What are some good videogame related podcasts?
I've tried listening to Fun Haus' Dude Soup but it's just not as fun as their other stuff.
> Dude Soup
Stopped listening to it back during the Arkham Knight debacle. Are they still blindly defending companies while shitting on anyone who complains? Also Giantbombcast is alright and Superbestfriendcast is okay but they don't spend enough time on games.
I like the RT Podcast because of Gus, Burnie, Gavin, and Barb. I miss Joel, Jack, Geoff, and Matt.
Everything else by RT is terrible.
I love the RT podcast because it's just four people talking, no dumb themes or subjects.
Dude Soup is a fucking mess. Nobody sounds like they're having fun when the discussion starts. It's just policing each other and acting like an ass to try and make a point. Everybody thinks they're too right about everything.
RTPC is slow-paced, the conversation feels natural, and they have people who can think fast, have charisma and aren't all ego. They have anecdotes. It sounds like they enjoy what they do. Dude Soup has the embodiment of autism with a list of who-gives-a-fuck topics, featuring his dad who he's trying not to disappoint and his schoolmates who he's trying to impress. It's basically a rantcast for one man.
It's tense, dry, and not fun. They need to chill the fuck out on the opinionfacts and just have a natural conversation. Though considering what kind of bullet pointed document of things to talk about they need, I feel like they couldn't hold a 30 minute conversation if they wanted.
RTPC is rarely video game related, though. It's definitely guilty of being a podcast about nothing.
all you have to remember is that he bought one of these things
Honestly, I'm fine with the RT podcast being the seinfeld of podcasts. I don't go to podcasts to get all my news and opinions. I just put them on for mindless background noise and potentially some stories to chuckle at or something ya know?
Eh, he wanted to try it out. He can spend his money how he wants and hes allowed to defend it as much as he wants.
Obnoxious yes I agree with you but eh, i dont care in the long run
Kinda Funny Gamescast is the only one Iisten to. Tim is kind of retarded but Colin and Greg are great, and hilarious.
RoosterTeeth is God awful bad. I am shocked it got as big as it did.
yes, they were talking shit about how Giant Bomb gave it a lower rating than other sources.
If your an FGC gaylord like myself you should take a listen to this podcast: AvoidingThePuddle
From someone who listens to a lot of podcasts
Super Best Friendcast
Gameinformer podcast (some good developer interviews here)
IGN stuff (mostly game scoop. console specific stuff is not as good)
Idle thumbs until social justice stuff come up and it's annoyingly preachy.
Podquisition (The arrogance and toilet humor is absurd)
The Indoor Kids (Holy shit I can't believe someone recommended this ever)
Calm down, buttercup. I have major complaints, but I've still listened to it. It's in bad shape and the talent has major issues they need to resolve in order to make it a good show.
I'm not going to suck anybody's dick over it. I'm gonna tell it like I see it. If it hurts your feelings that's not my fault. If you like it, that's no shame on you. You shouldn't feel put out because I spoke my peace. Grow some thicker skin.
Ash is cool but I find Meg a little annoying, Meg does has a good dumper on her though.
Mega64 Podcast. C'mon, we had a maxed thread for their ChristmasCast and no mentions? Fuck
One one of the RT podcasts they implied that Jeff gave Fallout 4 a bad review (He gave it 4/5 on PC and 3/5 on PS4) purposefully to gain attraction to giantbomb. They did this while they were all wearing pipboys and just after having done a fallout 4 promotional video paid for by Zenimax.
When their own subreddit shit on them for it they doubled down on stupidity by claiming they didn't know that Jeff had previously been fired from gamespot for refusing to give Kane and Lynch a high score due to publisher pressure and then continued to imply that Jeff may have given fallout 4 a "bad" review on purpose.
TL;DR: shills tried to call someone with a history of not being a shill, a shill.
>MFW christmas cast is dead
They've been phoning it in for years now. The skinny girl from 2 years ago did her best to save it by vomiting up half her body weight though. They really should just put a close on it.
It was absolutely shilling.
They were paid to do content promoting the game and then on a completely separate video podcast they happen to be wearing pipboys while defending the game.
So not only do they come out looking like obvious shills but they looked like morons to everyone, including their own fans who shit on them for it.
>post yfw at this
>post yfw you notice whats on their arms
at least Ryan is reasonable and understands why someone would review it like that.
But the game was a technical mess
Whats funny is Jeff gave the game a 4/5 on PC and 3/5 on consoles. I mean what. Those fucks just said "The game got reviews around the 80 and 90's)
Meh, I'm more inclined to think they're just fucking morons. Usually they're pretty open about their shilling with regards to sponsored content. And they're morons a lot about other shit, so it fits right in.
They're shills who also happen to be morons.
Not sure why you're feeling the need to defend them on this. Seems very clear cut to me. Regardless of their intentions they still come out looking like fucking idiots.
And then Meg tried to play victim claiming she didn't say anything except agreeing with what Gus said. That episode in question left such a bad taste in my mouth I haven't bothered watching the patch anymore, I was already on my way out but that more or less solidified it. RT podcast is still good though when the right people are on.
man that girl is fucking retarded.
>People rated Bioshock Infinite 7/10 because they wanted to stand out
no because it was fucking mediocre SHITE and those reviewers werent blinded by "OMG FPS AMAZING!!!!"
The best part is that a few days later she was on some other youtube show presenting a piece about the technical issues in fallout 4 and how it was affecting many players.
Can't say I blame them for doing what they need to do to get paid but anyone that takes their opinions seriously are fucking stupid. It's very VERY obvious they were defending the game in order to keep their relationship with Zenimax/bethesda in good order.
I've been digging through the #CUPodcast over the last week. Watched dozens and dozens of em.
Ian is a bit of a leftist bitch, but Pat is the definition of a cool guy.
Mic is obnoxious, never shuts up about being Chinese, isnt funny and always talks about and goes on and on about tumblr shit like pro-nouns and other social issues, its just boring. Stampers down to earth and funny
