really can't understand anyone being excited for Division. It looks like an absolutely terrible cover shooter against NPCs, is the industry seriously going this way? Making SP games into dull co-op games where you fight laughable bullet sponges with your friends? Every second of gameplay footage I've seen looks absolutely terrible. It does nothing new, and it doesn't even do a decent job of copying the games it's so obviously ripping off.
As someone that plays Rainbow Six Siege, it has awful hitreg and player position tracking, and tons of server errors and other issues. Now imagine trying to play an always online MMO from Ubisoft.
>Siege is great
>Division is bad
Siege is pretty bad itself. The level design is so poor, all the maps play too similarly. Already super devoid of content/things to do, and for the next 3 months all we get are 1 new attacker, 1 new defender and 2 maps. The whole base game could barely last a month before people started leaving.
The whole point is that each time you play, it's different.
The issue with the game is finding decent teams to play with and against. Full 5-man teams where everyone is co-ordinated and the attackers breach 3 spots at the same time are fantastic.
If you play with shitters, every game is just "fortify objective point, lie down in the corner" garbage.
>Yes, because I'm not autistic and don't care about internal politics of videogame companies.
Ubisoft don't provide support for games past 18 months. This is a game with a heavy focus on a multiplayer community. It will be a dead game very very quickly.
i'm afraid the age of the multiplayer games with long lifetimes is more or less over. the only upcoming exception i can see is overwatch, and that's because it's blizz and blizz will milk that shit with expansions for the next 5 years at least
It's an online focused Ubisoft game.
It's Tom Clancy, long after the great Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six games of the previous generations.
That's bad enough, but to top it off there's been less and less mention of this game as the release date gets closer. I could be wrong, but I don't even think it was mentioned at E3 2015.
I'll likely get it since I have disposable income and my brother is interested in it so I'll have someone to play it with, but I don't have a lot of hope with this one.
>still getting content
Only because Hardline super flopped and Battlefront also flopped so they needed people to update BF4 and fix it
I've seen footage but it doesn't really go into the lengths to know if it has even 10 hours worth of missions to do. Hell, even though they've shown parts of Brooklyn off we don't even know if the launch will have Brooklyn. It seems to be only Manhattan.
Have you played Ghost Recon: Future Solider?
It's exactly that.
The cover swap is neat, but it does feel a bit stiff. Mapping cover and dodge is an age old TPS problem that I can't believe the devs still haven't figured it out.
I was in the alpha.
