i actually couldn't play the game because of this guy
every time it showed his picture i was just like, "some sort of ankle funnel?"
This dude is clearly prepared for anything, whether it's spare change for the homeless or a dangerous pizza shortage. You can't hate him for being practical
Final Fantasy Tactics A2 and the character design is pretty much an outlier. That sword doesn't even show up in the game outside of a summon.
Another pizza worker coming thru
THESE ARE THE MOST OBNOXIOUS EXAMPLES OF BAD JRPG COSTUMES I'VE EVER SEEN AND I LOVE IT
No, it's just really, unbelievably overdesigned and awful. All those tassels, holy shit. Plus, there's only one belt, that's not the issue. You'd have to be either blind or entirely lacking in taste to not see how bad this is.
...and I fucking love it
what's the deal with japanese characters and belts?
whatever it is, I like it.
>unique and generic unit
anon, I thought that was quite easy to understand
What I mean is the art style itself is completely different. Compare this
D&D started it and it caught on in Japan and never stopped.
This is 100% a buzzword.
Why. I don't think the design is excellent, but at least it isn't bland and an utter eyesore. It's a fucking fantasy world, people dress fucking differently than generic Europe man.
simple. Generics were used just for development purposes. And as a filler in artbook and manual.
While Uniques were used as promo material as well and for sure needed way more quality art and time to be put in them.
Artstyle is the same tho, just different amount of time put into.
One thing I like, despite people shitting on the designs is that the general fashion of human characters in the world is pretty damn consistent,
I don't give a flying fuck about realism or practicality in terms of dress and aesthetic, but I fucking need consistency.,
dunno, anon. FFTA seems consistent enough for me. Just as with all older games - concept art/illustrations can clash with game itself a lot.
I'd say inconsistency it's when main character on box art has different hair color than one in the game.
That's not really design that's more like details.
I meant like internal consistency in the game. Generally speaking the Humes and Revaji or Ivalice keep the generally same mode of dress.
Isn't it obvious?
whatever you want them to be.
>I meant like internal consistency in the game. Generally speaking the Humes and Revaji or Ivalice keep the generally same mode of dress.
I see. I played very little of FFTA, so I guess that's why I can't see inconsistency.
>no new FFTA game or romhack at least about an ideologic, ethnic and racial war between the nu mous, bangaas and humes
Why did FFTA fuck up the design so much. They had the perfect fucking templates for character design.
PSX has less lag, and the script is 90% less Shakespeare. PSP doesn't have the famous gaffes of the PSX dub ("Dycedarg's elder Brother!," summoning the dark lord "Rich") but also doesn't have its famous exchanges (Pic related). Watch a little gameplay of both on YouTube, and see which script you like better. You aren't missing many special features if you stick with PSX
Considering the fact that I don't think you ever see the ankle funnel ever in the game, that is a pretty pathetic reason to not play what is a pretty cool game.
I actually like Marche's design. Its ridiculous, no doubt about it, but it is interesting and doesn't get too crazy aside from the pizza cutter. Maybe I have a high tolerance for JRPG design bullshit. Luso just goes overboard.
People don't like bestial races in general, because they can't be kawaii, so nu mou, bangaa, and pigmen would never be used :^)
>there are people that don't like the elegance of the bangaa armors or they code of honor
How is this possible
You got ssssome nerve pal, do you realize your moggle friend issn't here to sssave your hume assssss?
