>>323428603 All the effort and time spent to do things japs cab do at the drop of hat.(Using services and what not) And the patch is only useful for the menus, translation is usually and episode later than the original so lore fans are still kinda left hanging on something things wanna know about.
I think one of the main issues about bringing it over now is that it had a lot of crossover shit going on. Apparently in the US/EU, that shit is a lot harder to legally manage, which is why you rarely see massive crossover games come over to the US, like Super Robot Wars.
>>323429043 Because SEA is a prime example. Before you start calling names use your brain for a few seconds. All the JP content is via collaboration with all the IPs that are unlikely to leave japan anytime soon.
>>323430405 Technically PSUP was the evidence it should have been brought over here. That the hype centered aroundd when we had a western website, and the many who got a vita specifically for it over here too
problem with every pso ever though is region exclusive updates and content which are largely in japan's favor. i mean shit, most of the stuff they promote are dubbed in english and on netflix for fucks sake, it's not some niche ips with only jap appeal
>>323431617 >Giving SEA and english verison, a much smaller sheltered region in most cases,, who barely support said language over there, and using the results as a conclusion of what would happen in the actual region it should have been given too.
>>323432720 They won't. The amount of things they'd have to strike from the game due to copyright alone is enough to make it not worth doing. Think about it, all the levels, monsters, events, and so on they'd have to take out would make this already barebones game even worse. Take away a chunk of dressup and it becomes worse. Not to mention people that wanted to play it, already have. The other ones forgot about it and moved on.
>>323433231 Why dont you ask SEA and their samurai and wizards
>>323433378 >all those hours of grinding affixing weapons >all those hours of getting money TO grind affix craft weapons >I'll just throw that away and start at episode one because muh western release lmao ok
I've only ever done that for like 12 hours of my 200+ Career. Even if i did waste that many hours like you did it would only be a minor set back, plus it means i'lll be able to get more of my friends to pick up and play this as well
>>323434091 I remember trying to get my friend to play once. Got him all set up after his constant bitching and complaining about how hard setting up a Sega ID was only for him to redownload ESO and play that like instead the wanker.
>>323428603 >Is there any downside to not playing the jap version It's years behind watered down and charges for things that are free in the real version. There's only one real PSO2 and if you want to play it then stop procrastinating because it ain't gonna get much more English than it already is with the patch.
>>323436758 I guarantee you that won't happen. It'll 'overwhelm' the playerbase. Plus they'd have to REMOVE a ton of shit, though most of it would be cosmetic, as the game's dressup part THRIVES on crossovers.
>>323436785 I'd rather play with JP players anyways after hanging around Ship 2 for even a fucking week.
>>323429354 >jump through 50 hoops just to get premium currency. Why's this even a factor? It's a free game. Once you put a whole bunch of hours in there might be 1 (ONE) purchase worth making. (It's the inventory expansion, and it's permanent.)
>"Either you spend your optimizing for the most damage output or your just standing around not actually pllaying." > you can't you can't progress and just play the game with out putting tons of thought into optimizing and weapon crafting
The way i see it is, until I i reach a point where i actually feel like I need to put effort into it i don't freakin' need it. Im already well on my past super hard and so far i still have not reached that point of needing to prioritize it
don't forget it's also a barren wasteland, ships are almost empty, floors are almost empty, drop rate is ridiculous, exp rate as well, prices for cash stuff are inflated compared to the japanese counterpart and it also lags like fucking shit, it's like they wanted their version to fail no matter what.
even worse, the users from that part of the world are ip banned from the main servers of jap PSO2, so they cannot run back to it, lost several guildmates over that
>>323437396 >He needed written instructions on how to double click the icon on the desktop
I don't think it's possible to self-insert into someone like that. It's like that class I took in college for a prerequisite where being able to download files from the internet was considered 'Advanced' for the class.
>>323437142 >region block, This old meme? There was never a region block. Sega updated their network, old and busted ISPs that used old technology could not see the new routes to their servers. Literally your fault for having a shit ISP, never affected anyone with a decent one. Still the routes eventually got distributed to the shit ones so it's probably fine on your shit internet now.
>>323434091 >not prioritizing crafting after knowing what the fuck to do for your final build >not being the most OP motherfucker in the entire guild doing the most DPS and actually doing something unlike the useless fucks dying off or letting the main objectives die so you only leech off from people during 12 man events then
>>323438036 No i pull as much weight as as anyone else, it's not hard, it just means you need to focus on the vitals more. And it's usually the op mofo that forgets about the objective die. Shit happens every apprentice run I've been in so far seen
>>323438671 Because all the good shit is up on the marketplace and the only thing you really would need it for is getting 10-11* units and weapons early (which doesn't matter because as of right now the best early game weapons are, like, 8* extended with a certain unlocked potential). 12* exchange passes are given out during Maximum Attack via titles for free plus you get a pass for free anyways so if there's a nice 12* you want you can buy it off the marketplace that way. 13* weapons are untradable and easy as fuck to get now with some grinding.
>>323438671 And what are you going to trade? The best weapons are untradeable and the not best weapons are all over the place. Can't walk two steps without tripping over a space monkey who dies and coughs up eighteen 10* weapons.
if you're still 45 then it's okay, you might want to level up when you can go to emergency quests, if you die too much solo then try to snag a party by talking something like "LFP (difficulty) EQ" near the counter when the EQ is about to start, you get some good drops from emergency quests.
During SH emergency quests you will get a TON of 10* and upwards items, if you are not going to use the items, then exchange them for excubes, excubes are exchanged for either tickets for advance missions, success rate crafting stuff (save them for times when you need tu craft 11* items or upwards and during crafting success rate+ events) or misc.
Before the current update I used to level up at first and get decent to okay items from emergency quests until I hit 50, then I would hoard the SH emergency quests I could land on 50-55, then look out for active guilds or players to keep leveling further, check out on the wiki what weapon would you like to grind for when you are able to equip them, some of them from advance quests, some of them from stages or some of them from EQ bosses
Also you can burn 2 excubes for FUN 1000 Tickets when you have the opportunity to do so you can get neat stuff from the daily slots, try this when you have hoarded a ton and don't know what to do with them, since you can get shop items and etc.
You might want to check guides on your optimal build and subclass for your build and what type of stuff to feed your mag to complement your build btw
Played PSO ep 1and2 for many years from dreamcast to gamecube to xbox and I am looking for a grindfest to sink my time into. Can anyone tell me from experience if the Japanese server is worth your time to play on? Not looking for you to hold my hand, just want to get some insight from someone with personal experience. Many gracious thanks in advance cutie pies.
