Honestly its not bad, just played a bit like early PS2 considering its release date. It was no Devil May Cry basically.

Crisis Core wasn't that bad either, felt a lot like Parasite Eve, even if they made Zack a bit of a dipshit at times.

Advent Children....well the animation was nice, but ya got me on that one. DBZ movie levels of excuses to make a fight happen for the sake of a movie and really nothing else.

Dunno about the Remake, episodic has me thinking its gonna suck, but I have really no expectations at this point and hell there is already HD patches for the PC version of the original anyway.

Not really, I played 8 when it came out on the PC, but then I didn't speak english so all I understood was how great the game looked, and how hot Riona was in that prom FMV.
I went in with all the games with 0 expectations, I even had extremly low ones for 7, after 1, 6, and 8 were such boring shits.
Although 6 was fine, but it felt really grind and the random encounter rate was up the ass.

Hojo's numbered experiements died, either in the reunion or before reaching the northern crater. I'm playing through this for the first time now.

It's not great in the slightest. The cutscene to gameplay ratio is heavily skewed. The levels are really dull. The aiming/shooting feels off and there's some weird delay when you pull the trigger. The new characters have just walked right out of a generic battle manga. Even the music is a letdown.

I knew it wasn't gonna be good, but I didn't expect it to be a painfully average as it is.
