It sucks that - THAT is probably the reason we can't get so and so many games remastered or sequels. Sucks. I understand why, but still sucks.

This was the fault of Shuei Yoshida who didn't want to localize Demon's Souls first hand, so Atlus has the rights of DeS on the US, while Bamco does in Europe (which is also what lead Bamco to negotiate the Dark Souls series with From, totally cucking Sony).

Demon's Souls remaster or sequel is never happening but that's okay because DeS is a great game as it is, and I think a sequel would be disappointing. Dark Souls was basically the sequel anyway. A DeS sequel after all these years and Souls games released wouldn't feel fresh or unique again.

Because there are already way to many remasters nowadays.
They're not even remasters, they're just the same game put up to 60fps, and that's all Demon's Souls will be if it gets remastered.
Remastering a game from 1 generation ago is stupid, especially if it's from 8th gen to 7th gen where the only difference between the two is resolution and frame rate.

If the PS4 ever gets backwards compatibility then we might see it this gen. I'm not desperate to play DeS but I'd like to if the chance came up.

Software emulation would cost a lot of money for Sony to develop. They might do it, but it is a stretch. Online streaming is just fucking retarded but it sadly may be more likely.

Beat it recently before moving to Bloodborne and I thought DeS looked beautiful the way it was. You only want the concept of a remaster on paper. You'd beat it once again, even faster this time and shelf it.

Yeah, I think it will come after or before DaS3 DLC/Game of the year edition. I think they are going for rotating between one multiplat and one exclusive release.

They say there is a new PS4 exclusive in the works by From. Miyazaki also said that he is done with Souls/BB type games after DaS3 so the game in question could be something completely different or a remaster of something old.
