Unreleased games do have patch notes on what they change before release. Not all of them of course, since it's mostly tweaking and bug fixing. That's exactly what censorship is though. You're removing culture that is foreign to us but domestic to the creator. If the translation doesn't adequately explain culture, then add notes or a glossary. A translation should tell you specifically what was written and what it means, nothing more. When explaining that meaning, you can quantify those concepts with your own. You can't replace them outright.
