My PC is a piece of shit so I actually pirate stuff first to see if it'll run on my system. Steam does refunds now, but with only 2 hours I don't think I'd have enough time to get the stress testing fully done. When Skyrim came out it actually took me the whole day of fucking with settings to check if the game runs well enough in a variety of locations, and mind you this was back when performance mods weren't a thing yet, most of those are fucking essential too.

I really like using steam though. It's easy and all your games are in one place. Get them on sale and it's pretty much worth it.

But I have no problem with piracy. I've been cheated too many times by false reviews and shiny videos. Sometimes the cracked version is even better for various reasons. As long as I'm paying ~$10 tops for games I can live with it. If I really wanted to play a $60 game I guess I'd pirate. I have no faith a modern AAA title will be worth the price.

Beat'em ups are not usually my thing. I don't usually like doing the same thing over and over hence the lower price since it's not my usual genre.

However, the art looks so good, the voice work is great, and the combat is fluid so I was willing to pay more. It still feels like no more than $30 to me but again, this is not my favorite genre. To you, if you like this stuff, I can see it easily being worth more.
