hey /v/ today I bought a ps2 and a bunch of games from someone for 10 dollaroodies. Can you guys tell me whats the rarest game in the collection also subtle game collection thread, extra games from the batch in the next post.
nothing rare there.
but it was probably worth the 10 bucks.
keep expanding and buy some great PS2 games anon!
got it for 7.30€ used in
also got a bunch in the mail still comming but it's late because of snow...
Not the best collection, some of my games got stolen 6 years ago and i've been slow to refill my collection. Gen 6 is definitely the gen I appreciate the most, it hit a sweet spot in technology, graphical fidelity, while still being reasonable to develop for in terms of cost, time, and creativity.
well the games do look kinda ass though.
this is captured with an elgato 720p and component.
I'm just saying i tried going back to some PS2 trash. some of wich are so fucking ugly, not even the charming simplistic PS1 ugly just really hard to look at and make shit out.
meh it's gonna be fine but there really was a jump from PS2 to PS3.
What game is this?
What PS2 should I make sure to emulate? Playing through Okami right now. The game is ok, but I wouldn't call it a hidden gem. Some of the mechanics are bullshit.
>Text is slow as fuck
>Can't fast forward text during "cutscenes"
>Figure out small puzzle but can't interact with character/object to solve it until I talk to someone else and reach the proper point in the sidequest
>Brush system is shitty but maybe due to hardware restraints
>Straight lines over enemies sometimes create a straight line of flowers
Okami is fucking great but really fucking long too.
Not much of a hidden gem since everyone knows that it's good.
Game is Death by Degrees featuring Nina Williams from the Tekken series
This is most of mine, I haven't finished unpacking and organizing my games. I also have a bunch that are disc only not pictured in case someone is going to freak out over missing some titles like SH2.
I've been moving away from PS2 recently though. I'll probably end up selling the stuff that has better versions on other systems
Literally $15 new and sealed on amazon
ya, well as long as you have it it's all good
nice horror games.
I'm jealous. I found Fatal Frame 2 about 3 years ago but it was too pricey for me at the time. Doesn't help that I live in a state that goes gaga for retro shit so people jack the prices locally.
What are you complaining about then? in yurop not only FF/PZ 2 copies hard to find but they are also 45€ each.
The first and third game however is cheap and common. (for now)
Yeah, 6th gen has been having a slow creep in price lately. I just bought RE3 and Killer 7 for GCN because they've been slowly climbing in price
I don't buy games to resell them but it's nice to know I'll pretty much always be able to get at least what I paid for something.
this is the list of shit i have comming soon, really excited to be spooked.
only project Zero 1 is somewhat available for cheaps.
2 and 3 are rare as fuck and only have like one overpriced offer on Amazon.
>bought Persona 3 FES for 12 bucks in 2013
>now 80 bucks used
this is for germany ofcourse i know that it's still cheap in burgerland
>10 bucks for that
damn, nice dude
battle for bikini bottom is the best sm64 clone ive ever played
budokai games were fun, but i dont know shit about fighting games so i might be retarded
finished re4 today
ive got silent hill 2 coming in the mail and im either gonna start playing that or digital devil saga
is drakengard good?
Digital Devil Saga is my favorite JRPG when combined with part 2
Silent Hill 2 is my favorite survival horror
You can't go wrong
Drakengard is...an acquired taste. It isn't fun to play, i'll say that.
PS2 collection thread? I know there is a bunch of filler, but there is a bunch of good stuff too. Plus, the filler is all super cheap.
alright guys after playing a couple games on the ps2, I noticed the AV cables the dude had are terribad can't see an inch ahead of me. So I'm guessing I gotta get HD component AV cables.
