I got goosebumps from the trailer.
Yeah I think companies should get into some sort of trouble for such false advertising. No pre-alpha build of anything has that sort of visual fidelity. Pre-alphas have levels that consist of empty Unreal-checkerboard rooms for testing basic AI and controls.
When I first saw it all I could think about is that it looks like GTA V which they were most likely going for, also it's pre-alpha which means it will be nothing like the trailer.
Sounds more like something an Austrian would say.
So marketing really has changed the definition of alpha and beta builds. Interesting. I know It hasn't change for actual devs but it is interesting to see people actually eat up that level of focus grouped horseshit
They know exactly how naming works. That's why they are doing it wrong on purpose. When you underestimate your audience, you can call a near-finished product "pre-alpha" to somehow create the illusion that "wow, if this is pre-alpha, imagine how amazing 1.0 is going to be!"
I had a lot of fun with the co-op in Future Soldier, but that's a few years ago now. Nowadays Ubisoft games have a high tendency to release in an almost unplayable state. So I'll wait and see. Same goes for The Division. I don't have any expectations for these games.
Nonono, see... you're being decieved. You think this Ubisoft game looks cool, but it's just that the music in the end is reminding you of Dredd.
>Ubisoft Open World Shooter with tacked-on Tom Clancy license
Yeah, that's gonna be great. Can't wait to climb those radio towers on my way to destroying enemy hideouts.
If they can pull off half the shit they promised from that first 'real time' 'gameplay' with the ability to swap solo and competitive multiplayer just by going to different parts of the city, I'd be fucking amazed.
Then again, Watchdogs should be all the proof you need that the bulk of their budget goes to marketing
I dont even know how many times ive been floored by some open world trailer with awesome gameplay and graphics and have it all ripped away the second I got my hands on it
They cant keep getting away with this bros
I'm not even worried about bugs, I'm worried that this will be Far Cry: now with your own squad. If Ubisoft can't break from its own sandbox formula, I'm done with them and I guess that most in this sub think exactly the same way.
>in this sub
I hope you're in the navy, faggot.
so who's gonna play The Division beta among you people
i n t h i s s u b
I don't want to give Ubisoft any more money after 2014. As much as I'd love a more tactical third person shooter I want the open world meme to die already.
I just can't trust that Ubisoft WON'T fuck this up somehow. I bet my bottom dollar it will have:
>vantage points you have to scale to reveal the map
>majorly downgraded graphics
>respawning enemy camps that need to be "liberated" or some bullshit
>no mission variety
Yeah, can't wait.
