Why the fuck does no one talk about this glorious game?
>b-but its on Xbone, no one has it
Shut the fuck up, Charles. Hardly anyone bought a gamecube yet Melee was the talk of the town AND it developed a competitive scene that has lasted for over a decade.
I almost bought an Xbone just for this game but microsoft helped me not make a terrible decision and buy a shitty console so now i'm just waiting for the PC release.
Because Xbone and W10.
A shame because I want to mess around with some of the characters but I'm not touching either of those products.
Also I'm tired of those people on Iron Galaxy's payroll shilling it, most notably Max.
Sounds like you're working on the game and are upset nobody wants to try it.
Really, W10 exclusivity was the dumbest fucking thing MS could've done for the game after people already didn't wanna buy an Xbone for it.
I haven't seen corporate incompetence like that in a while.
Never played the game in my life, listened to the soundtrack a bunch though.
W10 exclusivity is shit though, i assume their excuse will be cross-platform play, but that's an obvious lie.
I still share my hype for S3 from time to time but I'm not that great of a player. Was trying to get an Arcade Stick or being a family man and wait for it on W10 to use my already existent Arcade Sticks for the 360.
Either way can't wait for S3. Rash was the shit.
Another anon here,
It's compatible with PC aswell, shit's fun on emulators.
Not a fan although I haven't really played it.
The neutral looks really retarded and characters are just an assortment of gimmicks. Combo breakers are a stupid mechanic and for the most part the only ranges that are really played seem to be far as fuck away or extremely close.
Your set up is making me jealous.
Speaking of which, isn't there an adapter for the Xbox One to let you use your 360 arcade sticks on your XB1?
>Shut the fuck up, Charles. Hardly anyone bought a gamecube yet Melee was the talk of the town AND it developed a competitive scene that has lasted for over a decade.
kek, xbone fags will find any excuse to justify their shit purchase
I just don't like them that much desu, madcatz life for me.
Sexy as fuck though.
It really is because it's X1 only. I can't think of any other reason. Once it gets to windows 10, then maybe it'll spread out more. But it's Win 10, another fucking barrier.
I always admired watching people play the game and envied them. MKX was complete garbage and I'm tired of SFIV. Only solace I get is using Fight Cade and SFV betas here and then.
Retards, MS already sold this game through by handling W10 for free.
And SFV is no CoD or Fallout 4 either by the way. It may sell 2 to 3M lifetime, not 6M in the first fucking day.
Street Fighter is a huge seller. Vanilla SF4 sold 3.3 million units;
And that was before the fighting game boom. SFV will sell a lot more. It's not only a much bigger name than KI, it's being released on two platforms from the get-go, lets people use their old arcade sticks, and isn't stuck on Windows 10.
That's what I said fuckwit.
Like I said, it doesn't have what it takes to make KI irrelevant. And pray to fucking Ono SFV doesn't disappoint or you will see a lot more people seeing KI as an alternative to your favorite fightan franchise.
Fuckin love Killer Instinct I play that shit constantly god damn the music the visuals
It's not the deepest fighter by any means but god it just feels good to play fuck man season 3 when
Just waiting for the PC release, and how the mod community will deal with it.
Unfortunately, in MK9, Injustice and MKX, the modders only got edit colors.
Still don't know if the configurations are difficult to hack or they don't found a way to meshing mods.
madcatz life for me
Saitek/madcatz make some fucking AWFUL products that are full of gimmicks but awful build quality and break all the time
t. Had three saitek/madcatz products in my lifetime and they've all died, multiple times. One was a fucking RAT9 that I spent £100 on.
Dunno what their fighting sticks are like but no way in hell am I buying anything made by them again.
I like it. Reminds me of Skullgirls in a way since every character is unique. Sadira, Kan-Ra, and Hisako are fun to play as.
Why do people pretend this game is good? It's a shit street fighter/MK clone like half of every other fighting game in existence.
The only fighting games worth playing are smash and skullgirls
>baiting this hard
Everyone knows the only fighting game worth a damn are the Naruto Storm games.
I think you're confused anon.
I have an Xbone
They said something about him not working. Can't remember where I read it but they might figure something out.
Remember how KI was originally made by Double Helix and everyone thought it would be shit then it turned out to be good albeit console exclusive on the less popular 8th gen console?
>early last year
>heard it was heading to windows 10
>windows 10 at the time looked less shit than 8
>windows 10 is confirmed nsa spybox
>no longer want the game
and thats why no one talks about it.
We need a ghost character.
Not Hisako or Omen, if he counts
>Fastest growing OS on steam
>Set to have more installs than Win 7 and be the most used OS by Steam users by Spring
>"NO ONE IS INSTALLING IT"
>YFW PC gamers will get SF V, KOF XIV, GG Relevator and KI without having to buy a console
...you don't really get this whole "fighting game community" thing, do you?
...not like the PC has a fighting game community worth anything (Microsoft really pulled off some unforgivable shit by releasing the worst, most unpopular console in history), but ACTUAL FIGHTING GAMERS (read: people who are not like you) will play the game regardless of what else is on the market.
>will play the game regardless of what else is on the market.
People go where the other people are. That's why nobody plays games like UNIEL or Skullgirls any more. However good a game is, nobody wants to spend half an hour sitting in a lobby waiting for one of the three other people who still play the game to join. When KI finally comes out people will have already invested their time and effort into SFV, so after the launch period (where people will give it a go as a novelty) KI's playerbase on PC will drop like a stone.
It's crossplay though like SFV so it's not like the PC side needs to worry about keeping interest similar to every fighter that has launched on PC.
I fully don't expect it to be as popular as SFV but I don't think it will dwindle either, even though it was the lowest this past year at Evo it had about 80 more players from the previous year, people in the scene are dedicated too
>getting an xbone
Pc/wiiu/3ds/ps4 master race here
Fighting games are meant to be played competitive and SF series will always be the most competitive. KI is literally for other fighting game players to dab into because the game is so fucking easy and brain dead.
>Fighting games are meant to be played competitive and SF series will always be the most competitive. KI is literally for other fighting game players to dab into because the game is so fucking easy and brain dead.
>Dropping anything for Skullgirls
Drop Smash for '98 and XIII.
Killer Instinct doesn't get discussed much because Xbox One isn't a particularly popular console, and unlike the wii u, very few people on /v/ are indoctrinated into a microsoft-only fantasy land and don't play anything else.
Seems like it has a real friendly community though. It probably won't stay that way once the standard /v/ crowd gets a hold of it come march
I just got the free character pack or whatever and started playing a little bit when my friend was over.
I think it ended in like, 20-4, and I had two streaks of 7+ wins while switching around to different characters.
Almost got a thumb blister.
Pretty boring though.
>People in this thread seriously think SFV won't see an Xbone release
End of of 2016, guaranteed. Capcom aren't dumb (Or wealthy) enough to ignore 18+ million users.
>tfw they're dumbing down KI for season 3
for fuck's sake, the game is already pretty easy to pull off commands
>autistically spamming a certain moveset
tell that to Sadira
can't fucking wait for 4K@60 Sadira, holy shit
>I'm talking about launch
Holy shit a SF game won't have an arcade version at launch? YOU'RE JOKING? Of course of won't you fucking tit. Give it 2 months and then arcade version will be out, give it another 2 months and Super Hyper Arcade 2.0 edition will out. Give it another 2 months and the Super Hyper Arcade 2.1 Ultimate edition will be out.
Half the cast is currently free, not exactly just a few. It's the half that has Fulgore and Glacius so it's the best half at any rate.
At any rate, my opinion on KI: It's pretty fun and unique, unique enough that playing it won't feel redundant next to SFV and Xrd Revelator. Don't have an Xbone myself so my playtime has been limited. My PC is a bit outdated, but hopefully the game will be well-optimized. I'd love to play it properly.
>can't even play ASSFAGGOTS
you're bad at PVP, I'm not trying to insult you or anything, ASSFAGGOTS is the easiest PVP genre to get into and you're still bad at it
try getting into a fighting game along with a friend and share knowledge so that you can both improve and one doesn't leave the other in the dust, this is the best way in my opinion to get anywhere in fightan (that's assuming you and your friend are good at videogames in general and won't hit a wall anywhere (no, not everyone is special, no matter how much your parents and teachers have told you))
When have you seen Akuma introduced as Tekken cannon and a main character? When have you seen a vanilla SF game released on console before arcades? When have you seen Capcom release a beta to test online play or announce online tournaments?
Someone using combo assist can easily be caught mashing. Just look at the KV bar then break them with a read. And even then they only have two ender options and harder manuals so they are limiting their choices.
>they only have two ender options and harder manuals so they are limiting their choices.
nevermind, I thought there was going to be no drawback from using that
now I'm happy again, thanks anon
>Basing your entire retarded post on something I never even implied
Christ you're fucking dumb.
I love fighting games and I normally idort, but this time, xbone is not an option and Win10 will never touch my HD. It really came down to SFV vs KI (or whatever other brodude game Xbone claims as an exclusive) and SFV won
Plus, I get the sense that whatever I liked about KI back in the day had more to do with my lack of sophistication in fighting games, rather than it being actually good. I see footage of the new one and it just looks ridiculous, even more than anime fighters. Westerners can't make good fighting games, sorry.
They only have two light auto openers as well, so you just break light whenever you see it. It has the features of the combo path system, but you lose all the flexibility if you use assist because it just means someone more experienced can break your combo early in the path instead of the reads they need to do if you vary your path.
I bet you buy into the frame data meme, don't you?
While useful, you don't need to memorize essentially any numbers to be competent at fighting games.
You just need to know what moves are fast, what moves aren't fast, what moves can be punished, and what moves can't. You don't even have to research it. Just playing the game will help you feel these things out. Fighting games are an incredibly intuitive genre if you go in with a mindset of learning as you play and actually -thinking-. It had to be, because it's a genre that got big in arcades - no manuals or training mode available (back then, at any rate). People have always gotten good without any sort of "autistic knowledge".
Its the only western fighter japan openly embraces
Is kinda the opposite. Autistic ppl have no emotional intelligence. They can't tell when someone is angry, or desperate, or feeling cocky or shit. Frame data means nothing if you can't read your opponent's emotions.
The fact that Daigo , back in the day, could win with Ryu's bread and butters and shiryukens alone, just by reading his opponent's fears is the proof.
Hold on now anon, let's not mislead the guy. There are Japanese KI players, but let's not fool ourselves into thinking it's a popular game over there. More because of the platform than the game itself though, I'm sure. Pity, really. If only arcades were alive enough in the west to justify the existence of KI Arcade, Japan could import those and maybe it really woulda been a sensation.
>yfw you realize you will be harvesting PC users tears with Shadow Jago since they wont have him until IG and MS offer him again
>PC starts becoming definitive leader in FGC
>"B-B-BUH XBONE. NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY IT"
>PC Gets Relevator, V, KI, UNIEL, Melty this year
Why should we care? PC is getting everything. You gonna cling onto your sub-par versions with framerate drops, while the PC has life long communities filled with good players and not salty console shitters?
You afraid PC will become the FGC tournament standard, just like E-sports?
Meltyblood has been on PC forever nerd, maybe if you cared more about playing fighting games instead of just collecting them like pokemon cards you'd realize why mustards have that annoying sterotype
>"B-B-BUH WIN 10"
PC wins. Get stabbed.
I like the game.
I'm not very good at it, but it's so much fun. I love the style of the game, the graphics are pretty neat which is suprising considering how every Xbone games looks ugly in my opinion.
I know a lot of people seem to hate the Xbone here because of its awful launch and bad performance compared to the PS4, but I like the Xbone - the controller, games, and everything about it is neat.
How is KI's future on PC relevant to the game's current Japanese popularity, the subject of my post?
Ah, right. It's not.
You're just one of those morons that gives other PC users a bad name, shoving yourself into every conversation where a console exists. Got it.
Its pretty good, but lacks that nice bit of polish that makes the animations look fluid like street fighter, its a little overwhelming to learn though with the combo breakers and whole combo system
