It's going to be the same as last year, just without SFIV. Wizard already said that Evo isn't going to be able to hold two 2000+ man SF tournaments unless they extend it to 4 days, and they didn't do that this year. Meaning, SFIV is gone. I'm sure there will be a 2v2 side tournament like 3S had the year SFIV came out.

well, there is more money in it than ever before. Dreamhack Winter had a 30k prize pot for doubles and singles. SMash Summit had a little more than that.

Smash 4 is getting it's last DLC in february, it wont be dropped, it will be added again and maybe dropped next year.

It had more entries than its previous year though even if it was the lowest in 2015, just shows Evo has grown a lot.

It's getting in for sure though, MS is going all in with funding and attempting to compete with Sony and SFV

There's probably going to be more because of the PC release and the scene is growing. Last years Top 32 and grand finals being fucking insane probably helped as well. KI scene is also a lot how MK was when MK9 came out. They show up to every event even with the scene running online tournaments. Its small but hardcore and growing. They even have their own event at the end of this month.

It will probably get more than last year. Probably a little more than anime.
