It's only a fuck you to the dipshits who call it a tumblr game from seeing one screenshot then dump it forever
Also the faggots who hated episode 5
Kane and Lynch always intrigued me with how fucking sleazy and dirty their style came across. I loved the fact that Dog Days had this camcorder filter to it, even though so many seem to hate it. Gave it a very original style.
Shame the actual gameplay wasn't very good.
In terms of actual gameplay I liked it more than Borderlands 1, the characters and humour were completely insufferable though. The new enemy design was really good as well, Goliaths are a great idea for an enemy
dat launch trailer
The licensed songs maybe, but Trapanese's original work is fantastic.
It was an amazing game, the visual effect was stunning, too bad it was so short.
To this day I still don't understand why Kane & Lynch undersold like that, they both were real fun coop games with solid stories and environments.
Square Enix has some of the best IPs, but they NEVER fucking use them.
They give them to Eidos who always make amazing games that could have been better if Sqeenix didn't give them chump change and a tight deadline.
>Kane and Lynch 2 deconstructs the third person shooter and the justification of violence inherent in its mechanics by making the entire game as miserable as possible
>Guns feel like shit and have realistic recoil
>Aesthetic and shakycam are designed to make the player feel ill
>Mechanics are stripped down to just Cover and Shoot
>Kane and Lynch learn nothing and the entire game ends up being pointless
>Critics hate it
>Spec Ops The Line comes out and does the entire thing worse and with less subtlety
>Makes top ten lists
Life isnt fair, OP.
I remember seeing one of the original's in the cinema and thinking that it was better than then film I'd gone to see. Can't even remember what it was now, but the trailer stuck with me.
Fuck everyone who isn't me and the 3 people in the world that LIKE K&L.
I'm talking about all the stuff Chloe complains about in the game like her parents and blaming others for her problems, Also in one part Max is in the bathroom and on the whole someone wrote about max being a "feminazi" which is the type of shit tumblr does when they act like the whole world is against them.
Now you're just projecting. At no point does the game suggest Chloe is right, quite the opposite. And an insult's an insult, what the hell makes you think one of the characters being called a feminazi means the game is supporting tumblrites?
If a message or theme in a game is subtle then it goes unnoticed by most. Hell I like it when a game can tell an underlined message subtlety but I miss them if I'm not looking (which I never do, least not on first playthrough)
If you want a message in a game to come through to the majority of the audience then you got to beat it into there heads till the mutter your words in their sleep, much like the line did
>hell I bet there's a great deal of people who didn't get the message the line was trying to tell
Now they've ported this on all the other platforms too, but I honestly don't understand why.
The whole point was multitasking with the big picture and the game pad screen.
Despite how much /v/ hates it, it still holds a special place in my heart.
You guys said it would be boring. You fucking liars, I ended up investing 20+ hours into this. Why does /v/ bullshit.
This game had a neat twist on Celtic mythology and had nice monster designs(probably because of Todd MacFarlane)
episode 5 was horrible bro.
not even sure why you are rilled up with the story if episode 5 doesn't matter anyway, might as well play until ep 4 and then just imaginate a better ending
Driveclub with all the updates. The launch sucked but nowadays it has a good amount of content. But I'm not buying DC2 if they do it unless I'm sure it's finished game from the start.
Baldur's Gate Enhanced Editions 1 & 2. I know they're basically paid HD mods of the originals, but the fact they run smoothly on modern computers and non-windows computers is good enough for me to support them. Plus they're making expansions and custom content.
No matter how hard this sub bashes it, I still think that it's the best game in years.
Played that with my brother it was one of the first games i got for my 360 and we had a blast bro-oping trough it,how good is the first game?.
Also that same thing could be said of FEAR 3 because
Also pic related i loved the fact that a game like kingdom hearts could be played on a DS
>Chloe complains about in the game like her parents and blaming others for her problems
That's what rebellious teenagers do.
just culturally appropriate bullying in todays world.
Maybe you should stop obsessing and attributing everything to your personal boogeyman. Life is more enjoyable when you don't do paranoid overanalyzing of everything.
are they still doing the movie? these dumb fucks really want jamie fox to play lynch instead of kevin gage
in my opinion DD has the best jerrycan-shooting mechanic available. it was so much more intuitive to just throw the can and then press fire when the timings right rather than search a clusterfuck of a shootout to shoot one.
I don't really like it, but it's also hard to stop playing it
Bethesda sure can make games that I don't really like, but I'll buy anyway and play for hundreds of hours
Oh, shut the fuck up you petulant littlecontrarian faggot. You were probably one of the pieces of shit that jumped on the hate bandwagon for this game, without even fucking playing, now you want to jump on this game's dick just because it's out of the norm. Bravo, you worthless piece of fucking shit. I hope somebody shoots you in real life.
the first one was good up until cuba. Loved the idea of being on the run from death row and you and your criminal buddies fucking shit up. That one level making your way down the building and fighting through the streets was fantastic.
the reaction to kane & lynch just shows (to borrow a phrase) you how far video game criticism still is from becoming a serious art. the writing in both games is still basically untouched in the way it subverts and undermines the basic catharsis of the violent power fantasy, and unlike a lot of games that try to do the same thing, it did it without throwing its own narrative under the bus. maybe that's why it never got the recognition it deserved, it never looked at the camera and told the player what the theme was and how they were supposed to be feeling about it (cough spec ops cough)
the swimming delirious camcorder visuals of the second game are seriously of the best use of visual effects in gaming. the whole game is a violent disoriented visual orgy, like wong kar wai directed a liveleak shooting video
>Pretentious walking simulator about hipster lesbians that hate men isn't a Tumblr "game"
It's literally Tumblr: The Game.
>all the men are evil or pathetic
>all the women are great and even the ones who seem bad are good deep-down
>the plot is about women being victims of evil oppressive men
>that guy who rips on people who complain about PC culture
>you can only romance the game as a lesbo
>one of the main characters is literally a blue-haired tumblr chick
>Max is called a "feminazi" for seemingly no reason, so it's obviously playing into that whole "people who complain about feminists are silly" angle
>obviously made for the liberal arts hipster crowd
>popular on tumblr, the general on /vg/ is literally tumblr
>barely a game much like Gone Home and other casual walking sims/interactive movies
>advertised as "Gone Home with time travel" by Kotaku
>game about teenage girls and their first-world problems
I seriously can't think of another game that represents "Tumblr" better. This shit was constantly shilled here too.
Somehow managed to grab me even more than KotOR2. Best Obsidian game.
The first game seems to be better, according to people I talked to. I only played Dog Days, and man, that was the game that actually gave me astigmatism. Gonna be getting the first one, hope they don't have the filter.. and didn't the devs say that they made the gameplay not good because their publisher made them do a different game instead?
Were they forced to make Absolution instead of a good Kane and Lynch game? Dog Days seem like one big tantrum if that were the case
Supposedly affter the Hitman game. Supposedly, since they said the same thing when Absolution was announced. Story-wise those easter eggs in Absolution are canon, except the one in prison and the nuke one.
I liked Fallout: New Vegas more, but Alpha Protocol is a great game, that shit felt like The Departed: the Game.
And while we're talking Obsidian, I must say this one took me by surprise.
They're getting Vin Diesel as Kane right? Gonna be a while before this gets released if that's the case then..Vin Diesel's got a lot of movies on his plate, and his game studio's busy with games too. He uses his free time to help his studio and stuff..
This surprised me too, surprised how fucking shit it was.
>cut out Avellone's dialogue
>try to balance it like fucking mmo because no fun allowed
>jew intensively releasing expansions in 1000 parts
Fucking Sawyer, niggas becoming Metzen 2.0.
It's really pretty tho, i have to give it that.
top this chumps
I played this till the end and liked it.
>you can only romance the game as a lesbo
You forgot about Warren, the lamest husbando.
and the ending where you let Chloe die was a fine ending. That other one was shit though
I liked the relationship between Dracula and Alucard more in LoS than in SotN.
This is what I always liked about K&L: While other games glorify the violence you commit or portray it as righteous, K&L took the more sensible approach: Kane and Lynch use violence to achieve their goals because they're selfish cunts who don't give a fuck about anyone but themselves. What kind of life do you expect them to live? And how do you think would that end for them? Players couldn't stand playing as an amoral scumbag and, worst of all, being denied the gratification of a happy end.
I'd love to see more of them.
I liked it more than Oblivion, not as much as Morrowind.
>obviously made for the liberal arts hipster crowd
as a garbage person I take offence
its very not art and more rule of cool, but cool for teen girls, the kind of teen girls who wear cosmos leggings.
I liked the games too, OP. Although I understand why most people don't.
>I remember seeing one of the original's in the cinema and thinking that it was better than then film I'd gone to see
wait video game trailers plays on cinema. what country are you from?
Seriously? Great, I'm needing something new to start. Thanks anon.
I loved this game, I wouldn't mind trying it again on pc since I played it on my 360. The 2nd game was fucking awful though.
Despite the Tameem bullshit pretentiousness, its actually pretty solid, and its a good looking game.
If it wasn't a DMC game, it would be really good.
Kane and Lynch was a fucking awesome concept. The gameplay was a fucking technical disaster though
The multiplayer modes were fking great and should have been incorporated into the single player story. The mode where there is one police officer hidden amongst the crowd of criminals, motherfucking reservoir dogs style was fucking awesome!
So was the "Fragile Alliance" mode where you could kill your comrades and steal their loot, and become the traitor.
The themesong still gives me hope, that one day a decent sequel will come out:
Anyways, heard there was a movie coming out
Pic related, apparently the poster for the movie that was supposed to come out.
The horror game never really evolved since DS1 but the settings, action and gun customization were top tier
>inb4 someone says BS
this poster/wall paint thing was also seen in germany
>teachers are creepy killers or uncaring alcoholics
>father figures are missing or abject vets
>bullies are literal psychopaths
>jocks are drug abusing retards, popular girls are horrible cunts
>Killing the entire town to save your girlfriend is portrayed as the 'happy' ending
this could've worked during the 80s or 90s. not today, tho.
also, foxx should be above these type of roles. dude has an oscar and is easily in the top 20 male actors that are still working(not of all time)
Can you believe that they were making an MMO in this universe and they decided it would be a good idea to borrow money from the state?
What a bunch of fucking idiots. Should've just been happy making a fantasy RPG.
>You can't tame a man like you tame a horse
>The more you beat a man, the taller he stands
>To break a man, to break his spirit, you have to break his mind
>Show him what kind of monster he is
Was expecting some tacticool / sneaking stuff in Splinter Cell manner. Turns out that boss encounters are in MGS manner which somewhat get crazy.
Yes, I'm talking about Brayko.
As this is RPG do not expect any damage from SMGs since You have no skills for using it effectively.
After getting used to, I say the gameplay is great, despite the bugs.
There is some mod which fixes outpost spawn rate.
Game design could be better, but I liked shooting.
Also molotov to utilize fire on grass for either eliminating enemiesor cut yourself an escape route.
Also M1903 is satisfying to shoot.
DA:O > DA:I >>>> shit >> DA2
I cannot fathom, that I've force myself to get through whole DA2. There was even no proper ending like Mass Effect 1/2 did.
Make it a standalone DLC like Far Cry: Blood Dragon and I would not complain about it.
God damn it. Make it already.
it got a lot of hate but it was one of the few wii game where i actually had fun
K&L had so much potential, then you get to the bank robbery
FFXIII really isn't as bad as people say, and overall the trilogy is pretty good. So, fuck you, I liked it. The people who still bitch about these games are just jaded, nostalgia babies. The only other Final Fantasy games I like are VII and XII.
the whole ghost recon series in general is like theyre made precisely for me
also the 3ds one is objectively a really good game
It had 4 choices but every choice had a really meaningful path, also the options are not always, good, bad, question, neutral, every person reacts differently to the way you talk to them, if you act all cocky some people will fall with that shit, others will hate you for that, it's not that "it's ok when obsidian does it" it's that obsidian knew how to actually do a good branching path with 4 options per dialogue.
Yeah, i wish it was a bit more open and all that, but it served its purpose and was a goat RPG, maybe with some clunky combat that forced you to go stealth with pistol but still, the story and the rest of the gameplay was really gud.
I liked the gameplay in TPS the most, and everyone seems to hate that one... I just like the classes and the low grav and the jetpacks
The 'humour' just gets progressively worse with each iteration, though.
Fun if you treat it like a big dumb action game. I can't help but be entertained by how ridiculous it is
It's a mediocre action game that was released around the time of Rising which was much better despite being short. If you took away DMC from the title it would have been forgotten since that was the only thing keeping it in the public eye.
The presequel is such shit. They should have just remade the first game? Literally the worst borderlands by a fucking landslide. I've seen more people enjoy a burning bag of shit than like that game
>I liked it more than Oblivion, not as much as Morrowind.
This, fucking this.
Though even I didn't liked it, I am ready to admit Oblivion was vastly superior, notably in the quest pacing and writing.
Literally 0 issues with the controls.
What the fuck
It's just like in the last Hitman movie where the actor isn't even bald and going guns blazing in public.
Or that fucking horrible Max Payne movie with a poorly cast Marky Mark and Max Payne's voice himself James Mccaffrey doing a shitty insulting cameo as some random cop
>Manhunt 2 did but that was for censorship purposes
lol no. It always had the VHS distortion but then ramped it up during violent sections. The game was always supposed to have the VHS snuff aesthetic before it got censored.
>y-you haven't played it!
Is that really the best you could come up with? Most people hate this game, what's so strange about disliking it?
What is there to like? The only things I enjoyed were the parts with the time shift stones, and some bosses. Everything else was completely awful, and the game abandoned what made the series great in the first place
I agree. If out want called dmc. And didn't have tameem being an assface, it would absolutely be considered a hidden gem as most ninja theory games are. I really wish it hasn't been a dmc, or at least if it was released alongside a real dmc5 then I wouldn't mind or being it's own thing.
This game I got at launch, and it was literally GoldenEye 2.0 for me and my friends. It's single player was fun, and the multi was a blast, though everyone's arms hurt after 30 minutes of playing. Sequel was good too, but different.
I don't understand people who hate 13, but love 7 or 10. Final fantasy has been linear foot a long time, with the exception being 12. I went into it expecting it to be linear like 10, and o wasn't disappointed.
Still need to play the sequel's.
Warfighter was the shit.
>What is there to like?
-Pacing was great after the beginning
-Story was nothing special but it kept me interested up until the end
-The ground areas were well designed (unlike the sky)
-Dungeons were a bit easy at times but fun to go through
-Motion+ gimmick actually worked well in the bosses and dungeons and made it more involving, which rarely works with wii games
-Great art style and looks even better when emulated.
It's definitely nowhere near the best zelda game but I liked it because of reasons listed above.
I admit though that I might have liked it more that I should have because TP felt so fucking bland to me that anything with a little originality could have made my panties wet after that
favourite game. Me and a buddy co-op the shit out of it.
Where I live in my theater they sometime show game ads, mostly Xbox and Nintendo stuff, like Smash and Halo and Tomb Raider, those are the ones I remember most.
Gotta say though, Kane and lynch Dead Man is a fucking shitty game, I was intrigued by the game and bought it for super cheap and tried to play it with a friend, there's nothing to save, the gameplay sucks and we laughed pretty much at every dialogs, worst part was unskippable cutscenes, where we had to see the same shitty cinematic every time we died, we stopped playing after that.
It sucks. Don't care how good the dialogs are or how immersive it is, this game has the worst gameplay I've seen in a long time, stopped playing it after a few missions because I couldn,t stand the missions, don't know why this game's getting praise because of it's story if it's fucking unplayable. I love Obsidian, but that doesn't give them a free pass for this game.
Your opinions are shit desu
Yeah the overly long beginning sequence, backtracking, repetitive objectives and repeated boss fights make for great pacing
A step forward for nintendo, but generic shit overall
Backtracking shit ruins it, the areas weren't designed to be played through more than once
They crossed the line with the difficulty with this one, they are too easy to be interesting. Handholding ruins everything in that game for a lot of people
Led to the combat becoming gimmicky 'hit where they aren't blocking' for almost every enemy, which got old really fast. The fact that nintendo mapped the synchronize button to the dpad shows that they knew the controls were broken
Good from a distance, looks like shit up close, not their fault since it was a wii game
I even enjoyed it more than the second one.
this game was such a huge improvement over the first one. The first one was praised too, but i thought it sucked bad. so the fact that this one gets a lot of shit confuses me. also i liked the aesthetic and the sound design it was a really polished game and even let you turn the shit off if you didn't like it. sure it was short, but the multiplayer was vastly improved upon too. great game if you can get it for $20 or less
Bioshock games were never amazing, but Infinite did try something new with the sky rails, which could have implemented more, and should have been expanded.
The thing is that it was so overblown by the media as 11/10 muh art that the backlash was also inflated. It isn't the worst piece of shit ever, nor it is amazing. It's just good.
that first time you're with your squad in a line, and fire your shots only to realize you're now fucked as you spend the next 10 seconds reloading in the middle of enemy fire and your comrades fall around you. the future weapons actually bugged me, the first level of the game is super tense with those shitty guns you have
They failed for two reasons:
1. It's a business in Rhode Island. Our only two successful businesses are a gas station that serves coffee and an ice cream/bar combo.
2. Don't let baseball players run businesses
>we are living on a time when the most modern fallout is less of an RPG than the fallout where you play as a soldier that always follow orders no matter what.
It was a fun little B-tier rpg-light that didn't take itself too seriously and some dipshits gave it 2/10.
never gonna happen. IO Software got raped by Square Enix after the latest Hitman didn't sell as well as it should have. All their games were canceled and they are rebooting the Hitman games.
Okay, so it's not a great game but a lot of people say it's fucking awful and it's really not, it's fine.
I suspect it's poor reception has a lot to do with it actually being a pretty hard game.
/v/'s opinion in...
>2006: It was pretty good.
>2007: It was awful!
>2010: It was great!
>2015: It was fucking terrible worse than StH06!
Meanwhile, the entire time...
>(Sounds of a handful of people air-guitaring to the wonderful soundtrack in the distance)
Had a blast playing this. It's uncharted that doesn't suck.
The fighting plays out like it does in the actual movies, did people not get this or something?
Same, also Kane & Lunch: Dead Men and Syndicate.
The gunplay in Syndicate is god tier and it's the first time I actually enjoyed the usage of dubstep in any form of entertainment.
>how they were supposed to be feeling about it (cough spec ops cough)
The acting of Kane & Lynch and most of the other characters in each game are so natural, and I've rarely seen such quality in other games
Too bad the gameplay is really rough.
Ugh, the soundtrack is one of the worst parts of the game.
There's only a few good songs in there, the game practically forced me to listen to Bloc Party - Octopus on repeat.
Good thing it has Spotify integration on PS4, otherwise I'd have probably stopped playing.
Half assed crafting/survival garbage that attempts to capture what people find addictive about Minecraft. I played that game for 10 hours, and it never stopped being contrived shit.
Tfw you go into a preplanned operation where you intend on wiping out a base from long range with a store bought Dragunov/ AK-47 combo
>tfw an 20 minutes later your plan is shot to shit, and you're standing in the middle of said base, the grasslands surrounding it is on fire, your AK and Dragunov long since broken to shit and you're stuck armed with a rusty as fuck Fn Fal firing on incoming Technical reinforcements in the middle of vomiting your guts out from Malaria.
Why did you have to change ubisoft?
I see what you're saying, but I genuinely enjoy it. Maybe I'm autistic for it, but I personally have no problems with Klei games. One of the few companies I enjoy.
Aside from having 4 games in EA at once
I absolutely loved the goliaths. Shoot one and watch it kill its allies and then the sudden horror as you watch a ultimate badass Goliath charge you.
Not all of the character design was insufferable. I found Ellie's character to be quite enjoyable. Tina was also a good character, she actually had a back story that was quite fucked up. Zer0 spoke in Haiku, that alone is cool. Gaige was bearable aside from the constant screaming.
Given it's not my favorite in the series, I honestly didn't mind this one at all but I'm a Hitman fanboy so I saw past most of the issues my first time through...
By posting this here you're implying it's bad while also saying it's great at the same time, which means you are fully aware that /v/ is the only place on earth that will concoct baseless negative critique on the game.
in other words: you are the problem. leave this place and never return.
How did you play for more than 30 minutes?
They really should do a second printing of this I want to play it but I never pay over $80 for any one video game.
I saw a couple go for $85 so its definitely dropping but this is retarded.
>nobody ITT mentioning the god-tier K&L2 multiplayer
serious question: where can I find something similar? I love that the game encouraged players to betray each other and take all the money, it made it much more intense because you always had to watch your back against your friends. have any other games done this?
What kills me is these games, Singularity, Timeshift, Inversion, etc., you know, the "forgotten but not nearly as shit as they are made out to be" FPS/TPS of last generation, never fucking go on sale on Steam.
I'd really like to play them on PC.
I played DmC before DMC and I loved it. The fighting was great the hit detection notso, I liked the characters and hoped they would make a sequel.
I hated though the forced libtard shit.
People keep complaining that Vergil was butchered from DMC, is that true?
those moments were few and far between.
Usually you were trying to make sure you were topped up with maleria medicine and outposts kept repopulating as soon as you drove away from them.
God damn I really do love how unabashedly ugly Kane and Lynch was. So straightforward with its asshole characters and loud as fuck gunshots. It really needed to be a lot more smooth and brutal in terms of mechanical gameplay, but it really clicked sometimes.
She was fat and happy. She didn't say that you had to accept it, she wasn't in denial, and she was happy with how she was. That's good. If she was spouting how you need to stop being so thin in front of her or how people keep making fun of her for being fat and she's sad about it, that's bad, shitty, and tumblr design.
Was a normal kid until Hyperion abducted her family, her father gave her a grenade to use just in case. She used it and it saved her life but she also had to see what slag did to her parents. She then felt safe around explosives and became a demolitions expert. Through trauma though, she lost her fucking mind and became attached to Roland who acted as a father figure.
Speaking in Haiku is breety gud fuck you.
SA is my favorite Sonic game. IMO they completely nailed the feeling of controlling Sonic in a 3D space, proper use of inertia and all. It's the only 3D Sonic that lets you drop into ball mode and ride around on your own momentum, and if you can master the spindash jump you can exploit Sonic's speed to skip huge sections of the level, making Sonic's stages excellent for speed trials. If they'd spent more time refining the collision and debugging the rampant clipping issues then I think they'd have made the perfect translation into 3D.
You obviously never played save the earth or destroy all monsters. This game was like neither of the two, it threw away everything that was fun from the original games. I tried very hard to like it.
It's one of the few crafting/survival games that is actually finished and not a huge steaming pile of shit(just a small one). You just dislike the genre, don't you?
Fucking loved it
Now that they added gameplay options so I can disable the bullshit I find this game fun fuck you /v/
Imagine someone made something you and your friends liked. Like sonic of example you always loved it. You play the game and keep on playing it all the time. You love it. Now you want to look up something for the game. (Sonic in this case) and go to Google for pictures of your favorite game. Instead of getting design art or promotional art you get a picture of the main character taking a shit on the sidekick who is fat as a balloon and screaming about how it's for Jesus. This type of shit happens with undertale (though less extreme). It's honestly I guess disappointing to me at least and degrading to know these fuckers are trying to fetish the game or turn it into something it's not. And in underale's case that something is a political message. It's a game not a rally platform
I hate everything about 10 except for the battle system and Lulu.
I believe 7 is overrated to all fucking hell but the world building and systems were pretty good.
I can't for the life of me find a single redeeming factor for FF13 that doesn't make the game anything other then sub-par.
Even if the animations look like shit, the combat becomes fun as fuck when you git gud.
Problem with the game is that it was advertised and showed off to be so much mother and all we got was a game that was even less interesting and fun to play as the last two bioshock games. The only thing that stuck around after infinite was the Elizabeth porn.
Mix a game that was pretty much medicore with a large team of people screaming it was a masterpiece made /v/ remember it as a pile of shit that it wasn't.
When in all reality it was just your run of the mill failed attempt at a FPS.
Love it. Actually beat the game once or twice with just my main character. Pretty hard.
Shit, was reading an old PSM issue, they gave it 8/10.
I'm sure if it wasn't named Fallout it wouldn't get as much hate, though it would have been ignored
loved the voice acting in this game. Extreme mode is pretty intense, you actually need to choose your cover wisely and use suppressing fire just to get around enemies.
I must've died atleast 20 times during just that shootout after Glazer fucks you over, it's hard as fuck.
I loved this part about it too - objectives were nearly always across the map and fast travel was shit so you had to actually look at your map and plan out a route to minimize checkpoints/incorporate places to restock ammo.
i don't get it.
why does /v/ hate this game
it is fucking awesome
Invisible War was my first DX game (back on Xbox). I remember getting the demo for it in an official Xbox Magazine and I replayed that demo so many times before I got the game itself, I just loved the atmosphere and everything. Going back and re-playing it today is really hard though, I'll admit, it has not aged well at all, and the level sizes are so fucking tiny, so much smaller than I remembered.
Far Cry 2 could have been such a good game, it had so many elements that I enjoyed, such as the hud-less design and having to actually pull out a map / using GPS. The gunplay and guns were really tight and nice, as was the environment.
That said, the endless waves of NPCs that respawn when you drive 20ft away, and the NPCs who chase you in their cars every checkpoint made it unbearable. I just couldn't stand that shit and I never finished the story (which was another very weak point in the game).
That said, I still enjoyed it, was a beautiful game for its time.
Mass effect 3 is a great game. The ending is sub-par and a disappointment, but endings to major series like this almost always are. 90% of the game is excellent and entertaining, with the best ME gameplay in the series. I also spend hundreds of hours playing the Multiplayer back in the day, it was really fun and varied. Again, the weakest part is the endings, which I agree are shit, even with the patch to "fix" them, but you cannot discount the rest of the game on that alone.
I guess it also helps that I avoided playing it at release, instead waiting until last year to finally play through it, so I already knew the ending was a disappointment so I prepared myself.
Picked it up recently on a sale. Yes, Dante's face (and by extension, Virgil's face) are annoying but
>dat story (sort of, it was better than expected)
Hell, most of the cutscenes were genuinely enjoyable to watch.
60fps and a hefty combo list, sign me the fuck up.
What is this Guild Wars 2 that I've never heard of. Did they finally make a sequel with all the depth and skill ceiling that Guild Wars used to have, instead of pandering to faggots who buy common cosmetics for 1.5k gold?
It's among my favorite shooters this gen.
Not even kidding.
Loved the atmosphere and gameplay.
I really wish there was a sequel.
>Exanima is a prelude to a game that is still in development
>The purpose of Exanima is to give all of you something to play and provide feeback on as we complete development of Sui Generis.
Last I heard they were making one, but I'm betting they silently shelved it when they couldn't agree to just say 'Fuck it.' and make it play like Smash.
Person 3 is bullshit
I played every mainline (except the IV) + Strange Journey and DDS. Persona 4 Golden stills my favourite megaten. Now get the hell outta here elitist fuccboi
>Kane and Lynch multiplayer modes were so fucking good.
No other game on the market -- NOT A SINGLE ONE -- has replicated the smash-and-grab multiplayer loot heist as well as K&L
Payday is nowhere near as compelling as K&L because it doesn't have the one thing that makes engaging in criminal activity so unnerving: uncertainty.
In K&L, you don't know the rest of your crew from a hole in the wall, and the fact that they can betray you makes every match a suspenseful ballet of double bluffs and ambiguous actions.
I'll never forget coordinating with a friend outside of the game on code words that meant "shoot the escape van, kill the stragglers," and "leave them behind."
I would give almost anything to see K&L multiplayer return on next-gen systems and crush Payday for being so shitty.
Batman: Arkham Knight.
Truly an amazing game and my personal favorite in the Arkham series.
I feel sorry for you PCucks with shitty toasters that are STILL salty about it, because it's a masterpiece. The PC version is fixed though, just don't expect to run it on your welfare card.
By the way, you can play as Jason Todd in the Arkham Knight suit now, it's pretty sweet.
Origins is impossible to play now if you didn't play it back then. That's the unfortunate thing about alot of the early 7th gen console games. They age horribly because of the transitional graphics
I actually really, really liked pic related.
Having played the other Halo games, I can see where it was different, but there was just something that made it still feel like a Halo game, while having a lot of new designs.
Halo 5, while it does some things better than others and is really quite good, just doesn't feel like as much of a HALO game to me.
I got it for free with my gpu as well.
Arkham City is really good. The story doesn't matter to be honest because it's not canon anyway. I feel like you're not missing out too much if you skip the other games and play AK first. But a central theme in the Arkham Knight is the relationship between the Joker and Batman, and he's going to be haunting his subconscious throughout the game. If you've read the comics or watched some movies you'll understand and appreciate the motif more.
If you care about that kind of stuff, I'd go from Arkham City to Arkham Knight and play the other two later on.
Not super controversial I guess, but it does rile some people up.
Don't worry m8, I literally came to this thread to see if anyone else posted this. I've played this all the way through and replaying it with my bf is pretty fun. Presequel is pretty okay so far, not too far into it though.
I don't know
I honestly like the crafting system and modular armor system, but compared to skyrim, it doesn't feel like a big game
Maybe because you can fast travel to every fucking place in the game. Fast travel is what makes these games feel way too small
