I have always enjoyed World at War and still do. Played the hell out of that game. The other ones just aren't really my thing though I enjoyed the campaign of Black Ops 1 well enough

It was good enough. I grinded dark matter out fairly quickly. I can't say as I enjoyed myself as much as I used to though. I don't even have the "muh childhood excuse." Hell COD2 came out my senior year of high school. Honestly the problem with newer CODs is like 3 things to me.

They try to hard to make things "fair and balanced" which fucking sucks. I don't want shitty killstreaks. Killstreaks are half the fucking point of the game. Now they have specialists. I have multiple games where the only thing kills me are war machines or tempest chain kills onto me as I run by. The specialists are not replacements for good killstreaks. Why the fuck do I have to get an 18 kill streak for a shittier version of an AC-130 that people can just explode the fuck out of with launchers that have 4 backup shots.

Competitive maps. I'm not fucking playing CoD for competition. I play CoD when I want to take a break from CS. These three lane maps are so dull because if you played one of them you played 90% of them. Every single map is a chokepoint fest with a big center area for people to run out, get a kill, then die. Then you have the "flank route" which is just another shitty lane that doesn't actually allow you to flank since the route goes DIRECTLY into the enemy spawn so it flips. Fuck that. Give me old maps that are wide open. Hell the most linear MW2 map was Afghan and even that was just a series of open areas that formed a giant circle with a tunnel in the middle.

Lastly the last one can't be helped, but half the fun of the game was playing with my friends. I used to struggle to have less than 6 players and we would have to go "sorry but we have 7 see ya later Eric." but now I'm lucky if I see a friend online playing a fucking game once a week. I see 9 of my IRL friends online but it's always fucking Netflix and Twitch and Hulu. Everyone is "muh kids" and "muh wife" now which to be fair we are 30 but holy shit so am I and I make it work.

That's just not true though. I don't defend much in CoD games but the baseline delay was less than half of BO2's. The game from a mechanical "point the gun and shoot" standpoint is great compared to AW and BO2. Funny enough Ghosts actually had the single best hit detection and netcode of any CoD ever(including MW and MW2) but people hated it because the guns suddenly "killed too fast" even though they were the same fucking time to kills as always, just had better netcode. Ghosts just suffered from having 6 people in the world playing at any time so you just had actual lag out the ass.

I just went back and replayed the series up to MW3 recently. They're not bad but MW3 was definitely the mark of the series' imminent death-by-retardation. It completely lost all tension at what should have been the series' most tense point. Getting to summon A-10s to rain BRRRRRRT upon your enemies was the only good thing about it. Can't comment on the multiplayer because I never even both with it, but I assume that that's what everyone's real problems with the game are- cancerous underaged fanbase, killstreaks, etc. But the Singleplayer was still alright.

They really separated the men from the boys this time by removing aim assist. It's not even an option, because you have 3 shot kill AR's, which do have Aim Assist, which will demolish you before you can even look at them, let alone scope in. Sniping is not an option in this game.

That was true until their server's got fucked a week ago. I wasn't having much trouble until then, but now I've got a minimum 100+ ping no matter what I'm playing on there. All the other games on my comp are fine with few issues (I've got a 60 mpbs internet connection) but bo3 has given me nothing but trouble.

Also, I just realized that you misinterpreted my first post. I meant "every other" call of duty as in skipping a few. ghost admittedly had pretty decent netcode, but the spawn system was shitty and I didn't enjoy extinction mode that much so I ended up skipping it anyways. mp is fun for a bit but the survival mode is always where I log the most hours.

I don't mind no aim assist but sniping is a joke in this game. Considering good sniping is all about positioning, and the spawn flipping every thirty seconds, it's hard to maintain an advantage when you're going to have three guys coming for your ass at any time. And then they make sniper rifles like the p-06 (finishing the challenges for this weapon was an absolute nightmare and I'm glad it's over). Having a delay to fire when you're already at a disadvantage is just bullshit.

You can't be serious, it's easily outclassed by the other three weapons in it's category. SVG and locus both top it instantly by being able to immediately fire, making it much easier to kill people on reaction and pick people off, and the drakon has the advantage of being able to spam it somewhat accurately so you can be more lenient with your aim and still roast people. It also makes for a very good counter to the other snipers as it's much easier to challenge them from the great distances since most sniper's will stop peeking once they get fired at until they think they're safe. p-06 is just going to get you killed by people who aren't morons and take two seconds to get their sights on you. Not sure what advantages you get by choosing the p-06, I can't recall any aside from a decent default scope that discarded in exchange for the ridiculously good elo sight. How exactly is the p-06 godlike?

I have been playing since June. Jtagers seem to be rare. I was accused of having a redbox some constant uav or something. The real problem is jitter shotguns and people using shotguns 90% of the time. Jitters really ruin search especially. There's always gamebattles if you're good enough.
