So far, you can't date your little sisters.
They took out the bathhouse and censored the clothes.
They took out the rubbing mini game because it was considered too creepy
Not sure about anything else OP
The Camilla thing is a blatant lie, anon. Her outfit is intact on the English website and in the most recent gameplay videos from GameExplain and IGN. Do some research. We no official information on the extent of censorship.
IT JUST NOT FUCKING FAIR
I THOUGHT NINTENDO CARED ABOUT US GAMERS
That her clothes are intact doesn't mean angles in cutscenes weren't changed. Either way I'm waiting until we see solid evidence that the localization is fucked. Corrin's thighs in smash don't give me much hope.
IT JUST NOT FUCKING FAIR
What will likely happen is the dialogue will get tone down through skinship and bath house outfits will get censored.
But you never know, NoA could be really evil and do more.
Meanwhile us sonybros get glorious lewd games uncensored :)
If this turns out to be as heavily censored as I fear, I'm just giving up
If they're going to replace good gameplay and stories with waifus at least keep that fucking intact, otherwise we're left with nothing
I'm just going to wait for the fan-translation to be less shit at this point.
There no point in rewarding these assholes money.
SK2 flopped pretty hard and It's doing great on sony consoles.
Not sure why you'd think they make another one for it, but It's okay I won't judge you for being delusional.
I'm an actual time traveling loli from the future and I know he's right. Screenshot this and soon you will see.
Isn't it kind of worrying how Fire Emblem is sort of mirroring Shinning Force now? Both were worrying about losing relevant at large, so they decided to go for a change in art style and more "pendering" route with the games and now it's affecting the franchise in a negative way.
>they decided to go for a change in art style and more "pandering" route with the games and now it's affecting the franchise in a negative way.
Did Ruthea being changed to Lucius make you enjoy FE7 any less? Did Cougar being changed to Cormag significantly change your experience of FE8? Did Muddy being changed to Mordecai negatively affect your playthrough of FE9?
Even if you put it between quotation marks, your statement still doesn't make any sense.
If it's affecting the franchise in a negative way, not really, FE never had more exposition until now, so the franchise is doing fine.
Now, if you are talking about the quality of the games and if they are what a long time fan would like, yeah, we might have a problem there.
The gameplay is the only thing it has going on for it now.
It's still medieval, yes, but a lot more modern anime fantasy than before.
Character designer is the biggest thing that killed Shinning Force, and it could very well happen to FE since the circumstances are the same.
>not downgrading your 3ds and pirating it
cmon /v/ it's so fucking easy you just need a brain and an sd card
That's not true, you also need to something that reads SD cards, which I don't have
Fortunately I'm a NEET and my parent's laptop is the only thing in my house with that ability
>People genuinely saying they will cancel their preorder if things have been censored.
Fuck sake, do you think Nintendo are worried about losing a bunch of fat neck bears who cry over their Waifu being downgraded in the game?
While I admit censoring things is over the top, it's hardly a deal breaker. If the game itself is good then I'll buy it. I've not read up much on the gameplay yet but I'll probably read up shortly prior to release over here so I can decide whether to get it or not.
script rewrites and changing game balance (unless it's fixing something truly problematic in the game's design, not lowering the difficulty because you underestimate the intelligence of the audience) shouldn't be accepted as ok.
HEy did you know in the japanese version of Awakening you can choose to not have a voice and be a mute for the whole game. Dialogue significantly changed as a result and made the protagonist a lot better.
But no let's not complain about that let's complain about name changes and a dark sorcerers's ass being covered by a cloth.
>not all localization is censorship
But why lie to yourself?
How's Lunatic in Fates? I really hated it in Awakening because you either got your ass beat by playing normally (ie using lots of units and distributing exp) or it was completely trivial if you just levelled 2 or 3 units and have them solo the entire game
>The ability to assign the tactician a blood type was cut, since blood type is significantly less important in western culture than it is in Japan. Its effect on determining the tactician's affinity was removed and affinity is now decided only by birth month.
>The terrain bonuses granted by gates and thrones were reduced.
>The effective damage multiplier applied to weapon might was reduced in most cases.
>Lyn as a Blade Lord will use her normal battle sprites and animations when wielding the Sol Katti. The localization added a unique set of Sol Katti animations.
>Many bosses had their stats slightly lowered.
>In Chapter 27E/29H, the bosses Lloyd and Linus both wield Runeswords in the NTSC-J version. The localization changed this to give them Light Brands, although Nils's augury for the chapter ("I sense a dire foe in the battle ahead. The weapon he wields is cursed. A sword that steals life energies and feeds them to its wielder.") was not changed to reflect this.
>In the Final Chapter, two doors open at the end of every second turn in the NTSC-J version, and both Uhai and Kenneth's rooms are open at the start of the chapter. The localization changed this to open one door at the end of every turn and to have only Uhai's room is open at the start.
>Lyn's age was increased by editing by editing one line from Sain in Chapter 1, going from 15 years old in the Japanese script to 18 years old in localized scripts. Similarly, her mother Madelyn is said to have abandoned Caelin 19 years prior to the game's events in the localizations, instead of just 16 years prior as in Japanese. However, Wallace and Kent's C-rank support conversation was not edited to reflect this, and still claims that Madelyn and Hassar eloped 17 years prior to Eliwood/Hector's story; the correct figure according to the localization should be 20 years prior.
Hey, boobs are scary man.
>Boobs get removed from Nintendo game
>Homosexuality gets removed from Nintendo
You Americans and your Feminist pandering make it bad for us all.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME UNTIL A WEEK AFTER RELEASE.
DO NOT PRE-ORDER.
NINTENDO IS PAYING OFF REVIEWERS AND SITES TO HIDE NEWS OF CENSORED CONTENT.
DO NOT BUY CENSORED GAMES.
I'm using the uncensored version on my 5.3.2 Wii U.
If it's anything like fatal frame, we're not going to hear anything about censorship until smaller niche reviewers get their hands on it.
Waiting for the localization uncensor/undub/name revert patch.
If you were smart you'd do it too.
So everyone is complaining that the gameplay and story has been stripped out, making it nothing but Moe pseudo-incest to entice gamers.
BUT it will all also be censored to shit, due to:
>the removal of one slider in a JPRG to make a female character's boobs bigger
>horror game that has the no doubt underage main characters in lingerie, for some ungodly reason.
>A Persona Fire Emblem game where they changed a woman from wearing hotpants to much more sensible clothing. Because god forbid.
If you ask me, I'm glad these games are being censored. It's making the perverts butthurt, and that makes me kek.
>inb4 underage, I am a straight male in my early 30's
Yea but if it removes story and gameplay to make it nothing but Moe pseudo-incest to entice gamers then why do they censor it as well? That is something that neither party wants because it pleases no one.
Script won't be stilted and amateur, all censorship will be removed, if there's no dual audio the jap voices will be added, names that annoy you will be changed back.
Don't see how it won't be better unless you're bothered the fan patch will fall out of use/relevance.
I think it's more that it shows how entitled the gaming market is. And how quickly they will turn away from a product because of some minor cutscene or feature taken out that ultimately has no impact on the overall gameplay.
>>NINTENDO IS PAYING OFF REVIEWERS AND SITES TO HIDE NEWS OF CENSORED CONTENT.
They don't have to spend a dime on that, nobody gives as much a shit about this stuff as you people do.
Yup yup, let's not forget how they also feel so entitled to games which aren't broken messes full of bugs and how they feel entitled to owning the games that they buy without needing to spend double on DLC just to get the full game.
This childish entitlement is ruining the industry.
Exactly! so how about we all just playing these childish toys and worry about getting educations and bettering ourselves instead of just needing to smoke the shit coming out of the crack dealer's butt.
Maybe we as gamers should clean ourselves up and take a hard look at our lives and think that this is really stupid.
I.. don't know what point you're trying to make?
If anything that harms the fan translation even more..?
When the localization process changes a Japanese pop culture reference to a pop culture reference for the new audience, it's not censorship.
When nip nonsense like the clumsy maid's exclamation of "awawawawa!" Is changed to something emotionally equivalent but understandable for the new audience, it's not censorship.
Writing dog-killing or incest out of the script because it's "unacceptable" or "offensive" in someone's opinion for the new audience is censorship.
>Writing dog-killing or incest out of the script because it's "unacceptable" or "offensive" in someone's opinion for the new audience is censorship.
>DIE DIE EVERYONE WILL DIE I LOVE BATHING IN THE BLOOD OF MY FOES
>oh but euthanize that dog i don't want him to suffer
NoA was right.
Not that guy but
>When the localization process changes a Japanese pop culture reference to a pop culture reference for the new audience
Is definitely censorship. Localisers are always afraid that their audience knows zero about other Japanese media and it really warps the experience when they stick some Western shit in there.
People are just mad that the fan translation didn't turn out to be the "based anti-treehouse alternative" didn't turn out like their high expectations had hoped.
Which was stupid because that translation begun in the summer with the sole purpose of "beating the treehouse" rather than for the sake of "avoiding censorship/memes", the latter was not the case until the fall where they used as an motivation to continue the project rather than outright censor it in order to gain brownie points from the Fire Emblem and greater Nintendo community.
But then they did no proofreading or playtesting and released a rushed patch just to say they had the game out first before the treehouse, thereby ruining their credibility for future projects (lol
>there are people that think the japanese release is uncensored
>they aren't even aware of boardroom politics that go on to make sure the game gets the lowest rating possible under CERO guidelines
You guys crack me up.
No, it's not. 90% of Western audiences don't know about weeb culture you weeb.
The exception should be when the game is blatantly targeted to the niche audience that would understand.
>Writing dog-killing or incest out of the script because it's "unacceptable" or "offensive" in someone's opinion for the new audience is censorship.
most localisations do this to some degree, mostly in the form of removing offhand risqué jokes
This isn't changing rice balls to jelly donuts 4Kids levels of retarded localization.
This is HEY LET'S REFERENCE A POP IDOL NO ONE OUTSIDE OF MOONLAND WILL GET! levels.
Get off your high horse just because your weeb ass gets it doesn't mean 99.9% of everyone else playing it will.
That's great honey but the original topic was about Fates not Awakening and about the fan translation not the official one. Keep up.
From the 25th Anniversary Artbook.
They had to censor Camilla's cutscene just to retain the rating they have now.
Honestly though, I'm not from Japan so I've never even seen a rice ball before, I had no idea what one was until I saw these kind of threads that complain about it. I know what a donut is so that makes sense to me.
>I'm not from Japan so I've never even seen a rice ball before,
It's fun. I don't care that the battle mechs were renamed Skell from Doll or that I can't see an ugly 13-year-old in skimpy outfits without underclothes.
The removal of the boobslider and the complete retardation the prompted the change of the fundoshi suck, but not enough to ruin the game.
>inb4 it's the principle of the thing!
I can't learn Japanese and the end of censorship isn't going to start with me or the small number people boycotting censored games.
>fan translation is unproofread rushed memeshit
>localization is CENSORED
IT'S J U S T NOT FUCKING FAIR
WHY DIDN'T I JUST IMPORT?
You are everything wrong with the industry and are ruining video games for everyone else just to serve your selfish wants.
Please off yourself in the most painful way you can at the most convenient opportunity.
This game was censored so hard they removed all the content from it.
lewd skinship dialogue, literally all of it you would think it's from a hentai
dlc beach CG (NA only) because of tharja cover up
some support dialogue fixing gayness etc
swimsuits and any mildly lewd dialogue towards and from young looking characters
even thought not real incest they will tone it down because the avatar grew up with them as brother and sisters and they can fuck
also can fuck your cousin
awakening got censored with much less than this it will 100% get censored
so does this, you can zoom in on underboobs in the swimsuit etc
It's in one of the Treehouse streams from last year's E3. cba finding it but I think it was near the beginning iirc.
In any case, "Doll" is an English word, why would they change it apart from creepiness?
>also can fuck your cousin
This isn't directly mentioned in the Japanese version, it's something the player has to put together, no one comments on the relation or even picks it up (the characters are all really retarded tbqh).
Removing the boob slider implies that only one type a breast size exists, and I would say actually negatively impacts a player's experience. Any girl wanting to, say, design a character in their image wouldn't be able to because apparently boob sliders are "pervert nerd shit."
A 13 year old in "skimpy outfits" is only as bad as the person viewing it. I won't deny that it was put in as fan service, but it's not as if 13 year olds don't wear bikinis. And if you think that you should probably get out more.
I just find it mind boggling that people get so uptight about things that might be "too sexual" when violence and gore should be considered much worst.
Well, I don't know. I don't find anything creepy about Doll being used.
Skell sounds cooler anyway, a robotic skeleton.
Besides, Doll, Gear, Guymelef, there's all sorts of names for "giant robot."
Homosexual relationships were among the first things NoA announced about Fates, NoJ didn't even comment on it whatsoever.
Humor me guys, lets stick to facts here.
What do we know they changed for sure and is the reason they changed it viable?
>Source? I don't doubt you guys, just want to be sure before I cancel my preorder.
From what I've seen going around and in here, it appears nintendo is keeping it under wraps so that people don't call them out on their bullshit. You will have to buy the game first before you can pin point what went wrong. It's still censored but what and to what degree is mostly unknown so far. That's really shitty of Ninty to do that.
You know, that reminds me. Why the fuck are companies so goddamn elusive and mysterious about this stuff? I mean, if you're going to chop content and censor things, just be blunt and honest with me. I'm going to be pissed either way, but at least being up front about it saves us all the trouble of waiting.
The "(lol" seems to be a note the retarded TL put into the script expecting it to be removed in the editing process that never happened. I've seen similar notes appear in official game releases. That doesn't make a better than an added meme though.
There's the "feels good, man" screencap in the thread already. Its been mentioned that "my body is ready" is in it too, but haven't seen it myself.
>The English version of DoAX3 is coming out in the Taipongaporese Islands but not the Cucked States of America
>This is not because of the culture that oppresses sexuality and shames anyone who admits to liking good looking women by calling them perverts or deviants
Oh yeah anon, that's a fucking great idea. Just do this big official press release and hand everyone present an organized list of what they're LITERALLY going to remove from [x] upcoming game and what they're going to change.
"OKAY GUYS HERE'S WHAT WE'RE TAKING AWAY FROM YOU IN THE LATEST XENO EMBLEM POKEMAN"
When Nintendo yanks sexy costumes out of games the SJWs call it a minor edit to the game as a necessary part of localization.
When Nintendo fixes an unintended bug the SJWs call it censorship, oppression and bigotry.
I wish I was making this up too.
It's because despite what some people would want you to believe, nobody wants their son to grow up to be a butt fucking homo. Dolls = girl toys. There's no "creepiness" about it.
>well you shouldn't have expected a list of patch notes containing all the censorship changes for international release tbqh
Unreleased games do have patch notes on what they change before release. Not all of them of course, since it's mostly tweaking and bug fixing. However, this is a big deal to me since knowing what they "localized" will directly affect my enjoyment of the game. I always want the better options, not the worse ones.
That's exaggerating it a bit, but come on. The fact remains that we WILL find out about cut content/censorship/etc at some point. Just being open about it (and giving a damn good reason why you did it) would at least save us the frustration of having to wait until release to figure out what's missing.
>When Nintendo fixes an unintended bug the SJWs call it censorship
They called it a bad decision, nobody said it was "censorship" of the Jap version.
Hyperbolizing stuff to fit a story in your head just weakens your point anon.
I they might have changed the script a bit I think someone posted a comparison between the fan translation and the scene from the newest trailer and they were completely different
What we know is that past performance is a solid indicator of future results.
You never know which horse is going to win a race yet they all have different odds, care to guess how they decide the odds?
Not him, but I'm guessing the following:
>content like amie or outfits isn't cut
>dialog for amie is redone (to remove all the "throbbing thing" references, etc)
>incest is toned down by making it not as big of a deal, mentioning it less often, etc
>ages changed for characters like Elise and Sakura
>"throbbing thing" references
For real? No way cero would only give it a C-15 for that.
The character you're talking about isn't really gay. She just likes girls in the same flirtatious way that her father likes girls, but doesn't *like* *like* girls because of it.
>It feels good there...
>It's no good if you do it like tha~t...
>Yeah, that's good... Pieri wants to touch you too...
>Your throbbing place, it looks like the flesh is tearing...
>Nn... my body's acting strange... somehow... it's getting hot...
People bitching about the f-corrin outfit thighs in Smash are retarded. Smash is rated E so they had to censor it there. FE Fates is rated T so there's no issue.
Otherwise, we know very little about what's getting censored, we only know that it inevitably will be.
>Smash is rated E so they had to censor it there.
Thighs are adult only now?
How the fuck did they sneak Shulk into the game then?
Hoshido Mode - Hoshido is justice. We get to slaughter everyone freely as we like because anyone who fights us is evil and any good people will break down crying about how right we are.
Nohr Mode - You're literally working for a king who wants you to suffer. Nearly every chapter has a cutaway showing how much a character likes making you suffer for picking Nohr. You still end up doing everything he wants though while crying the entire time
Invisible Kingdom Mode : Kira Yamato and Lacus Cylne unite to defeat both armies and bring everyone under their wing, they then jump into a hole in the ground and stop the evil mastermind dragon with the power of friendship
I assumed the Doll to Skell change wasn't about creepiness but about "coolness". The English name Doll, for the Japanese had a unique, cool sense about it and changing it to Skell was NoA's attempt to recreate that feeling for Americans.
In Fates, the Aqua to Azura should be the same case. Aqua is an exotic name to the Japanese, etc.
Unless a name is changed because it's deemed offensive, it's not censorship.
The worst part about her is that she doesn't pass her cotton candy hair color to her kids. She also notes in one of her supports that she just has brown hair and the pink/blue is dye.
That would be a good thing because then I wouldn't have to do much research before maybe giving NoA any of my money. I'd rather have NISA localize my Nintendo games at this point.
>DLC-locked gay characters
>both of the gay characters happen to be mentally disturbed
woooooooooooooooooooooow bravo nintendo this sends a GREAT message to homosexuals everywhere pham
>Censorship is done out of fear of, or deference to, the sensibilities or preferences (actual or perceived) of others
Changing things because of the perceived preferences of your audience still falls under censorship.
>Buying the tumblr version of this
Dataminers found that originally Silas and Azura where gonna be the gay options which makes sense since they are in both paths, but for some reason they changed to the other two.
Also you were gonna be able to have/adopt/Idunno your kids, but now its just they adopt in the epilogue.
I think this line is a really terribly worded then translated attempt to say "your heart is being so hard/it'll beat out of your chest". The "flesh tearing" thing had to be to put a morbid spin on it because Pieri.
Not really DLC locked its just if your gay buy one, if your lezbo buy the other or if your bisexual or straight pick whichever you like the story of but if your trans go fuck yourself.
You've heard some misinfo friend. Here's everything about that datamine, the gay support doesn't exist but a support between their kids do, leading to speculation and ultimately three different scenarios it could have implied.
It's actually intended to be a dual-meaning pun (innuendo, whatever). A lot of the other Amie lines have innuendo like that one too.
I'm honestly not entirely sure how it exactly works, since I haven't romanced her yet. She's batshit crazy though, so if you're into dicking psychopaths, she's the perfect pick for you.
>She has the best thighs in the army
>all menus/items are done
>all 3 routes are 100% done
>My Castle/etc is done
>supports are 10%-20% done
Basically everything but the supports are done. Apparently they're putting out another patch "soon" that fixes the various typos/errors and translates more supports.
>they're nowhere near this one.
I wouldn't be so sure about that.
They work on a lot of projects without announcing it until its nearly done. Happened with MonHun and Xenoblade.
>localization is censorship now
People don't seem to get that, no matter who it is, once it's in the hands of someone who can translate, we're all along for the ride and translators will always abuse their power regardless of whether they're professional or just fans.
That's exactly what censorship is though. You're removing culture that is foreign to us but domestic to the creator. If the translation doesn't adequately explain culture, then add notes or a glossary. A translation should tell you specifically what was written and what it means, nothing more. When explaining that meaning, you can quantify those concepts with your own. You can't replace them outright.
By definition, yeah
That's pretty much the gist of it
I think what I really want is for /v/ to stop spouting "censorship" when they want to be emotive about saying "localisation I don't like". It really cheapens the word.
How many games as of late have you personally chosen NOT to support due to the revelation of censorship being present?
I am performing a survey and would like detailed results please.
I've been cursed with valuing the English language more than I value memes.
Yep, that bottom centre one is me.
I agree 100%
Has there ever been an RPG on a nintendo console that wasnt censored for North America?
Not defending it, just curious
>lewd skinship dialogue, literally all of it you would think it's from a hentai
Bullshit, I am playing the game and the face rubbing is benign as fuck
that said, I wouldn't mind it being changed for something else, though, or at least the rubbing time being reduced in half. Shit is tedious and gets repetitive very quickly.
Nah I remember when the files got ripped from the game there were anon's editing them nude for use with the Live2D viewer.
The word and concept of "localization" exists because it's not just "translation + censorship" Games are brought to new audiences via localization, not simply translation, which is only one part of localization.
You are misunderstanding the meaning the of censorship.
Localization means you change things which are location based.
An American might not know what a rice ball is so you change it into a donut, that makes sense.
Taking a psychopath who wants to murder a dog and altering his personality to be a retard who wants to hug the dog has nothing to do with the regional differences of Japan and America.
This, skinship loses its novelty pretty damn fast. Even faster than Pokemon Amie.
They should have either had waifus record more lines or had more minigames beyond touching or micshit.
That's exactly what localization has become though. "Bad" culture is censored and replaced. Localization used to be simply translation. Gamers aren't interested in a censored version of a japanese game. They're interested in the original form of the game. It becomes localized to them by translating into their native tongue.
Japanese games WILL be made from a japanese perspective. You can't remove that culture as you please. You must explain it to the user. Otherwise you'll get weird shit like pokemon where they wear kimonos but eat jelly donuts. Everyone will notice the culture clash and the censorship becomes obvious.
>okay so you were fine Sailor Uranus and Pluto being cousins instead of being a lesbian couple.
I don't remember saying that at all anon!
The key word in "Some censorship is okay" is "Some". Removing the lesbian couple was a very bad decision from my point of view.
Also, I'll be happy to denounce all the other ideas on >>323570229 this chart as very silly.
>putting effort into the development of a video game.
I like this image. It makes the assumption that sticking to one argument over a long period of time makes it wrong, without actually addressing the argument at hand. Real solid shitposting.
Are you saying that being a faggot is bad?
>What are you hoping to accomplish?
Anons using "censorship" for "bad localisation" or "localisation I dislike".
Problem is that "censorship" is much more dramatic, so it's more popular for people who want to sound OUTRAGED.
>"Bad" culture is censored and replaced. Localization used to be simply translation.
Pretty much anyone, because they use stock lines they use so, you can have Belka say
>"I'll take care of you! Haa, ahhhh!!! Take that! Anyone else?"
>Prisoner was recruited
You don't choose who picks a job at the facilities, though.
>Are you saying that being a faggot is bad?
Homosexuality is a mental disorder, so yes. Which would explain your retardation on being unable to understand two very different concepts.
Given the same level, the first would be better in almost every situation I can think of. Granted, I haven't played Fates so I don't know if there's any bullshit difference that 3 Def and 2 Res helps with, but the left has more strength, skill, speed and 9 fucking more HP. That's well worth the negligible loss of luck and some defense/resistance.
I don't see how, it's not like pirates are actually going to have any games to play this year beyond maybe this waifu trash.
Capture is back. Once you built a prison, two units with the capture ability can capture generics and put them in prison. You can then recruit them by persuading them or by buying their services.
He also gets a free Rally Defence.
You can capture some bosses and generic enemies to fight for you.
>Homosexuality is a mental disorder
Not any more, officially. But even if it is, it's a pretty benign one. And I didn't even say I was gay in the first place
>Which would explain your retardation on being unable to understand two very different concepts
Your inability so far to give me anything but ad hominems is only reaffirming my beliefs. Are you really okay with me being this smug?
I'm open minded, you can change my opinion with some well-placed facts and logic.
yep and not only that. Some enemy units, particularly in Nohr, come with very hax skills. If you capture those you can keep them with those skills equipped too. You can recruit some bosses with unique models and portraits too and you can always roleplay you're raping the female priests and pegasus riders.
Oh I didn't know that. Thanks anon, I won't be using that one in the future.
Though I'm not overly concerned with the status of homosexuality as a mental illness.
>Already been established many times over in the thread
I don't believe it has. Care to direct me?
Their stats are typically worse than your other units at the same level, but there's some exceptions. Some stronger bosses are capturable, Nohr gets a very good Lancer early on in the game for example.
There's also some enemies with different base stats than others at the same level. I remember seeing a Revenant Knight with higher Mag but lower Str than the other ones in the same chapter.
You'd think until you see she's all magic and res while having negative speed and defense. She's the textbook of a glass canon.
Oh, don't worry, everyone is a slut when they're taking care of the prison. No one is sacred.
>I'm stupid and don't pay attention
Find it yourself
>like a character when they're revealed
>turns out they're actually great units
Did your waifu/husbando turn out good or are their abs painted on too?
No it's random every time.
I think you can equip an accessory that increases the chances of someone being in charge of the prison though.
You can also make said accessories for the other shops and services too.
Believe me I've been combing through the thread and there's nothing that definitively separates localisation from self-censorship
>Self-censorship is done out of fear of, or deference to, the sensibilities or preferences (actual or perceived) of others
>control of what you say or do in order to avoid annoying or offending others, but without being told officially that such control is necessary
This all lines up with what it means to "localise".
So using "censorship" for "bad localisation" or "localisation I dislike" is absurd, wouldn't you agree?
I DON'T CARE AND I HOPE ALL YOUR WAIFUS GET CENSORED OUT OF MY GAME
The same damage, but you get like 10% less hit. The real kicker is that Dual Attack and Dual Support bonuses are not in effect, which can be much more annoying than you'd think.
Not exactly but some enemies that have, say, all the rallies, some Onis or with Cut Through (wyvern rider skill), Archers with Counter (Shura skil), Pegasus Knights with Pass, etc. Stuff like that, skills they shouldn't have for their class.
Almost all the characters are "okay" tier, sans a couple standouts like "high" Camilla and Elise, and "shit" Pieri.
I'm interested to see how character opinion changes with the NA release.
I rarely ever use dual attacks or they will just die to enemy dual attacks or i need pairup bonus stats and splitting them from pairups wastes a whole turn
so usually i have everyone paired up except for staff and maybe one guy alone
how should i use it?
Some of the kids I like are much lower than I would want, but that's to be expected considering how lazy the kids were handled this time. Other than that I don't have too many problems with it.
I use dual attacks mostly on the player phase, it's true that leaving yourself wide open to them on the enemy phase is a good way to get yourself killed.
On some chapters without a lot of ranged enemies I leave my units in front in a diagonal line, that way none of the attacking enemies will be adjacent to set up their dual attacks.
NoA announced gay marriages so they aren't likely to get rid of it. I just hope that Shara isn't "spiced up" in any way. Her translated supports made her seem like a tamer version of her original so I don't mind her as much as I initially did. But if treehouse makes her crazier than Tharja was then I won't even bother.
