Multiplayer Visual Novel

You play with up to 3 people, controlling the fate of a single character. Every time you get to a fork in the route, a minigame starts between the players. The winner decides which route to take. The minigames are varied between shmup sections, puzzles, platforming, racing etc.

Every player has a specific goal, like getting the character killed as quickly as possible, fulfilling a specific requirement of a story (date girl X or Y but not Z) and so on.

Playtime is between 1 and 2 hours per story.

It's like pokemon but like, humans are the pokemon and the pokemon are the trainers.

I'm working on an edgy game where you play as the leader of a terrorist organization. You have to manage your followers (keep them from deserting, or trying to overthrow you), indoctrinate kids and poor people, recruit more intelligent people to build your operation larger, and plot out attacks to bring your enemies to their knees. A fun tactic is making it look like a local group did it instead of you, and having the nation start a civil war.

I'm too shit at art, so it'll be a pixelfag game, unfortunately. I wanted to expand it so that you have a bit of an open world, so you could play out your terror plots, but it proved beyond my abilities.

A construction steel beam teeters over a person lying on the ground. It slowly hovers and sways, and shows a target receptacle to where it lands.

With a button press, you release the beam and it smashes the person's head below. The goal can vary between events, such as how completely you can obliterate the head or how far of an area of blood splatter you can create from the strike. Replay mode allows you to watch in any camera angle and frame rate, so you can watch the head deform and brains slowly squeeze out from the skull as it is crushed.

Character targets are DLC. No political figures, but everyone else is fair game. Pewdiepie one week, Justin Bieber the next, Zoe Quinn afterwards, etc. And you can smash their heads over and over and over again to your heart's content.

by having a good relation with a good he grabts you abilities and all that (stats, enchanted weapons, spells).
you can't get stronger by leveling! this is the only way except for itens to become more powerful.
you obviously cant 100% every god. at some point you become someones champion and can order his followers but you get attacked by others etc.

what you can also do is permanently acquire the gods powers through items and crafting. this allows you to become really powerful and OP if you play long enough. you have to do stuff like killing demons and angels or whatever to gain soul shards corresponding to a god (just make sth. up), find gear, do "secret" quests.

thats the game. you can focus on embracing a religion and becoming the champion of a god (a bit more roleplay) or become a god yourself (a bit more grind)

A pre-apocalypse RPG. You do a series of increasingly futile quests to stave off absolute destruction, but in the end all you can do is make the destruction slightly less terrible. And then you die. Lots of easy achievements/trophies though.

A fighting game with stamina/"shields". Blunt attacks, like fists, deal damage to stamina to an extent, at which point they're able to inflict health damage, while Sharp attacks, like knives, deal direct damage. The idea is that you have to trade off between battering an opponent with your fists and make it difficult for him to immediately respond after a combo versus giving him every opportunity to fuck you up after you stab them.

You are a knight in Silent Hill. It has Morrowind's fatigue system, with a couple minor changes. Unlike other horror games, you are tanky as shit. The issue with that is, that running drains your stamina. So does attacking. So does being hit. And if you are hit when you have no stamina, all the damage that would have been dealt to your stamina is dealt to your health as well. Because stamina management is so vital for survival, there's a couple ways to regenerate it. You can sit down and start regenerating it quickly, but it leaves you vulnerable to attacks. Standing still keeps you ready to fight should you need it, but it's about half as good as regular regeneration. You can also just keep walking, but that's even less than just standing.

The story is that you are a lord and something has been making your people extremely upset and decrying you, and you, being an actually noble nobleman, are upset as well, so you go to the villages to see what the problem is, when you discover there's little that isn't a problem. In an attempt to save your reputation, you swear that you will not hide behind an army, and face down whatever horrors in your way with steel and courage, for better or for worse.

An open world "j"RPG with 80s anime aesthetic and tone with elements from WRPGs where you're playing as a lone wanderer in a Mad Max-esque dystopian wasteland with nothing but a run down motorcycle. As you traverse the wasteland you will come across warlords, bandits, and just horrible people acting out of desperation and countless badlands wildlife. The main character is armed with nothing but a melee and an old handgun for a good chunk of the game. Firearms in general are very rare to come by whereas melee weapons are common. The main character acts as a lone vigilante who goes between settlement to settlement to take justice into his own hands and kill local highwaymen and shit. You have to balance hunger, thirst, and survival skills out in the wilderness, and you'll be using random melee weapons most of the time because ammo is so incredibly rare that a gun will probably never be used unless in clutch moments against bosses. Although the game has an element of free-roam open world, the game also has a heavy plot which involves some savage mongol-esque warlord's plot to take over the wastelands. Also the game has a kickass 80s synthpop soundtrack. Think something along the lines of a weebier mad max and fallout. Obviously Hokuto no Ken's the main influence.

So Moominvalley has some weird sleeping curse put on it that makes characters in the valley get stuck in their dreams, you go into their dreams to battle monsters and shit, maybe have minions in a Pokemon style but I hadn't really thought about it much. Just figured the two worlds thing would be cool to have the idyllic art style for the real Moominvalley and something a bit darker for the nightmares. Also works around having penalties for getting beaten being against the tone, instead of dying you get kicked out of the dream world and have to start that level again. Maybe it turns out it was the Groak making the people have nightmares or something.

Daylight time has stuff where you grow crops with Moominpappa and craft recipes with Moominmamma, maybe some other stuff for more Harvest Moon elements.

Art style of the old anime Moomin cartoon that aired in the early 90s.

Fantasy Post-Apocalyptic with a lot of RPG elements.

It'd have gameplay a lot like Metro.
You are as squishy as enemies and can carry around 5 weapons at most.
Forget about being the chosen one. You're a bloke or gal like everyone else.

Morality system would be the most polished aspect of the game. Most of time you won't have a clear idea of what you're doing. You will most likely screw someone over by doing something good at some point. Sometimes you'll have to be evil to survive.

You don't have a set karma value. Most people won't know what you did, unless there were witnesses. And even then, the whole continent isn't going to know that you stole an apple just because some random kid saw you.

Romance system probably wouldn't be there. I have yet to see a game where it adds anything to the experience.

Maybe I'll add fantasy races, maybe it'll just be humans. It sure as hell isn't going to be humans/elves/dwarves, though. Racism can be a cool part of the story if pulled off right, like The Witcher or Elder Scrolls.

I don't know about the art style. I don't know the fantasy equivalent of hazmat suits or wastelands. Post-Apoc is usually realistic, so I don't have much inspiration.

A game that explores the mechanic of flying. Ever since the failure of Superman 64 I've been fascinated by how difficult it is to implement such a simple concept in a game.

Basically, you have one control to accelerate/decelerate and most of the player's attention would be on changing directions. If you have a touchscreen or something like the wiimote it would be easy to change direction rapidly, like a Macross plane.

It's like an open world Monster Hunter game with RPG elements and survival themes. World is pretty much empyt expect ruins and monsters. You try to upgrade your gear and survive, there's litttle to no story. Everything is mostly unexplained.
