I'm glad /v/ likes Nuclear Throne. I got it about a year ago when it was still in early access, and beat it a couple times. It's got a lot of screen shake, explosions and stuff.

I wonder if the game is any different now than it was then, when it was getting updates like every week or two. The Nuclear Throne boss fight was pretty lackluster. I guess I could reinstall and see for myself.

If you want good defense, Eyes is probably even better than crystal. With slower bullets+stronger TK, projectiles basically can't hit you, but he's great even without those mutations

Anyway, crystal isn't that great late-game, aggression amd/or ammo stuff is more important there. Every character can work.

I bought it and played 5 hours and I think it's great.

These days, I've become apathetic towards games, jaded I guess. So I always give up after 30-45 minutes. Or, I die or something bad happens in the game and I give up immediately and just close the game.

But with NT, I actually keep playing and trying again and again. I tilt a bit though when I die after getting far, so then I run around wildly and sometimes just die immediately again. But I keep trying. So that's a nice feeling. Not giving up.
