Macfag here, I feel like only 20% of games on Steam are even available on my OS.
What do I do?
My dad is a lifelong Mac user, bought an Apple II in like 1984 and has been loyal to them ever since. He bought me it as a college graduation present not really knowing I would use it for gaming.
not buying a PC for $1000 when I'm probably only gonna old games and platformers anyway. But it seems like the consensus in this thread is to install Bootcamp. Which version of Windows should I use btw?
Why buy another system if the Mac is more than capable to run the games OP wants to play.
>not buying a PC for $1000 when I'm probably only gonna old games and platformers anyway
Are you literally retarded? Viruses and adware haven't been a thing since mid 2000's unless you're computer illiterate.
Do it, Op, otherwise you'll miss out on all these game!
>been running without AV for over a decade
I'm never 100% sure whether people who actually get viruses nowadays are just mentally handicapped or if my PC is infested with viruses and I've never noticed anything going wrong.
That's bullshit. I use both my Windows PC and Macbook with no real difference other than some software here and there. At best, my mac is a Unix machine with training wheels so the tech illiterate don't cut themselves on the sharp edges.
Fair enough I suppose.
They are minimalistic, at the cost of having laptop parts. Less parts and less cables = prettier.
They are quite convenient for the average person but if you need more juice they don't really cut it, unless you want to invest in the trash can.
The quality of their screens are pretty damn good though, they end up matching the price of whatever you had to buy.
If you don't care about the screen then I guess yeah, doesn't matter.
>tfw you can't get windows on your macbook because of no money for windows
>pirate the software you say!
>tfw your optical drive died like 6 years ago and you have to burn the windows software to a disc in order for it to work
I've had a 2009 MBP for years and shit's great. I can't fucking stand Windows, but I still play games on it.
Pirating Windows is legit the easiest thing possible. What consequences could there even be?
>and you have to burn the windows software to a disc in order for it to work
OP if you have a rather recent Mac you could easily sell that shit for hundreds if not a thousand. Buy your own parts, and make a dual boot hackintosh and windows PC with good gaming capabilities.
Apple's price performance ratio is fucking BALLS for what you pay.
