ITT: Games that take the piss out of you for playing on the easiest difficulty
>tfw bad at video games but still too proud to step down from Normal
Playing TW3 on Death March for the first playthrough was honestly the smartest thing i've ever done. How people can claim they finished it if playing on anything lower shouldnt even be allowed.
>play on the hardest difficulty solo
>beating the game gets at least four, maybe more depending on which game
>highest difficulty only unlocks after beating game once
>clear game in under 5:00:00
>clear game using no upgrades
The Evil Within can eat shit. You had to beat the game a minimum of three times to get Platinum, and that's only if your first run was done on no upgrades. If you played normally the first time, it takes four runs.
>games harder difficulty only make the enemies bullet sponges instead of making their AI more advanced
>tfw going through the difficulty levels in MGS2
>tfw realizing their tactics and A.I. only get better and better as well as change up.
>harder difficulty only increases enemy amount and their movement speed
>Play easy mode
>Game ends after a fake final boss about 60% of the way through the game.
I don't get this stupid archaic meme of making fun of the player for wanting to play on the easiest difficulty. Not everyone is a fucking tryhard no life.
>mfw playing wolfenstein and this pops up
>mfw instant boner
>mfw when wolfenstein reinvigorated my incest obsession
>harder difficulty makes the level near impossible without several specific units
i remember that shitty movie wanted having a "pussy" difficulty in the game based on it
If the story's any good, it'd feel better as a reward you get after getting through a difficult part of the game. Just tediously plowing through a complete non challenge to see what happens seems pointless. Why not just look the game up on Youtube then? It takes roughly the same effort.
I remember playing a game that did this a long time ago, can't remember the name, just that it (probably) was a JRPG and it made me furious and every time I played the game I was enraged.
I actually only play on easy on repeat playthrough when I just want to blast through the game again. That or in very select instances when I don't want to be too bothered by a game, sometimes I end up enjoying the game more than I thought and regretting setting it to easy halfway.
I only think this is okay if the gameplay is complete shit. I wouldn't judge anyone who would play VtM:B and cheats through the sewer and forced combat sections. That shit was not worth the effort.
That's ok, if you're not playing on Nightmare you might as well play on Easy just to make the enemies less damage spongy in that game. Try doing the boss rush mode on Normal though.
>difficultys are Bitch, Agent, and Mother Fucker
how could i say no to Mother Fucker?
I was just posting the achievements that make fun of the player. I played Normal on my first playthrough and it was perfectly balanced imo. Finished the game and boss rush on nightmare also.
But this doesn't happen. Developing good AI is a colossal challenge and you wouldn't hide it behind a difficulty setting that the majority of players would not experience until their 2nd play through.
>Still plaaying games with difficulty settings
Lmaoing at your lives
>Making fun of Mario Kart
>He doesn't play games on Nintendo hard
I've never played a game that was too difficult to play on the hardest difficulty on the first go. I always play on the hardest first. It's usually not much harder than the other difficulties anyway.
>Playing only for the story
Listen nigger, I like a good story in games, but there needs to be actual good gameplay for me to want to play it
Came to post this
In fact if you beat the game in easy or very easy it ends WAY before the actual ending and I also remeber some review sites complaining that the game just "abruptly ends" at one point...which MEANS
Ninja Gaiden is the classic
>What, need me to hold your hand or something?
>quickly get most of Dark Souls 2 achievements within two days
>get all of X spells are left
>all of them have some sort of arbitrary restriction like Wrath of God only being available after beating the game 2 1/2 times
>only other way is to win 100s of duels in a dead covenant, that requires items that take forever to get, which are lost when used to fight
So close but fuck that
>good gameplay =/= difficult and frustrating
We aren't all tryhards like you Thomas.
new order on uber is boring as fuck. It takes away everything that's great about the game (over the top action, dual wielding fucking shotguns and massacre nazis) and forces you to stay in cover and pop up for headshots. You literally die in a few hits and the entire game slows down to a crawl.
I played on normal first but had to switch it to easy because Monsoon kept giving me trouble. I kept playing for the god tier music and gameplay. A game doesn't have to be hard for me to consider it good.
For whatever reason the vender that sells that is unaffected by ascetics
Some things don't work with ascetics, like NG+ exclusive events. Also fuck grinding for random drops with ascetics, The Gutter is at around level 25 for me and I can't get hit by anything stronger than a whiffle bat.
New Order was easy as fuck. Can't imagine what the easiest difficulty was like. Played through the game on second highest difficulty but could have probably managed the hardest setting without too much trouble.
I wouldn't say that developing good A.I is a challenge, more that developing fair, challenging A.I is a challenge.
Lots of games just resort to letting the A.I cheat and do things like read your button inputs. Developers don't want to make A.I this ridiculously good, and aren't skilled enough to gimp it just enough so that it's fair, but hard.
Oldskool shooters laughed at you for playing on easy all the time.
>Playing Ninja Gaiden black
>Keep dying and unlock the super easy mode
>Ayane literally starts treating me like a child
>Playing games for the story
>Watching movies for anything BUT the cinematography
>Reading books for anything other than the prose
>inb4 hurf durf it's not the same thing because i say so
I beat it on Uber and I'm a shit at FPS, it's really just about finding the best places to go in any given firefight, staying on the move, and being stealthy where possible.
The only really annoying bits are the part at the helipads at the very end of the chapter where you get the LaserKraftWerk and the last fight on the submarine with all those fucking shotgun guys. The shotgun guys are the worst.
Killer Instinct (SNES, not reboot)
There was a difficulty slider from 1 (Easiest) to 8 (Hardest). Only 4 (Default/Normal) and up allowed you to view individual character endings; otherwise, you just got a message from the devs telling you to get gud and try again on a harder difficulty.
What is the difference between The New Oder and The Old Blood?
Are they different games or is one DLC?
Theyre both 30+ gigs and i want to know which one to download.
Seconded. If people get some thrill out of making things harder in games where the combat isn't the main selling point, then more power to them. But I'll play Easy mode without shame.
dont think it was the developer but this
Wolfenstein: The New Order is a great game. Everybody should play it. It's a shooter for people who loves shooters and it's got a great story. I haven't played all the way through it but I've loved everything about it.... except for this screen.
Why is this even here? What is even the point of having this kind of super-easy mode if you're going to insult anybody that might actually want to pick the easiest mode? Is this a joke difficulty that's so easy that bullets don't actually hurt you or something? I know it's a reference to earlier games in the series, but it would have been just as weird back then, too. The imagery only seems appropriate if you are designing a mode that is actually designed for a baby to play! (Note: Babies should not play Wolfenstein: The New Order).
I don't know of too many other games that do this, but Ninja Gaiden Black is somewhat infamous for its "Ninja Dog" difficulty that is even more blatant in being an insult. It just strikes me as very weird. If you're gonna include a difficulty that's so easy that you basically insult any players that might wish to choose it, than just cut it so that it's not there at all. Nobody wants to pick a difficulty level that makes fun of you.
Because no life nerds have to feel good for something, they made those things so they can think "haha those casuls that can't handle this on hard" and then wank their little smegma filled penises that will never enter a vagina.
>die a few times
>game dynamically makes itself easier without asking
>want a challenge out of a medium designed to test the player
anon u dumb
>Higher difficulties just add in a fuckload more enemies
WHY DON'T ANY GAMES DO THIS ANYMORE?
IT WORKED BETTER THAN WHAT THEY DO NOW. FIVE BILLION HP ENEMIES AND A PROTAGONIST MADE OF WET PAPER.
>suddenly a troublesome Garrador despawns
fuck you game, don't patronize me
>medium that relies entirely on player feedback
>getting a refund is reasonable because the player is inadequate and picks something below normal
>when normal is what easy used to be
Most games or engines are too sloppily produced to handle enemy spam. You can blame the coders, artists, whatever, it doesn't matter. The average modern game can barely chug along while rendering a few enemies.
does it do anything other than make the game easy? i was always under the impression that if they were going to pick on you for playing it on easy then they should do something meaningful like block achievements for that play through or have the game constantly remind you what a bitch you are
I'm guilty of this. Warhammer 40k: Space Marine is a good example. It played bad, was repetitive, and generally not very fun but seeing real space marines fighting orks and demons was too much to pass up and played it only for the story.
And people say GamerGate doesn't harass people.
haha, you idiots like to work like schmuks and waste your time rather than feel like a god in games. Personally, I want to monsterkill nazis and enjoy the game creator's story rather than have aimbots headshot me over and over. I'm not going to apologize to /v/ scum for it either.
>don't know what the hell is going on
>all makes sense
>die some more
>"Would you like to lower the difficulty?"
Thanks for asking, BIA.
>Playing games for the challenge
"After you die five or six times, Ninja Gaiden Black offers you the "Ninja Dog" difficulty, which forces you to wear a girly purple ribbon and mocks you in the opening cutscene. And Ayane will insult you throughout the game when she helps."
>All of these people getting mad for playing in easy
And then they claim that gamers aren't a bunch of manchilds.
He's right, the fuck do you care what difficulty people play on? Only autistic retards play the hardest difficult to show how hxc they are to random retards on the interwebs. Grow up.
This shit ain't animated you pussy
Anyone have that comic where the guy finishes a game on uber difficulty, then in his mind his inner voices are saying like "He completed that stupid video game achievement, should we release serotonin in response?" "Haha fuck him" or something and then he posts "I hate video games" on /v/? Because that is the life of everyone who tries to force themselves to play on dante must die mode the first time.
The fuck do you care what that anon cares about? Only autistic retards argue to show how aloof they are to random retards on the interwebs. Grow up.
Literally how dumb you sound, tryhard.
Not sure but it definitely happens because a reviewer got called out for it and then changed his review so that no one would notice but didn't say that he had made the change.
He also kept the rest of the review and the score even though most of it was based on him being wrong.
>calling someone a try hard for playing on easy
What? I understand you wanted to make a cool rebuttal because someone disagreed with your autism fit but atleast try to make some sense, champ.
>Play on hard mode
>Game ends after first level
Nice come back, don't you have a game to speed run on the hardest difficulty to prove....something to....Who again? If you're going to challenge yourself at least do something people care about. Go beat a game in world record time, go win a SF4 tournament, go join a pro SC2 team. Beating a game your first time on a mode where you die on any hit and enemies take 70000 hits to die isn't impressive, it just shows you're a fucking autist.
I generally play on normal but for some games I have no issue jumpin down to easy so it's more fun. Killing things is fun.
150 cc on the Wii was fucking brutal man. The item hitstuns are long as fuck and the CPU will go out of their way to fuck you over. I still haven't 3 stared that shit. It's so god damn infuriating.
That was my "comeback" because sometimes, people post something that is honestly wrong in so many ways that it's not even worth correcting them.
That was you.
Also, I don't play on hard mode for anyone else. I do it for myself. And I derive pleasure from the knowledge that I was able to do it.
This is true for pretty much everyone who plays games on hard mode.
I don't expect you to get it, because you're a fucking kindergartener. But some people actually take pleasure in honing a skill or craft.
It's the same reason I do mental arithmetic, rather than grabbing a calculator. It makes you better at other, tertiary things.
But that's a side effect. Not the goal. The goal is always just to challenge yourself. If you're not trying to grow as a person, then you're a fucking useless ape who should just throw himself in the goddamn zoo.
>on easy mode the game only lets you make it halfway through the game
>once you beat the midgame boss you get a message telling you to play on a real difficulty and it kicks you back to the start screen
Looks like I'm plugging my PS2 back in. Again.
Oh, so the issue is you're a narcissist and unable to digest the idea your opinion is not an objective fact?
>I get pleasure beating on hard mode
And I don't. I just want to have fun because video games are entertainment, especially single player ones. If I want to test myself I'll play a competitive game or try speed running a game, not playing on a mode that literally does nothing but make me die in a hit and every enemy becomes a bullet sponge. Accept nothing you do will change others opinions and if people want to run games on easy you just have to deal with it instead of throwing a temper tantrum on a mongolian sweater enthusiasts subreddit.
Again, your opinions are not objective. What you consider the key point of a game does not necessarily hold true for others. I expect you to lash out in insults now due to an inability to process this since you spend most your time on a board that circlejerks
You are also being ultra black and white. Is it wrong for me to play easy in a genre I have never played before? Is it wrong to play easy in games where even normal is insanely hard (Catherine is a good example of this)?
If anyone was curious this has all the good shit in it
I play the game on the easiest setting first. My next playthrough, I play on the next difficult setting. Once I reach the hardest setting, all playthroughs will be on that setting again (like RE6, damn was it a challenge on some levels to get S rank on that DLC difficulty).
Are you completely insane? YOU'RE the one who posted "everyone who plays on DMD mode gets no fun from it whatsoever" in an antagonizing shitpost.
You're the one acting like your opinion is an objective fact.
Literally all I did was explain to you that you are demonstrably wrong, and therefore a fucking retard.
I am done spoonfeeding you. If you haven't developed even a first-grade level reading comprehension, you're not worth my time.
>pick hardest difficulty right at the start
>beat final boss
>holy shit that was pretty tough, but i wonder whats next
>turns out that was the hardest mode, and theres no unlockables
>nothing left to do
Why are you still using words you don't even understand? Keep tossing a fit, I'm going to play this game on easy just to watch you go into convulsions of rage at literally fucking nothing my communist friend.
It doesn't matter WHAT you think.
It matters what the creators think.
If it has gameplay, gameplay is core to the experience. Otherwise the developer would've made it a fucking book, or a movie, or anything else.
You don't get a fucking say, only the creators do. If it's a game, it's a fucking video game, treat it like it fucking is.
once you have played through once you never get to do it blind again. why waste the surprises and challenge of the first playthrough on a shitty difficulty with no challenge to it.
Most of the time Normal is far too easy.
The thrill and fun of playing the harder difficulties is the fact that in order to beat them you have to master the game mechanics and use the tools provided by the game.
You don't need to do that when you play on easy, because there is really no need to. Most of the time the enemies barely hurt you and they die almost instantly, giving you no challenge at all.
You can have this amazing game in your hands and literally ruin it by playing it on easy.
Entertainment value, and killing things is fun. Explain to me the enjoyment of beating a game with artificial restraints put on you? What's the point? Games are also interactive, a movie is not. Many games change drastically based on story choices.
I am the consumer so yes, I do get a say. If I want to play the game for story I will, and no one can stop that. If I wish to use the disc to play fucking frisbee I can because once the game leaves the publisher, he gets no say in what the fuck I do with it within the confines of the law. If the dev did not intend for me to play on easy then he should not have put it there.
I'll be honest.
I play most games on Normal for my first playthrough, but if I really just want to know a story on the first run I have a high chance of going Easy just to get a feel for everything and prepare myself for future playthroughs.
Especially if it's a game that promotes replayability, so I can clear Easy and then immediately jump to Normal or Hard. I beat KH2 on Beginner and then skipped straight to Proud and succeeded a week later.
>This game received awful critics because reviewers couldn't get past the first level
That shit makes me so fucking mad, God Hand deserved better.
No, you don't get a fucking say.
You can buy it. You can do whatever you want with it. But if you play the fucking game, you're playing by THEIR FUCKING RULES.
If you play on easy, you're playing a DUMBED DOWN VERSION of the game, because it's NEVER built on easy. Fucking ever.
For me, it sure would be. It's time to accept the world is full of different people. I say this for your own sake as if you cannot accept this you are dooming yourself to a life of anger and misery before dying of a heart attack at 35
>No you don't get a say
Then the dev better physically fucking stop me. Yes I do have a fucking say because I now own the game and the option was there. He can do fucking NOTHING about what I do. Get the fuck over it.
Sure I'll agree people that spend hundreds of hours to beat a single player game on the hardest mode are wasting their time. But honestly if you need to have such an easy experience that just shows you're easily stressed, poor at problem solving and just unintelligent in general.
The successful alpha male such as myself enjoys a riveting challenge in his free time, not some hand-holding experience for dumb plebs.
>final boss can't be fought on easy
I fucking love this shot takes a piss on casuals as they don't get the satisfaction of completing the game
le "other website is bad" meme xD
I reposted this to TvTropes, twitch.tv, FARK, Slashdot, Digg, MySpace, Facebook, Reddit, 9gag, 8ch, Voat, ustream, Amazon, NeoGAF, GameFAQs, Gaia online, World of Warcraft forums, Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, Pixiv, Kik, Snapchat, Omegle, AIM, MSN, Yahoo! >If you play on easy, you're playing a DUMBED DOWN VERSION of the game, because it's NEVER built on easy. Fucking ever.
It was their option to include an Easy mode, or in more recent times 'Casual' as I literally see games call it, and they took the time to have it rebalance the game to the point that some games even actually do alter things between difficulties. Saying a game is inherently dumbed down and not the developer's intent if you play on an easier difficulty is factually incorrect because they could've simply not offered an easier difficulty in the first place and they put it there to let those who may not be 'good' at the game to get in more comfortably.
If you really think easy modes are a problem, then you're the one with issues if you're thinking like this.
>win 500 PvP matches without losing once to master the Blood covenant
That shit was crazy.
That said, it was easy enough to rush through DaS2 two more times. And I enjoyed doing it, so no problem there.
>still thinks everyone in this thread is the same person
>still thinks anyone is falling for this stale bait
plz go. Even the level of trolling has fallen since reddit got here.
It's weird, Kingdom Hearts 2 does the same thing with Proud Mode where all enemies deal 2x damage to you and genuinely gave you no benefits to compensate besides unlocking the secret ending video more easily. Critical Mode in Final Mix+ stunts your HP and MP growth as well as taking away a quarter of earned EXP, but to compensate you do 1.25x damage (which matters, a Level 1 Sora in Critical with the right setup can do more damage than a Level 60 Sora on Standard) and get a host of extra abilities and bonuses to start with plus 3 AP for gains rather than 2 AP.
That's what normal is fucking for, easy is almost always so braindead that there isn't even the baseline amount of challenge required to be fun. Like I get not wanting to play ulitmate uber unwinnable mode, but how do you even have fun if you can't lose?
>Ninja Dog mode
>forced to wear purple ribbon
>Ayane mocks your manhood the entire game
Depends on the RPG. But in terms of straight-up, stat-based RPGs that often rely around turns, buffing the monsters and enemies up is usually the primary solution, yes. In ARPGs or so forth where stats aren't everything, however, there could be alternative solutions, most devs are typically really fucking lazy about it though.
>Ninja gaiden black
>choose easy difficulty
>They force you to wear a pink ribbon
She stops calling you master Ryu and refers to you as ''Young ninja Ryu'' She also starts saying shit like ''Just follow my lead and you'll be fine'' and ''I overestimated you'' she doesn't say this unless you pick the super easy mode and also you are forced to wear one of her headbands on your wrist for the whole game.
>game asks if I'd like to increase the difficulty after beating the first level on normal
I love this shit. Got anymore responses like this?
there's adding more moves, advanced status effects, and buffing enemy stats aside from health to make having optimised stat builds, inventory management, and knowing what move to use when more crucial
Ever since I became an achievements whore I always start at the hardest difficulty to unlock all the "finish the game in this or that difficulty".
It's interesting to realize that most games are not hard at all in their most hardcore setting, just actually challenging.
Normal mode is often easy mode, and easy is braindead mode.
not really. they could do things like limit the amount of saves you can do every hour. or increase the damage received by everyone to realistic levels, i.e, sword slashes doing half your health or bullets killing you in one shot (deux ex did this with its 'realisitc mode').
if its rpgs you could also increase the amount of monsters, modify the positions they appear in a level to make them harder to avoid, or even have completely different skill sets for bosses on harder mode.
increasing health is just in general a boring and not effective way of increasing difficulty by itself.
>Beat the game on very hard
>You unlock easy mode for the sole purpose of making you feel OP after suffering for so much
>Die a few times in an area
>Game sends you back a checkpoint
Super Mario Bros. U takes the piss out of you for dying one too many times.
I'm ashamed to post on the same baoard as you nigger.
>Games harder difficulties causes upgraded versions of old enemies with new abilities to spawn, as well as making all enemies tankier, faster, and a bit smarter
>playing on harder difficulties unlocks floors in the random mode dungeon that leads to the final final boss
>playing on harder difficulties causes all new gear you find to have way better effects, some even changing how some moves operate
>beat Legends 2 all the way through
>the game unlocks Easy and Hard
>they literally just permanently set your Digger Rank at certain levels to make it easier or harder, and Easy gives you the most overpowered shit in the game while Hard doubles all enemy health
>beating Hard unlocks Very Hard
It still boggles my mind for an Easy mode to be unlocked after beating a game, but in your context it makes sense
>>game asks if I'd like to increase the difficulty after beating the first level on normal
What game? Because that would actually be seriously awesome. A lot of games do the whole
>You lost a bunch of times in a row and clearly suck ass, would you like to activate babby flower mode?
thing, which leads to
>N-no t-thanks g-g-game
but I can't remember seeing the opposite (something like God Hand with good dynamic difficulty as a direct feature doesn't count). I think it'd be great though, "difficulty" varies so much between games it can be a total potshot, so sometimes I end up an hour in to a long ass game, am really loving it, but also really wish I could just crank it all the way up.
>beat very hard mode
>get a gimmick mode that changes the rules rather than just being harder
get the hard mode of that mode after
DmC wasn't that good, but beating Heaven and Hell only to unlock Hell and Hell was pretty cool.
>beating hard automatically gives you the medium and easy achievement
If you play Earthworm Jim Special Edition Sega CD on Easy, the ending consists of one the game's creators (Tennapel?) calling you a worm, and reading a scientific dissertation on worms in general.
Take Mario and Luigi Dream Team
You would think Hard Mode was just buffing enemy damage and resist, but no, your attack commands in general are all stricter, your only allowed to have 10 of each item(Unless you bypass with bottomless gloves) and the giant bosses have different attack patterns
Touhou 6 mocks you for playing in the easiest difficulty at the end of stage 5, and then doesn't let you play the final stage because it would be 2hard4u.
>Player Level Reduced by 99
>Partners on full Manual
Is there any other way to play? Gotta love those sweet drops
That so many games get shit like that wrong just makes it all the more wonderful when one gets it all so right.
>disagreement is harassment
and they say sjws don't browse /v/
>Suck at video games
>Still adamantly play on hardest difficulty available because pride and possibly masochism
>tfw clearing the game on a difficulty you had no right clearing through sheer force of will
I can't be the only one.
>hard doesn't count as finishing easy/med
>easy/med have unique rewards
>easy/med are required to beat the fucking game
fuck you sonic heroes
>alternative mode like European Extreme
What games have these? I know the aforementioned devil may cry has heaven or hell and MGR's revengeance is a more high stakes game rather than just being toughed than very hard. Anything else?
You are not, I know that feel. I actually badly injured the tendons in one my hands in a machine accident 5 or so years back. I'll never have good reactions for certain types of games ever again. Fuck if I'm not going to give it a go though, and the rare times I pull off even something like an S/1cc first loop in a shmup or something, something that I know decent people can practically do in their sleep, it feels great. Also helps me appreciate how good the truly amazing people are.
>Game throws in a better version of a power up to try to save you but doesnt help on fall hazards
>The glow on your file select is permantly stopped if you even think about completing the level with it
>was really disappointed no one had posted Gal Civ II, then saw this
Glorious work anon. That stuff was great.
I think I remember reading some interview where they said they did it because of reviewers: most of them play on easy mode, and the devs were worried that they'd ding the game's AI in the score for being dumb despite that. So they wanted people to know that it knew damn well what they were doing, it was just the difficulty not their design.
Forgot to mention that Bosses get new abilities or things thrown into their fight as well.
God Damn DC is so good
I was too busy looking at her fat chest she's better flat
>on the first playthrough
Who the fuck plays the same game more than once when there's a lot more games to play?
>tfw you still
>haven't beaten 101% hard
>you'll never unlock wonder bayonetta
IT WASN'T ENOUGH ENEMIES DO HALF MY LIFE WITH ONE HIT, BUT MY WONDER LINER DOESN'T SLOW DOWN TIME AND EVEN TAKING OUT A MORPH CONSUMES A BATTERY.
NEVER EVER GONNA FINISH THIS.
For a very hard game I play on little bitch mode the first time so that I can quickly enjoy the story, for every playthrough afterwards I play the hardest difficulty available.
It's been a very long time since I've played a truly hard game though.
Also what the fuck is up with MGR, why is Very Hard harder than Revengeance?
No bait, though. I'm genuinely curious. I have a big ass backlog and although I've loved many games I wouldn't go back to them when there's more shit i want to try
You are making me want to watch this just for Karen but so far what I've seen looks pretty moeshit, even for someone whose favorite anime is
There's more cute girls. Not as qt tho.
Jaffar's survival is totally dependent on luck
Nino survives unless she strolls into bolting range
Zephiel is an incompetent piece of shit who gets bodied if you don't make it there by turn 6/7
I know, that's how it is in 3D Land
But i was referring to 3D World, which will do it if you use it, but you can also regain the shine back if you recomplete the level without it appearing
Though it is very punishing that the easiest game in the series has the most brutal death penalty, you can;t get it back in 3D Land
There are no lewds of Lady Karen Kujou.
>having trouble on a boss in DMC4
>finally nail it, dodging like crazy
Actually I do it backwards; usually play the game on normal, but god fucking damn if I'm not redoing it until I get an S rank.
Stupidest thing I've seen today.
How can you feel like a god for completing a game when you made the game so easy a baby could complete it? That's not casual fun, that's some serious delusions.
>game FORCES you to step down the difficulty for the whole level if you die
>achievements for clearing each level on max difficulty
I've been trying to get S+ ranking on Azure Striker Gunvolt.
>you need to combo every single enemy of the stage while not getting hit even once and you must do it fast, too
Fucking devs. S Rank is often insanely difficulty in some games.
Assault Android Cactus is another game that I've played recently and requires you to combo through the entire stage.
>get hit even once
>have to restart
God. I'll still do it, though.
>game is multiplayer focused
>unlocks locked behind single player campaign
>just pick easy to blitz through it
That's ok when you do it after having already completed the game, but I try to stay away from one my first playthrough since its an obsession that can seriously ruin your playthrough.
>tfw your Karenbro has a heart attack
Rest In Peace my sweet sweet Karenbro
2016 - 2016
>he doesn't pick the hardest difficulty on the first playthrough
You want an obsession that can ruin first playthroughs?
100% Completion on first runs. Woe behold anyone that tries this in a Tales game, or any Tri-Ace games. And nothing but Game Overs and misery lie ahead for those that try to get every Red Star Ring on their first run in Sonic Lost World.
