What am i in for, /v/? never played it before.
Dragon's Dogma Leak bread
>inb4 piratefag!!1 no sequel bcauze of u !!1!!
already bought the game fag
Story is generic until the end, then it has a really good "twist".
Choose your waifu carefully.
The Dark Arisen zone (Bitterblack Isle I think it's called) is extremely fun and cool but much harder than the rest of the game, so probably beat the game or at least understand what you're doing first.
The game is great and the port runs well.
First timers, what are your first impressions or thoughts? Questions? I just want to relive first playing this.
>What am i in for, /v/? never played it before.
then play it duh
AI is set by the player that uploads them, so they can be good or shitty depending.
also rented pawns don't level so you need to rent new ones if you want a higher level pawn. This includes rook, the default 1st rental pawn.
doubt it, since 360 and ps3 didn't have it
>the health/stamina gauges are now awkwardly floating near the bottom of the screen because they removed the black bars
This is annoying me way more than it should.
Well it's a console game, thanks to the console fag
Could the Berserk stuff still be in the files? Can it be modded back in?
>owning a PS4
Those exclusives sure are great! Movies and a shitty Dark Souls clone in 30 FPS are truly for the players
Whether or not the pawn's AI is good depends on several factors:
>The two types of inclinations you give them.
>How you yourself play.
Pawns tend to copy what you do, so if you play as an aggressive melee character, consider making your pawn one, too. If you're playing as a caster, make sure your pawn is one as well. IIRC, they learn much faster if they share the same class as you, so consider changing your class to theirs temporarily.
If you want to change inclinations, then purchase some inclination elixirs from the man in yellow garb in that little wooden fortress area right outside of the fishing town. (I forgot its name.) They cost Rift Crystals, not gold, so be sure to remember that. There's one elixir that completely erases your pawns inclinations, basically making them neutral once again. The other elixirs give them a huge boost towards a certain inclination, adjusting their behavior.
Some inclinations are better for certain classes, and some inclinations are better off ignored altogether for many reasons. (I can go in-depth if you want.) Generally, these inclinations are good for pawns:
>Scather - Makes the pawn target the strongest enemies first.
>Mitigator - Makes the pawn target the weakest enemies first.
>Challenger - Makes the pawn target enemies using ranged weapons/magic.
>Utilitarian - Makes the pawn more inclined to use special strategies such as throwing items at enemies, utilizing skills that require more than one teammate (Such as the warrior skill that hoists an ally up into the air.), and also make them want to use curatives that restore HP for the entire group.
>Pioneer - Makes your pawn "fond of exploring", meaning that they will walk ahead of you rather than behind you.
All those inclinations I listed are good, but some classes prefer a certain combination. (At least, depending on how you want your pawn to act.) Inclinations you should avoid will be in the nest post.
I'm surprised BCG even has it. They usually wait for the scene releases for big games.
How long is it going to be like this? It's been like this for an hour.
ISDone.dll just kicked in m8. Have a good one.
Pawns wont shut up, now i understand those comics from two years ago.
Yes I realize thats why I asked if the people that do fall for it are fucking stupid, or fucking underage kids who got their first PC and are paranoid as fuck to break it because their parents paid for it obviously.
>Guardian - This is the worst possible inclination a pawn can have. It makes them act like a "guardian" to you-- they will stay at your side no matter what. While this might seem good, pawns with this inclination tend to do absolutely nothing EXCEPT for staying by your side. It's horrible, and I, personally, refuse to hire pawns with this inclination because 99% of the time they are useless in a fight.
>Nexus - This is basically the same as guardian, except your pawns will focus more on your other pawns instead of you. Avoid this at all costs.
>Acquisitor - This one isn't as bad as Guardian/Nexus, but it's still very annoying. It makes your pawn pick up every item nearby, even in the midst of a fight. It's not a useful inclination at all.
Then there's the last inclination, Medicant. That one, if anything, is gimmicky. If a pawn has it as their inclination, they will prioritize healing. A mage pawn with this inclination will keep your party in top shape, and a pawn that lacks healing spells will use any curatives in their inventory. You can give one of your pawns a special shawl from the bald, rich man in Gransys and then give them this inclination. The effects of their curatives will be increased, and they will often use them as long as they have a healthy stash in their inventory. I'd only really give this inclination to a dedicated healer pawn, but as a secondary, not a primary, inclination.
Oh, and another thing I forgot to mention: Your pawn has a primary and secondary inclinations. The primary one is the way they will usually approach situations with, but the secondary inclination affects behavior, too.
Bestiary knowledge also determines how effective your pawn will be against certain enemies. Try doing everything you can to kill an enemy. That's how pawns learn to effectively deal with them in many situations.
Figured half of the people who downloaded the torrent forgot by time they fucking finished. Did you at least the crack?
So can we agree that it is a shit port?
I can't get stable 60fps on 1080p on this shit with everything on medium, yet i run MGSV on 1080p and 60fps on high/ultra
Jesus christ, didn't expect this from MT framework
It wont have a fast speed anymore, about 200 seeds for 400 leechers since it was linked in the previous DDA thread. But whatever
Some that at least sounds convincing.
>No malware detected
>No new processes
>No suspicious programs installed
>Doesn't even ask to turn off your antivirus
So far it's only been "lmao trust me, it's a bitminer"
No I just searched it without spelling errors. : )
>Before the port was announced: NEVER EVER PKEKS #4THEPLAYERS
>After the port was announced: W-We never liked it anyway, you can have it.
So you niggas sayin you can't make a pawn without internets?
Yeah that's pretty bizarre, I have a 660ti - I have it on an SSD though, that might make a difference, the game doesn't load models/textures for stuff until it actually enters your view, so a janky harddrive might cause a lot of stutter.
You can make a pawn and recruit generic NPC pawns, you just can't get pawns from other players/whore yours out.
>the game doesn't load models/textures for stuff until it actually enters your view, so a janky harddrive might cause a lot of stutter.
that must be it, i'm running it on a hdd
How do you like to play? Fighter seems vanilla, but it's a pretty good mix of offense + defense, strider is fun if you want fast knife-play, bows, and being able to climb on enemies faster than any other class. Mage is shit and should only be used by pawns. If you want a magic class, get to Gransys (The first large city in the game.) and become a Sorcerer. They're the real magic-slinging class. They start off with the same offensive spells as Mages, but after some vocation leveling, they will get their own offensive spells.
Shit, same. I swear so many games just run like fucking shit on AMD processors for no apparent reason. It's really frustrating. Downloading the game right now, hope it'll run ok.
>Shit main game.
>Great post game and DLC.
>Stupid story that shits itself at the end.
>The best loot system in all creation.
>An almost decent day/night cycle.
>Retarded companion AI.
>A great, flawed game.
Press home to turn off AO.
Fighter/Strider/Mage are all fine end game. Mage doesn't get the catastrophe level spells, but due to what might be a bug/design oversight, the highest DPS Mage/Wizard tend to do is with a basic holy enchant anyways.
The Hybrid classes can do some fairly insane shit, but it's more that they can be OP than the other classes underpowered, and in Magick Archer's case, their OP shit kinda relies on a small enclosed space to function really well.
Just trust me dude, I've been playing the whole day without any issues at all.
>y-your just a pleb who knows nothing!!
I'm a sys admin, if something was wrong with the torrent I would have probably noticed by now.
Point of view probably.
Just trying to help you anon.
There are texture mods, an THE WIND IS PUSHING ME mod, cheat tables, and more on the way.
It's not a generic preset so it most certainly is a mod.
So with the schoolproject download, I also grabbed the crack from that post as well. My AV is showing the steam_api.dll as being a trojan, so I'm wondering if there's a way to decompile or confirm that the .dll isn't full of bullshit?
Nigger nobody cares about the graphics in terms of how impressive they are, they care because of how much fucking worse the game looked and ran on consoles.
I loved this game, and I've played a lot of bad looking choppy console games but Dragon's Dogma, while having excellent gameplay, was unflappably bad looking and choppy. I'm psyched to get to play it where I'll actually enjoy it.
>Oh no, I've been made! Better act like a idiot to pretend that I don't suck David Cage cock and <30 FPS games
Couldn't get into this game back when it was on PS+. Impressive mechanics that were ruined by dependence on AI teammates. The combat at from the few hours I played was all repetitive trash mobs or super scripted "boss" fights that were pathetically easy despite their scale. Maybe I was looking for cuhrazy or Souls action and ended up with Skyrim if it was actually good. On the plus side, no condescending tutorials!
Should I give it another look? Does the game become difficult where the skills and mechanics matter?
>you're a sony fan because I say so
Then I guess you wouldn't object to being called a Microshill, huh?
I don't have autism or pedophilia tenancies.
Please don't shoot up a school or anything. You seem like the type.
It just needs color correction. The game has some DOF which you should turn off.
I didn't fuck around with reshade's dof too much either because there is a UI that gets blurred if you do it wrong and it takes a lot of tweaking to get it as a proper distance blur. Maybe I'll do that today.
B... but PC is just a meme!
Right guys? Guys?
>Princess and Nun clothes are in the game
YES GOD DAMN IT THIS WAS ALL I FUCKING ASKED FOR.
I don't know anything about the game and I'm going to just yolo this shit senpai.
is there any safe versions of this? always hear about the miners and malware etc
i have brought it already, just dont want to wait a week
Think we'll get a mod that adds multiple save files?
Just root around for 'em. Should end up something like this for you:
>For DDDA Pirate:
>For DDDA Retail:
>C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/DDDA/...
>C:/Users/Name/My Documents/My Games/DDDA/...
In any case, you're looking for a file called "DDDA.sav".
does this game have any value outside of "lol, lolis"? i love rpgs and honestly want to know.
Got it guys, I was trying to install it to another drive, but the drive it was currently being held in had not enough space to unpack it I guess.
No, you're imaginative. You might even get a girlfriend someday!
Actually hated DP, but everything i've seen on this game seems solid. Sounds like the performance issues were ironed out, so the only real deal breaker would be controls.
Is it intuitive the camera retarded?
You'll do fine by focusing on Sorcerer, but you will pretty much become a glass cannon with shit stamina.
I recommend getting some levels in Ranger early on since Ranger gets a lot of stamina on level-ups and high-end spells eat up stamina like crazy.
They're just fucking memers.
Literally every one of the millions of loli pawns in the original were shitty mages with barely any armor.
This game actually has pretty shitty customization if you want to go full pedo and make a loli, since no matter what they'll look bad.
Like those small pornstars who star in "teen" videos, but are actually 30 years old and have a wrinkled face.
The torrent is 5GB, so I run the setup.exe, and it's apparently going to install 45-50GB. How does that work?
Play as mage till level 10. They only have basic offensive spells and act mostly for support.
Then swap over to Sorcerer. You may want to play some Ranger for high stamina growth. High levels spells cost a lot of it.
Keep in mind that stat gains are diminished past level 100 (I think). So if you wanted "pure mage" you should do Mage until level 10 and then sorcerer until 100. From then on you can switch classes with little penalty to stats.
If you play a lot of Sorcerer you can play a pretty effective Magic Archer or Magic Knight as well (especially MA).
Wait so is it possible to download the crack and then play my steam preloaded version with it or something?
My internet can download this shit in like 20 minutes but I dont really like pirating stuff.
REPOSTING OFFICIAL /v/ CENSUS
Anyone else having controller issues? No other thread seems to mention any.
Using DS4W with a DS4 (duh) and have fucked up issues. Sheathe/unsheathe is the same as block and normal attacks are the same as heavy attacks.
Also only shows number inputs for my controller, like button 1-10, they disappear the second I use my 360 controller and re-appear again as soon as I'm doing no input.
I'm using DS4 too. It's fucked up at first. But if you reassign all the buttons manually then they'll all work properly. But the numbers 1-10 will persist.
Also, it's annoying that the button displays keep swapping around whenever I press one. Not sure why.
Since Dark Arisen is coming PC on Friday I decided to beat the game again. If anyone wants to share in the experience I can get a stream going as I finish a few more Everfall dungeons and then go to the final confrontation.
accuracy is obiously better, no lock on(it never existed on console versions either)
i don't like that i have a shit ton of other important buttons(skills/bow toggle) around WASD, so it hinders the movement a little bit. But that could be fixed by binding them to mouse if you have one of these g@m3r mouses. Overall it's alright i guess
>i don't like that i have a shit ton of other important buttons(skills/bow toggle) around WASD, so it hinders the movement a little bit.
How come you don't like that? It's usually desirable to have keys where you can easily reach them.
Suppose I'll have my DS4 around in case I go shopping or running around in the city for extended periods of time though.
np, I know that feel of happyness. They know it aswell
HOW DO I FIX THE BACKSPACE SO IT DOESN'T EXIT THE FUCKING MENU IN CHARACTER CREATOR
You can dispatch them easily with the right strategy. Attack from behind until it's tail falls off making it pretty much harmless then move onto the next. Once their tails are gone it's easy to just run around finishing them off.
Should be able to. There's been some scare-mongering of a day-one patch that'll disable saves from the pirate version, but I really doubt they'd fuck around with the file system less than a week out from release.
On console you could swap save files just fine, only got weird with the nexus if you did it too many times in a day (usually done for duping, so you'd lose your nexus access for a bit) but otherwise it was fine.
Sapphire Ghz edition. GPU clock at 1170 and memory clock at 1320. Make sure your power limit is at +20%. I didn't want to mess with voltage but I could probably overclock it higher.
Are there any advantages rolling as a loli?
Like, does character size play a role?
This. I choked my outgoing to 50 kbps because it was trying to send out faster than it was coming in.
WHAT THE FUCK?
FUCK YOU FAGGOTS FOR SAYING IT DOESN'T HAVE A MINER
im playing as an assasin, do i get like a dodge roll later on? also how do i make my pawn to become a buffing machine? not sure how pawn learning works. this game is pretty awesome though
That's what I was afraid of. I think the library used by most games that support controllers actually require them to have xbone style icons. I think Dork Souls is the only exception to this, or rather they included both icon sets
I can't remember, was there a way to look at your character and pawn's creation stuff after you started to play the game? I sort of wanted to "port" them over. All I can remember is the barbershop which only does hair and makeup.
What the hell has been going on with Gazelle all of 2015? I swear they were down more last year than they were actually up.
Will save files be easy to transfer in this game? I'm considering pirating it, but I don't want to invest a whole weeks worth of progress only to lose it when I buy the actual version come release.
I just opened the start menu, opened the dragons dogma folder, clicked on the first thing in that folder and just clicked on continue.
shit was all in russian and i had my brain turned off
Dodge Roll becomes available once you level up a Dagger class's vocation level enough. It's a skill you can buy and once bought it stays active as long as you play a Dagger class.
As for Pawns buffing, sit them down at the seat in Gran Soren's Inn. They'll ask you questions on how to better themselves and you can change their behaviour that way. There are other places you can do this, but the Inn is the easiest to find.
>If you wants to fuck with your own textures: http://residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/481/arc-unpacker-repacker-v0-26 - this guy's unpacker works, use the PC-RE6 batch file, just edit in -tex flag on the batch file, drag and drop the relevant .arc file on the batch file, find your texture you want to fuck with (adding -tex makes the unpacker create a .dds file as well as the game's format: .tex), edit the .dds, and here's the important part: read the .txt file the unpacker generated for the texture file, make sure you're saving your .dds as the correct format : either DXT1 or DXT5, with alpha channel. Then when you've mucked around with all the textures, drag the folder onto that same batch file - this will create a new .arc that you can drop in your game files (back up your original).
>added a simple script, Secret of Metamorphosis, which allows you to use the Secret of Metamorphosis without finishing the game first.
great for sharing sliders

(way too blue)
So, I'm playing for the first time and I want to create a damage dealer Mystic Knight. How should I proceed?
You and everybody else
There's like 4 pawn types in this game. Brown tomboy, brown elf, loli, and actually interesting pawns.
I dont understand why you pirate it if you allegedly bought the game
Just wait five fucking days. The whole allure of dragon's dogma is playing with other people's pawns, you're just ruining the experience with shitty offline pawns.
Are you that autistic that you can't wait 5 days?
Well, I do know that they removed the Guts and Griffith armors due to licensing. Perhaps they removed the jap voices as well.
Magick Knight is a spellsword class, but they can only use swords, mace
