Just started Persona 3.
Should I go to the Tartarus everyday?
Which Social Links should I main?
Should I fuse every persona I have?
Any tips & tricks are welcome, also persona thread in general
fuse personas for exp bonuses and to inherit adopt useful moves onto a new persona with useful base moves
no reason to fuse without first building social links unless it's to get a particular move onto another persona
No, a few times in Tartarus per month is fine as long as you can make it to the gated off area each month, use evenings to raise your charm/courage/knowledge
School social links should done first, as there are tons of days later on where you can't do shit in school
Do the little girl in the park and the brown girl for a few ranks asap to unlock dying man and old monk
MMO link and dying man can only be done on Sundays (or vacation days for the MMO link), so be sure to do those
Just fuse shit that looks cool, if you fuck up you can always just pull shit back out of the compendium
If you're stuck on a boss with a weakness you can just tell everyone to do nothing and stunlock them with their weakness and not doing a followup attack
Persona is a game about your Persona and social links, not about YOU.
Level up social links, and fuse personas to get high level Personas.
Do NOT spend hours grinding Orpheus!
Go into Tartarus until you reach a gate and then ignore it until story prompts the gate to get unlocked, then repeat for the next gate. Other than that you should be primarily focusing on S Links. It's impossible to get all of them on 1st playthrough without using a guide by the wya.
Do Emperor and Strength social links
Emperor gives you Odin if memory serves haven't played this game in a while, who has Thunder Reign, elec skill that has a 100% guranteed Shock status ailment effect when you use it, and Strength gives you Thor who is all around good and resists Physical attacks I think, also has a nice phys skill but really shit magic stat, you need like level 60 and 50 for those two respectively though.
Don't do that nigger, ever, Tartarus is just to level up a bit and not have problems with bosses later on, the only important thing is getting your stats high as possible, as some of the social links are blocked behind your stats, for example if your academics is low you can't be with the red haired slut.
Always remember that Chihiro is best waifu.
Going to Tartarus every day will fuck your shit up, just climb as much as you possibly can then stop when you hit the limit. Shouldn't take long, three days max.
Do classmate social links first because they can't be done at all during time off.
Fuse personas regularly, rely on initial bonus EXP from social links to max Personas out rather than grinding.
Finish Star S.link as soon as posible
Climb up Tartarus until you reach a barrier, they get removed with each full moon, so you can pretty much do it in one night and leave the rest of the month to bond with people
Use tactics and scan enemies regulary, the AI benefits from this even if you can't see the enemy's weaknes.
Get Helel and Satan as soon as posible.
>Little girl in park lets you make the dick-cart
>She will never see him again
Don't feel like you need to grind to much because you can beat the final boss at like 60~
If you're not playing portable then remember not to get too frustrated at the ally AI, because you can do just about everything yourself anyways
Yukari best girl
Trumpeter can literally carry you through the back half of the game. When you get near the end keep Cybele handy unless you run dual healers. Yukari a shit. Don't let /v/ guilt trip you into using stupei if you don't like him.
But Aigis is best girl anon. Yukari was ok until the shit that was The Anwsers.
I'm sorry you seem to have posted the wrong girl. It's okay, happens all the time.
Please no arguing guys. Let OP pick for himself in the end, who he likes, and that's it. They're all good in their own way.
Also another tip is to have multiple save files, in case things happen that you don't have favorable spread out, and you can go back to a previous date. Time management and all.
No one should give a fuck about the answer to be honest. It's like people who really consider the canon of dancing all night etc for 4
I went with Aegis, Akihiko and Yukari. Aegis for buffs, Akihiko for debuffs, Yukari for healing and Minato's revolving door of Personas murders everything needs murdering.
I still liked Aigis more, but really fuck The Answers.
It is still canon and always will be through.
Persona 1 > Persona 3 > Persona 4 > Persona 2
>Tail end of the fight
>two good hits away from finishing off Nyx
>that one fucking attack Charms Aigis
>I ended up crying over my defective toaster and needed a break for about five minutes
>still finished the fight on that same save
>he doesn't like meatwall bosses
Nyx can't even decide to one shot your party at random, stop being casual
>if able to beat death and get to monado
Perhaps, but atleast in Persona 4 you don't have to play for 60 hours until the game gets a story. Persona 3 have no story except "go to Tartarus" and "kill big bad boss shadows" for 2/3rds of the game.
Do the S.links you like, don't worry about doing them all
Visit tartarus like everey 3 days or so
Always register before fusing
Always scan all the enemies, even bosses
>a real SMT
inb4 autists meme on you about Megaten and SMT not being the same thing
Just hit mid September and I've got maxed stats and my night social links are almost maxed. I guess from here I just fuck around with my day S. Links and sleep or Tartarus at night?
I've got chariot and justice maxed and strength is around 9. Everything else is mixed up.
No it's not. In P4 you get involed from the get go with the double murders. The story keeps you interested and engages you throughout the entire game. In P4 you have literally nothing except "go to Tartarus" and "defeat boss ahdows" for most of the game, you then realize that you fucked up and have to defeat the big bad. It's a mess and I would not be surprised if OP quit before even getting there and drop Persona for good. I haven't even mentioned then that there's no S-links except for the female party members and that you are basically forced to romance all of them unless you ignore the S-links entirely.
Been replaying P3FES on an emulator, haven't encountered a bug at all, there is some slowdown during the classroom or auditorium scenes with choppy audio and all, but just throw on the fix in the menus and potentially use a different graphics plugin if I recall and it fixes it just fine.
depends if you consider unlocking the framerate to save yourself at least 10 hours a bug of glitch.
emulation is the way to go, fuck "running" like an old person in the dungeons
If you are on FES pay attention that S links have a Reverse countdown (google it the explanation is big).
Until they are maxed you will need a lot of time to raise Social Stats to unlock more S Links so visit Tartarus only once a month to clear quests, grind and farm money.
And bizarre as may look the arcade is the best way to raise Social Stats.
>A double murder of two people that literally noone cares about and then a game of "I wonder who's gonna become a party member this month" and the "NO IT WAS ACTUALLY ME ALL ALONG" villain bonanza
And I prefer the actual characters not having S-links, at least that means they are able to actually develop throughout the story
Them having Social Links isn't necessarily a problem. In P3 the girl's social links were more like side development that didn't affect the story or their development in it. The P4 cast's development was pushed entirely to Social links.
